I watched him playing for Barca this season, it was not a very good season. He did have good preformances but it was not consistant. I do have to say he played very well against Man U.

I think when we're talking about Rambo we need to remind ourselves again and again that his soul is in Italia.

He isn't a success in Spain. Once he gets back to Italy things will be radically different.

The same can be said about Kakā. It doesn't mean the player is over the hill.

Coaches and players around the world are advising us not to sign Ronaldinho but more quality players that will start a new circle. I do not know. i admire Dinho and I would be super extatic to see him in Milan. Even dough I always liked Milan and itailan football becouse they played smart and with a lot of thinking on and off the field...

For Milan players like Zambrotta, Alves, Lahm, Zapata, Frey, BENZEMA ( future's best forward alongside Pato ), Nasri are the ones who should start a new circle.

To invest 100mln in 5 or 6 new fresh players, who will have smaller wages then Drogba or Dinho would also be great. But if make that decision we need to pick our players extremly carefully. To think that L'pool will sell Torres in insane, but IF that is about to happen due to the debts - we are crazy not to pay all the money they ask. The same goes to players like Huntelaar, Benzema, Diego, Nasri, Alves...are they goods enough? More then good enough.

fingers crossed for some changes, I think Berlusconi knows it, its just a question of money now.

P.S.
just imagine if Milan signs Zmabro, Lahm who's contract expires and Bayern will 90% sell him, one GK, Flamini ( 0 e ), NAsri ( possible ) and a forward like Benzema 8 only expensive palyer ). That would be a completely different team from the one we have now.

Or, we go for 2,3 great players and hope the rest stays healthy unlike this year.

I agree with a fire sale in Milan but just how many players should come in??

I believe that getting a really good keeper like Buffon is a must as quite frankly, I think if Buffon is our goalie, we would still be in the CL and should be top 4 without any problems.

We are a couple of defenders short as Simic, Cafu, Serginho and Favalli just cannot cut it for us and with guys like Maldini, Oddo and Janku always injured, we really need to buy defenders. If Zapata, Zambro, even Grosso or Vargas can really come to Milan, those are more than we need. I explained earlier that all Milan really need are Zapata and Zambro, as Zapata will allow KK to play LB and Zambro will be our RB, with Oddo, Bonera, Maldini/Darrian, Janku off the bench.

Midfield is another area of concern, as Emerson and Brocchi are way below Milan level. Guys like Flamini, Aqualini are welcome.

As for Strikers, Ronaldo is a lost cause, Gila needs a new environment.
Polaschi needs time, thus two to three more strikers will be welcome, my picks are Boreillo, Drogba and Dinho.

Realisticly, I think Milan will have about 8-9 new faces.
1 GK(hopefully Buffon)
1 CB(Zapata)
2 FB(Zambro and Grosso)
2 MF(Flamini and Aqualini)
2-3 fowards/strikers(Boriello, Drogba and maybe Dinho)

Who did we compete against for KAKA, Sheva & Nesta?
I've read somewhere that Chelsea offered more money than what we did for Kaka but he chose Milan. Back in 1999 Sheva attracted many big clubs after his scoring 10(?) goals in UCL that year, including a hattrick against Barca. The same thing happened with Nesta. Milan got them after paying money which wasn't a small number at all to be honest. My point is although money plays an important role, a player needs think about other things too like the club and its ambition, the players that are already there, etc

Mrki....u say we are linked with Nasri?

Never heard/read that anywhere recently....he is a player I rate highly...so I would love for him to join (prob even more than I want R10)...but after an initial rumor sometime ago for a possible swap deal involving Gourcuff, I haven't heard/read anything else.....

http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Primo_.../flamini.shtml
-------------

Gazzetta says that we have agreed the personal terms with Flamini. It also says something about him not wanting to join Juve. (I might be wrong on the latter)

If Flamini news is true then bravo to milan management. This would make an excellent start to our mercato. B4 this season I was not that impressed with him, he was used a lot at LB, but in CM he comes into his own. The only better would've been De Rossi, but he is married to Roma.

flamini is great ... but he may not play as we expect him to do ... so if real are offloading diarra it won't be bad to pay 15-20 mils to get him ... along with zammbrotta (10 mil)... lahm(15mil) ... zapata/mexes(10mil) ... boriello(8mil) and huntelaar/dinho(15mil) .... sheva(loan)
we will have a completely different team with only 75-80 mils and they will all agree to play in the uefa cup i think and we will easilly win the scudetto along side...:p

don't forget we have abbiate coming from loan and gourcuff and bonera and darmian can play more ... also the fact that we will sell emerson + brocci + simic + gila + releasing cafu and serginho ... we will have an intersting champions squad of an average age of about 24

lots of news today, especially with Galliani going over the market.

First and biggest news surrounds Flamini, who according to Gazzetta is all but a Milan player now, with the contract agreed on (apparently we will pay an extra 1m euros a year compared to Juve's offer). The main factor that makes me feel confident that he's ours is the sudden change in tone of Gigli, who replied "No" when asked if Juve were getting Flamini (let's not forget it's only been a couple of days since he was boasting how Flamini was coming and Milan wouldn't get him without CL). Certainly I hope this deal is real, as Flamini is a natural successor to Rino (only a more technically gifted player).

The Dinho saga continues (pretty much everywhere, I read it on tribal). Bronzetti has again been talking, reiterating that Dinho wants Milan and also added that Nike won't make a difference in the transfer. De Assis apparently again met Barca officials to try and smooth things over for the deal to happen, after the Barca vice president seemed annoyed saying our approach to negotations (through the media) are out of date (or from "last century").

Galliani has spoken (source: Official site) of the market. He says the same as what a few others (Maldini, Pirlo and Rino's agent) have said about Rino, that he thinks he'll stay at Milan. Regarding Dinho and Zambro, he's made it clear we're after both players, and that he hopes to sign them, but not as a package, but as two seperate deals. Regarding Dinho, he's said what he said before, meaning he thinks Barca's demands are excessive and he hopes they'll be lowered.

Galliani has also said that Abbiati sent him a shirt with an affectionate message (lol, why are we getting so many affectionate messages on shirts these days?) soon after Dinho sent his to Berlu. Looks like Abbiati is almost certain to be back in Italy next season.

Finally, Galliani also said we're not after Robert Acquafresca.

I forgot to say in yesterday's news, Sheva's agent has said the only way Milan will get him is if Chelsea let him go for free (on loan), otherwise we're not interested.

Generally speaking, I have few complaints about the news. Flamini joining could be massive, as we'd have our successor to Rino. Dinho negotiations seem to be ongoing, but looks like we're putting a lot of pressure on Barca, so him and Zambro are realistic. Add to these names our new GK, World Class striker and defender or Zapata (as Berlu said) and hopefully another fullback and we're set.
