Di Gennaro is not ready yet to play for a team like Milan, Tony. He's talented but he's not Milan material yet.

...and pirlo ´s wasted penalty in the last minute 3 or 4 weeks ago, Gio??? That also would be a draw, and become a defeat. Also, Pirlo form this year is so horrendous as Dida´s flaws. But people(correctly) do not treat him as garbage like they do with Dida...

Now, this is my small relief for the Dida´s haters and IMO not worth to be a Milan fans:
Sure, his time with Milan is in the end, and I also want a new goalkeeper, but the lack of respect with Dida´s history at Milan is unbelievble. People only remember his bad moments, and imo, only prejudice and lack of maturity can explain this behaviour.

Last year in the games most important of CL(Bayern, M. United and Liverpool) he delivered, and save our title. Amazing saves like the one in Old Trafford in Giggs voley in the mark of penalty (the game would be 4x2) and against Gerrard and Xabi Alonso in the final to help Pippo to be the hero are incredible forgoteen...and in the derby against Inter in the semi´s of CL(and in all other Derbys)?? Why people don´t remember that performances?? If it wasn´t for Dida amazing games, that goal from sheva didn´t mean nothing, cuz Inter was all over our area all game long.

This year, we saw what happened in the clutch and when we needed, and our overachieving keeper accepted Farbrega´s 110000-feet loooong shot.

But no, Dida is trash and all the great things he did and help to achieve for Ac Milan organization are throw in the latrine every day in Milan forums. Most incredible is that a guy like kaladze, with his flaws(more than Dida) and crazy penaltys and red cards, get more respect than this great keeper.

Man, Although politically I to have a total different vision of Berlusconi, I have a great admiration for the form that it treats his players. Even in the Rivaldo fiasco, a player with no history in Milan, he shows great class in Rivaldo departure, and until today the player only compliment our Club.

I´m glad our Management isn´t so disrespectful and unfair with Dida. A keeper with his history can´t be treated as a leper or a bandit. It´s really sad to see the ungratefulness of some Milan fans

Yep Brasiliero...some of us r quite ungrateful with regard to Dida, and his contribution over the years...no doubt about it...but that is human nature.

Indeed, if u read my post on the matter, u will note where I gave him credit for a UCL title...

But us fans are a fickle bunch...I for one have 2 $heva shirts, which I hardly wear now, because I am still hurt over his departure....so I know from first hand experience the thinness of the line between love and hate.

I have vacilitated between both...defending Dida in arguments when he was making amazing save after save....as well as cursing him for those many blunders....and yes, as you admitted, he now needs to be replaced, and how happy am I? Estatic!!!

Look at how many people on this board want:
a) Berlu to step down (and sell the club)
b) Galliani to retire
c) Carlo to be sacked

Yet these men are responsible for the majority of the silverware the club has won, especially in the UCL.

Let's not get it twisted, the fact that fans curse a player, in my (new and improved) opinion, doesn't make them less or more of a fan, but maybe just human...

Part of being a fan is to cheers and boos their team.

Those who are not true fans will only cheer for the winning team and when the team struggles, they jump to the other winning team.

So to hear cheers and boos from us means we are true fans of Milan and their players.

As for Dida's trashing, well, it is part of being a fan and lover of Milan is all about. I mean, yes he did great in the past but you must also admit that his form this year did costed us a couple of games, right. Opinions are opinions, take it with a smile.

I think it's time for Dida to go, but I would never boo him... booing shouldn't be considered part of being a fan... no one will deny that many fans boo, but that doesn't make it right... true, there must be a way to express one's opinion, and booing is surely better than violence... but you boo the other team players, not your own...

Do you want to compare Pirlo's mistake with Dida's ? Dida's howler was the last of a serie long at least 1 year and an half. It was enough. And being mocked by Interisti in a derby is definitely different for missing a penalty against Atalanta or Reggina. Pirlo is a champion. In Dida now we have a much lower keeper than Serie A standards.

Do you know what Inter fans sang after the Derby ? "DIDA ONE OF US " . I didn't like it, and didn't like to lose a derby in that way. It was the end of Dida's career at Milan, and he made that mistake in the worst situation possible.

I don't get licenses from you about being a Milan fan. If Dida's bashers aren't Milan fans you should ban from the club all San Siro crowd then. Make a poll in San Siro; ask if they like Dida or not. Maybe they aren't Milan fans too...

Ok, let's talk about performances of 2-3 years ago. We don't need points now. We don't need a keeper now. We can spend time enjoying videos of the 2003 CL or the 2004 Scudetto.

And saying Dida saved us in the last CL shows you don't understand anything about keepers. A keeper that make you get as many goals as he saves is dodgy. He's not reliable. He makes defence shaky.
I don't rate a keeper that makes a howler and two minutes later makes a miracle save. He's dodgy and unreliable. If you rate such keeper as world class it just shows you don't understand what a quality keeper is.

Given the choice we had, i prefer a Kalac like keeper, who clearly has technical limits, but at least isn't as unpredictable as Dida.

Ok, enjoy Dida's tribute videos of the 2003. I live in the present. I've cheered Dida in the past and i already thanked him many times in San Siro, with personal songs to him. But he's not a football keeper anymore.

I'm sure that they aren't actually happy with Dida's situation in Milan, despite the formalistic statements. He has a big contract and for a keeper that stays on the bench it's too much.

a) Can't do it. That step just backwards Milan to Serie B era.
b) Sometimes he looks annoying with his shameful statements. But it's already became my habbit to see one bald man sitting at San Siro and acting like a nerd when Milan fails to score or when they score. So the second point is also impossible.
c) Give this man a proper team. Young and talented one ! Then he will brings us to glory again.

But in my opinion, yes Dida should retire or move to other club who don't have a hard competition. Some club like Flamengo or Sao Paolo will more than welcome to have him there.

Lets just all stop with this Dida thing and get back to the latest update on the transfer season.

Brasiliero has some points 100% right, but Giovanni has also. Dida WQAS A SUPERB GOALKEEPER and belongs to Milans history, but right now he doesnt deserve to pay for Milan. And from next year he will most likely not. But we simply need to show respect towards him as a man. Milan will sign new Gk, its only a question will we pay and get a good GK like Frey or return Abbiatti who is also crap goalkeeper in the end of the day...

Kalac I will not even mention as he is a giant and not a GK.

And someone wrote that people in here wnt: a) Silvio to step down b) Galliani to step down c) Calro to get fired. SWITCHING A COACH in NOt in the same category of changing the most successfull president in the histry of the club. Capello steped down, Sacchi also....so Will Carlo in the end. By mine concerns, sooner the better.

And about Pirlo's form - our coach is not using him well. And ( not by Carlo's fault ) due to lack of fullbacks Pirlo cant play as far upfront as he should have been playing. But, from Pirlos 10 crosses, 3 of them hit the place. To not be fooled that he is a master of stop crossing.

You mean a team like Dida( great Dida ), Cafu, MAldini, Nesta, Billy, Kaladze, Pirlo, young Seedorf, Serginho ( fast ), Stam. Rui Costa, RIVALDO ( who played great WC summer before with Brazil and won it ...), Shevchenko, inzaghi, Crespo, Gattuso, Ambrosini, KAka'... for one scudetto. Calciopolo or not, we lost tons of points bewcouse of too defensive startings of the match, it happened milion times.

In CL we won twice in 6 years now, and that is something we need to be very proud of. Hats down for Carlo for doing that, but in serie a it was all wrong.

Hey, he hurt his back sitting his ass on the bench! At least this time he was actually moving around when he got injured.

Adebayor has been linked again by Corriere Dello Sport, with some radio guy friend of Berlu's meeting Berlu lately after saying to Adebayor Milan would be his next club on his show. Anyway, apparently we believe 25m euros is enough.

Also we're after a youngster Adama Diakite (Ivorian descent but Italian national), who is 14. They say he's meant to be like Balotelli, with Milan, Inter and Juve fighting for him.

That's the only way I can see us functioning properly next season. I don't think it's the Spanish way though as such, I think many teams play that way in the modern game (each one with it's own style).

funny how they call Diakite the new Balotelli when Balotelli is only 17 years old and has 5 or 6 games!!!!

is there any realistic chance of Milan snatching Balotelli, given that he is free right now? the last two players that I really wanted at all costs were Robinho and Diarra. the difference with Balotelli is that he is Italian, 17, free and a Milan fan. I wish I could do something, just to let Galliani know (as if he doesnt already :P)
