Well, I think what happened to Toni was that the older he got, the bigger the clubs he played for and more people began to notice him.

With the way Wenger coaches, I really doubt Adebayor can be any good outside of Arsenal's system, just look at Anelka and Henry for example.
Flamini is another story as he just runs and tackles alot, he is the type of players that can play and be effective for any team, as he is the perfect role player.

As for Amauri, I really can't judge him too much as I have not seen him enough time. However, of the times I watched him, he really reminds me of Corradi instead of a young Toni.

i dk why alot of us over here dont rate amauri that high...few points i want to make...at first i didnt know much about the guy either..but this season i have watched quiet a few palermo matches and amauri has impressed in all of them..his performance against milan was superb the only thing he DIDNT manage to do was score and if he had another even a DECENT striker playing alongside him..he is 6ft 2 inches....27 years old and wont take up an eu spot...imo a very hard worker and has nose for goal he isnt so much like luca toni because toni is a penalty box striker..but a more like drogba who can collect the ball from deep and make runs but likely hood of him coming here depends on our managments

This is also what I think. I am not saying all Arsenal players can only play under Wenger but in my opinion other clubs should think more if they want to buy Arsenal players. Arsene's influence (his tactic) plays big role in how Arsenal players play IMO.

I do like Flamini joining Milan but still I have big doubts about him if he can play in other club like he's been doing this year with Arsenal.

I promised not reply your answering to not go off topic, but this first bold part isnīt true...The only thing I attacked was the afirmation that Dida flaw will cost us th 4th place in the end of the season. For me it isnīt fair, cuz Pirlo flaw also cust us one point. And kaladze flaws?? And Pato amazing sitter against Atalanta when the game was 0x0?? Imo itīs not fair to put the blame in one player. That was the part I wrote directly to you. There was nothing personal on that...

I started my relief(and put in bold) about the haters in the forum. That wasnīt personal against you. But after read your reply full of personal attacks towards me, Iīm glad I chose your post.

I want Dida out of Milan, imo his era is over, and thatīs technical. But I will never treat him like trash , because this isnīt technical and that wasnīt what I learned.

I do not question your Milanista heart, or if you is a fan since 6yo...Iīm brazilian and only started to folow Milan in 1987, but I learned with our greatest rivals(Argentine) to show respect for the player of my team. If he isnīt delivering, ok, in the end of the year shows the door for him...and plagiarizing your 2 offensive posts: i don't care what you think. I repeat: i don't get licences of what I think from you

At least Iīm glad that some respectable posters understood my point(even donīt agreeing), and didnīt get sensitive and offensive at me as you did.
You can attack me now(one more time), but does not wait reply, Iīm out of this useless and endless discussion.
Yes, okay.

Which is why I am not unhappy about Zambrotta coming here...he is better than so many players in that position....

Whatever happens it looks lilke nxt season we will again be without classical central midfielder like Nedved, Camoranesi ( can play in the centre ), Stankovic, Ballack, Lampard, Aquilani... for me it si simply unexplainable for a team like Milan to have 4 DM's and 3 fantasista players.

Eto'o is a bit like Henry mentally: he thinks he's the best, so he has to play, even when he doesn't do well, etc ... he just have to be put back on Earth lol. It's the first problem.

The second problem is his injuries ... 2 big injuries in 2 years ... will he be injured each season or was it only an unlucky period ?? Noone knows that. It may also be Barcelona field, which has seen many Barcelona players injuring on it ...

But for his ratio, OMG, look at what is going to follow: I did the same thing to say that Henry was a finished player now, so by knowing that Eto'o has been injured last year and this year, his ratio is pretty excellent ...

2007-2008: FC Barcelone - 15 Liga matches, 14 goals ; 7 CL matches, 1 goal (ok there, not very good)
2006-2007: FC Barcelone - 19 Liga matches, 11 goals ; 3 CL matches, 1 goal - this 2006-2007 season has to be cancelled for statistics, he scored almost all his goals at the start of the season and got a big injury
2005-2006: FC Barcelone - 34 Liga matches, 26 goals ; 11 CL matches, 6 goals
2004-2005: FC Barcelone - 37 Liga matches, 24 goals ; 7 CL matches, 4 goals

So he can miss as many goals as he wants in a match, if the guy is able to score so much by missing so much in the same time, we definately need him lol ...

2 problems (psychology + injuries) that can be improved (he may become more mature by moving in another country, another club, another culture, etc ; Milan Lab for his injuries) and 1 quality (very good goaleador).

Going back to mercato news, I read that Valencia has big financial problems and that they could have to sell David Silva, David Villa and Joaquin (or more other players) ...

So you don't know Flamini, he's more a center midfielder than a DM or whatever else people say ... anyway he is versatile, so he can play wherever on the field, but he gives his best as a CM (defends + goes forward).
He's typically the kind of midfielder who can give a good tempo to the midfield ... and so to the team.

The problem is that there is nothing official for moment !! lol

I think we should discard some of our worthless slow poke DMs such as Emerson and Brocchi...However my biggest concern is our inability to create many chances without Kaka, if he gets injured, (and that is due now) who can we call upon that is feared and respected by defenders? i say we get a next attacking midfielder who can score from outside the box, run at defenders when he has no passing options and open up space for the other players...and we can also do well with a player like Ze Roberto of Bayern.

and the next thing is this big excitement over Flamini coming to Milan...is he the best player in his role?... could we afford the best player in his role? What about Essien...is he untouchable like Kaka? if Flamini is a solution to one of our problems what are the other areas to looked at? every year Carlo ads a DM to the squad..why the lleh he dont go and back his age and take the field...

Let's not forget that he's pretty much the only real striker in that Barcelona system. From 2004-2006 he had pretty much the best Barcelona of the last couple years all playing for him. Ronaldinho, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Deco were all providing assists for him. At Milan he would not be the focal point of the attack as we would play two strikers more often than not. I am not exaggerating when I say Eto'o needs 3 100% chances before he scores one.

I'm sure you've watched many Milan matches this year and our strikers DO NOT get that many chances per game. This is why I don't think Eto'o would be a good purchase for us. His finishing is just atrocious IMO. I would even go as far to say that Gilardino's finishing is better

Gila better than Eto'o ???

I'd like to try some of what you're on please.....even if for argument's sake what you said had some remnant of truth in it......Eto can also make goals because he is mobile and has pace.....Eto'o doesn't sit on the edge of the box and wait for a pass all game long. Yes Eto'o is very wasteful but all strikers of his mould waste a lot....it's puzzling to me that you guys can't rememeber how wasteful even our legendary sheva was....what made Sheva great and what makes Eto'o great is that he will always hunt down more chances.
