Memories Of The Last 6 Years

Friends, we all seem to accept that this era of our beloved team is coming to an end. Even if Ancelotti stays in the helm, he should take control of a new period in the team, so even for him this is the end of his first period. So, it would be good to mention the best and worst moments in these 6 seasons, leaving behind the half year of the season 2001-02.

BEST MOMENTS:

Champions L./ International
1. Milan-Juventus 0-0 (3-2p)(2003): This is where it all begun.
2. Milan -Liverpool 2-1 (2007) : One word-Revenge.
3. Milan-Inter 1-1 (2003): No words.
4. Milan-Manchester 3-0 (2007) : Total domination. Reminded who's who.
5. Milan-Lyon 3-1 (2006): Un-for-get-ta-ble!

Serie A/Coppa:
1. Milan-Inter 3-2 (2004): A superb fightback! An excellent second half.
2. Roma-Milan 1-2 (2004): Probably Milan's most mature performance that year.
3. Juventus-Milan 1-3 (2004): Was there a team wearing black and white on the pitch?
4. Milan-Juventus 2-1 (2003): A hint before the Final. The best performance in the League that season.
5. Inter-Milan 0-1 (2005): Broke their undefeated record. Who else?


WORST MOMENTS:

Champions League/ International:

1. Milan-Liverpool 3-3(2005): I wish I didnt watch that game.
2. La Coruna-Milan 4-0 ( 2004): If not for that, first leg would be above the finals.
3. PSV-Milan 3-1 (2005): A pathetic performance. We got very lucky.
4. Barcelona-Milan 2-1(2005): A single shot on target gone in, totaly outplayed, justice in 89'.
5. Milan-Barcelona 0-1 (2006) : Not in San Siro! Not in San Siro!

Serie A/Coppa:

1. Milan-Juventus 0-1 (2005): A tragic one. With that, we would win the second consecutive.
2. Lazio-Milan 4-0 (2004): In Coppa, NEVER again lose 4-0 to no one!
3. Inter-Milan 3-2 (2006): Adriano. Sad.
4. Milan-Inter 3-4 (2007): Materazzi. I'll never forget.
5. All the past 2 seasons. No exception.

The best moment is Milan- Liverpool 2-1. And when we avenged the fist final against Boca.
We've been very lucky to have the opportunity to avenge our loss after a couple of years. Roma is still waiting to meet Liverpool after 25 years. A part of the Godfather I comes to mind, when Micheal Corleone says that day he would settle all past family affaires.

My best moment when we won the CL in 2003. We were not yet 'big club' at that moment. We had just had bad seasons in CL for years. In that year, we went to CL's group through elimination phase plus we had new players and scheme. We used Seedorf and Pirlo for the first time as left centre midfield and deep playmaker respectively but it's their destiny to play their best in those positions.

We were in death group in the first group phase with Deportivo, Bayern. In the second group phase we were also put in the death group with Real and Dortmund but we managed to get the top position in each group phase.

What make more 'exciting' that we won it by penalties. The most exciting moment : Sheva's penalty. He looked not so confident. He looked the referee with confused-face and boom! He scored and Milan won the CL!!!

I think, one of my best (concentrated) pray is in that moment before Sheva kicked the ball.
