I haven't really heard much about Borriello to Milan, but 6 million euros alone sounds kind of fair I guess (mostly due to his achievements this year).
The problem comes with the players we've apparently given to Genoa as part of the deal. For example, Di Gennaro and Antonini aren't players to give for Borriello. However, I suspect if they are part of the deal, it would be on loan rather than permanent, in which case I wouldn't be at all upset as they need to be loaned. I also doubt Borri is our big star forward (I suspect Dinho or someone else is the star forward we're waiting for). On other news, Real Zaragoza have confirmed Oliveira has signed permanently for them. Fee is 10m euros. |

It's the worst move for us from Oliveira ... other clubs were ready to pay more, but Zaragoza had the right to pay that amount of money to take him.
What a lack of ambition for Oliveira btw !! He could have played in many clubs in Liga, especially Villareal (Champion's League next year), but he accepted Zaragoza and BBVA Liga, that's amazing. |

dont be suprised ppl, our board are famous for being stupid in transfer market.. some of their typical stupidities are:
- sale young, talented players cheap to later buy them expensive - buy promising and talented players and then can not train them and then sell them cheap for other teams to have them shoot at our goal - buy old, nearly dead, injured, arrogant, disturbing players to replace younger players - dont know how to negotiate price with other stupid and small teams for player (guess we want to prove we are even more stupid) - be loyal to old players (i.e. 35 yr) to offer him the right to play until he wants to (in business view this is not called stupid this should be retarded.. oh forgot we dont know business) - last but not least.. keep ance for the xmas tree with 3 DM |

abate scored for the u-21s. He seems to be promising.
The way i see things, its going to be difficult to get a big name forward for next year. I dont want Drogba, his attitude stinks.. His sending off and John Terrys banana split caused chelsea to lose champ league. If we are going to lose Ronaldo aswell as gila then we deffi has to get someone semi decent in. Sheva? eto? short term solutions really, but ideally i think we should be looking to get benzema now for next year. That would suit both parties as we can get a top 4 spot, and he can play for us in the champ league next year... But that still leaves the question who do we get now..

Or maybe Zaragoza used the right to buy him out for 10m and now they'll sell him for more to some other team ?
I doubt it'll happen but it's possible.

if zaragoza bought him for the next season, he will have to stay until the next season to move again if zaragoza bought him as part of this season (which i doubt not b/c the season was over in spain), then he can move again next season. so, the difference here is the date on which the spain fa consider to be the new season or old one. |

Even if you are comfortable in a club, when you have his level (he's not a W-C goalscorer, but he's not bad at all, it's a good goalscorer), it's some kind of waste to play in second division. |

There are countless examples when a player was bought by one team and then sold/loaned immediately to another team. Cristiano Lucarelli is one example that comes to mind. Livorno sold him in the summer to Shakhtar Donieck and in the winter Shakhtar sold him to Parma. I know that Juve did similar thing with Almiron and Criscito this year. They bought them in the summer and loaned them in the winter. It happens with youngsters all the time actually. Buy them in June, loan them to another team in August. Like i said, it's not very probable that it will be done with Oliveira but legally i don't think there would be a problem.

I wonder why alot of MM users start calling our management dumb and stupid and alot of harsh words. i believe a man who led to all these trophies is able to lead to another era, some of you guys call our management cheap and thats wrong. stop judging galliani and berlu for things you dont know and things you will never know, we all know how the media in italy make things up and how they make illusional transfers just to sell, for 3 years galliani comes up and say that we are not investing in the market all we need is 1 player. so why blaming him if he was so honest in the first place. a week ago galliani said that we will be concentrating on borriello if there was no deal we will be looking for alternatives. he did not say drogba, etoo, gomez, huntelaar and berbatov, he did not make a vote pools which player to get he was so straight to the point. if borriello deal was confirmed than we expect another 4 or 5 players including a keeper, sheva is one of them so ronaldinho and zambrotta, lloris looks distant by now so i say gomez, and fernando looks one of our players for the next season, thats leave us with one more target i guess it will be a central defender. and when maldini retires. they will be looking for a world class center defender because i think galliani and berlu consider our current paulo a TOP DC ! knowing milan for long and knowing how they deal with things i believe this is the most realistic targets we are heading for....
and for the people who calls our management cheap .... ask your self how much berlu paid for buying milan and how much had he paid for guillet? and the disaster of lentini, JPP, Baggio .... we spent a fortune on wrong targets, they paid alot and looks they didnot learn and they will never do can we do anything about it ? peace out

As far as this management being cheap goes, all you have to do is compare our spending with the rest of the top club in Europe and you will see that our spending would put a Serie B owner in shame. I mean, our team needs about 5 or 6 new players every year, and yet we sign one player a summer and call it a day. Every time when there is a superstar player on the market, we back off before the bidding even starts because of his price tag. If that doesn't sound cheap to you, I don't know what would. Granted, I may not know everything there is to know about what's going on inside the club, but it's not like you have all the insider information to begin with. As far as Berlusconi's track record goes, just look at that list and see how many of those big money signings actually came from this century nevertheless the last 3 to 5 years. And stop blaming the media for all the news. If I am remembering this right, Berlusconi and Galliani puts out smoke screens every single summer to fool the fans into believing they are actually going to make moves. They never said one signing was going to be it for the summer. They kept hinting there would be superstars arriving and yet sign Emerson and Favalli as soon as the tickets are sold. And let's say if they did tell the fans straight up what they are going to do, that still doesn't make what they do the right thing to do. If Berlusconi and Galliani think Borriello is the answer to our attacking problems, then they must be very very high. We the fans want to see them make the right moves, not the wrong ones even if they were honest about them. We are AC Milan, one of the biggest and richest clubs in the world, not some second rated Serie B team, so we shouldn't be satisfied with lackluster mercatos every single summer. |

I also find it a bit disappointing Lebanese...but it goes to prove the saying: "you can't please everybody"...
The only way Mgmt would be able to make evryone happy would be to: a) buy Drogba, Gomez, Benzema and Berbatov b) buy Mexes, Alex, Zapata, and Ramos c) buy Alves, Zambrotta and Vargas. d) win the Serie A and UCL every season, and the Coppa Italia every other year. e) win the European. Super Cup and World Club Cup every season without fail. f) develop the best italian talent in our Primavera team g) buy R10, Diego, Robinho, Nasri and Quaresma. Please feel free to add anything I might have missed... ![]()

People have a selective memory ... we weren't brilliant 10 years ago, we were brilliant for the last 6 years !! The first year when we played a bit less well was last year (but we won CL by playing not very well, do you know any other club able to do that on Earth ?), and this year was "horrible" (if you look at our results 10 years ago, you will see some results worst than that). Then, for the transfer list, you can say that a posteriori, but when we bought all these players, not all sorry lol, let's go for Gilardino, Gourcuff, even Oliveira, and for some people (not including me for the following one), Emerson, these players seem promising and very good targets ... noone said anything about these guys, but today, now they have failed, it seems like everyone here was knowing that would be a failure for these players !! That's amazing ... |
