Regarding Paloschi;Paloschi is maturing quickly and progressing quickly, thats important for young players.Di Gennaro is a great talent, he was better talent than Paloschi at Primavera level but he stopped his progress and didnt mature enough.Just look at Paloschi,he has everything that a coach could asks for.

He has grit and determination,he takes responsibility,he has great self confidence, these factors are very important.he uses his body well, quick, mobile, skilled and strong e.t.c.

Reggina is great chance for him so that he needs to play with regularity.

Regarding Management,im not happy with them cuz,

our movement on the mercato depents on the success,if we had won the CL this year as well, they would ignore the upgrade the weakness of the squad.

I am not sure if Di Gennaro was better talent than Paloschi at Primavera level as Paloschi played last season (06/07) for Allievi and than moved this year to Primavera. He should actually play in Berretti this season (07/08) according to his age (1990 year of birth).

As he played in Coppa, he showed his ability with great performance (which I think Di Gennaro couldnt do it CMIIW) for a striker who just came from Allievi's squad.

I am talking talent here as general, not only skill with or dribbling the ball.

People have a selective memory ... we weren't brilliant 10 years ago, we were brilliant for the last 6 years !! The first year when we played a bit less well was last year (but we won CL by playing not very well, do you know any other club able to do that on Earth ?), and this year was "horrible" (if you look at our results 10 years ago, you will see some results worst than that).

Then, for the transfer list, you can say that a posteriori, but when we bought all these players, not all sorry lol, let's go for Gilardino, Gourcuff, even Oliveira, and for some people (not including me for the following one), Emerson, these players seem promising and very good targets ... noone said anything about these guys, but today, now they have failed, it seems like everyone here was knowing that would be a failure for these players !! That's amazing ...
You have to understand the fact that records dont tell all the stories here. Sure, 10 years ago, we didn't have a very good record, but the key difference there was that the management was actively trying to build a good team. I am not saying I do not like our record for the past half decade or so, but not a whole lot of those records came from the brilliant moves made by the management during that course of time. What I am upset about is not the records itself but much rather our management's performance in that they make one mistake after another while refusing to invest in any major players that the team need. The team didn't perform badly, but it is quite a different tale when it comes to the management's decisions.

As far as the transfer list goes, some posters did like those signings. Hell, I will admit I wasn't against all of them myself. But that's the key difference between the management and the fans. The management is supposed to know better than us. They are supposed to know whether a player will fit in or not, or at least make a somewhat educated guess. Looking at that transfer list, I honestly doubt the capabilities of our scouts as they don't seem to know what they are doing. When you have such a high failure rate, something is wrong here. I for one didn't know who was going to succeed or fail (although I did make a pretty good guess on Oliveira), and it seems to me that the management isn't doing that much better than me, which is definitely not good enough.

Look, I understand that not everything should be blamed on the management because they are human afterall. The problem is that you seem to let them off the hook on everything. Whenever something goes wrong, it is not their fault no matter how involved they were in it. The management is responsible for the decline in quality of this team and their performance on the market. And to say it is not their fault is just wrong.

I thought that Di Gennaro plays as AM or midfield not as a striker? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think I understand your angst Slifersd....and yes, management is to be blamed largely for the team's success or failure...but let's not overreact...

The mercato has barely begun, several teams are in the process of dismantling themselves...Valencia, Barca, and possibly Chelski...its a bit impractical to say they haven't done anything, or won't do anything, when for the first time in recent memory, they have actually stated the amount of players being targetted in addition to the qualitiy/level player being sought...and an important signing, and one of the potential signings of the summer...Flamini, was made b4 the mercato even opened!!!

It would b imprudent at best, and stupid @ worst to make our purchases now, without awaiting the fall-out in the other big-teams, as well as the outcome of negotiations we have already commenced.

Pointless to stress at this point, IMO.

Geo tav fernando is he any good? Let us drop the management argument and concentrate on this thread its self, its not right to argue with fans (whom i respect) who want our club to have 1.5 billion in debt just to satisfy their own dreams and to have a dominating team on playstation, as for reality they have no respect for some players who donot think of them as humen only football players, i just hope of those glory hunters to evaluate their support maybe they'll find a teams who will satisfy their weekends, for me i'd take milan(ba, brocchi, simic, diago, DIDA,emeson) anyday for a million star team whose investing each year. I really want to see what crudelli might say about it, FORZA MILAN, FORZA BERLU, FORZA GALLIANI

Yes, what I know he is an attacking midfielder who plays behind strikers but in Bologna he plays in other position if I am not mistaken.

I know they are rumours about Boriello and nothing concrete yet, but I really am very disappointed in the management. Alot of promise on bringing big name strikers and they bring in Boriello? Who had a great season with 19 goals (5 penalties, 2 hat-tricks)? It does not take a genius to see that Boriello was just having a good season and he was overachieving. When you see Boriello play for Italy you could see he wasnt all that, when he played for Milan he definitely wasn't all that.

Milan is a team that negotiates for every penny (remember Gila, Ronaldo, and now Ronaldinho and Zambrotta)..if it is true that we have bought 50% of Boriello's contract back for 6 million AND gave them Antonini AND gave them 50% of DiGennaro then this would be prolly the worst deal I've seen Galliani do. First off Boriello is no way Milan material, second off he is NOO WAY worth that much. And I forgot to mention, it is rumoured that he was given a 3m per season contract for 5 years (and other rumours of him getting a starting spot).. I mean what the hell is going on?

I still can't believe we did such a deal, no way Galliani will accept to these shameful numbers and conditions by a player really not even worth half of Gilardino. I'll only believe it when I see it..

Cristiano Lucarelli is one example that comes to mind. Livorno sold him in the summer to Shakhtar Donieck and in the winter Shakhtar sold him to Parma.

I know that Juve did similar thing with Almiron and Criscito this year. They bought them in the summer and loaned them in the winter.
It happens with youngsters all the time actually. Buy them in June, loan them to another team in August.

Like i said, it's not very probable that it will be done with Oliveira but legally i don't think there would be a problem.
Sorry, I should have used the word "cannot be sold 2 in 1 season". Yes they can be loaned. But I don't think they can be sold again in 1 season.

i guess he leaves for good things to both side. actually i am still hoping that he can back to his best performance in the future. but apparently he couldn't worked out with Milan's system. so i wish him luck and hope the best for him

i dont know if this news is already posted before but here it is.

Pool close on Dossena
Udinese defender Andrea Dossena is set to join Liverpool, according to Italian sources. Reports suggest that the Serie A club’s sporting director Pietro Leonardi held successful talks with Reds Coach Rafa Benitez earlier this week. Benitez sees the £9m-rated left back as an ideal replacement for John Arne Riise, whose future is in doubt. However, the Merseyside giants will need to fight off Juventus and Tottenham who also have eyes for the 26-year-old stopper.

ch.4

again.. we just being linked and couldnt get the player

Good for Milan and Fiorentina that Gilardino is off. Gila doesn't fit with the system, and he is in no way close to Inzaghi's instinct goalscoring. He needs to have support and needs the confidence from people, something that he really never gets from anyone in Milan.

Good luck Gila, make sure you don't score against Milan .

If Oliveira and Gila have moved on, then good riddance. We cannot proceed to bring in 7-8 new players if we dont get rid of the old underperforming ones, so good.

I dont know why some of you are complaining about Boriello. The whole point of loaning him out was to see how he'd fare---if he did badly or average, then we sell him at a cut price to a small club, if he did fairly well, he may earn a move to a mid-table team, if he does very well, then he may earn himself a place back with us. I think he's had an awesome season--an Italian playing in serie a for many years, and has now earned his place in the Italian NT. Who's to say that the other names you have mentioned: Drogba, Adebayor, etc would succeed and Boriello flop? I think he's earned his way back to Milan basaed on his performances.

If we get Boriello, then our targetmen will be Pippo, Boriello, plus or minus Pato, and our supporting playmakers would be Kaka, Dinho plus or minus Pato/Seedorf. That looks pretty good to me. Imagine a Brazilian trident of Kaka, Dinho, Pato with Boriello and Pippo on the bench...

Still alot of players who need moving from Milan - Favalli, Dida, Emerson, Simic, Kalac, Fiori, Brocchi. Gourcuff needs to go as Carlo has no faith at all. IMO we'll fail even signing Zambrotta, R10 because our wb aren't good enough, and we don't have a box to box midfielder. IMO Nesta, Kaladze, & Bonera are decent enough. Would love to have Zapata, but kpr, wb, striker, followed by box mid should be our priority. Lloris/Frey/Amelia, Alaves/Rafinha/De Silvestri/???, Eto'o/Drogba/Benezma, box mid - Deco/Afellay/Lampard.

no comment on the young players part as we are so famous at that lol
edit: oh.. the oliveira part confirms that we dont know what we r doing..
yes, 6m is for half, but let's not forget that in this past year his price has sky rocketed due to his impressive season. It's similar to someone like Amauri, who after this season has probably doubled his value of a year ago.

As for the two players, from what I've heard, Antonini is included whilst Di Gennaro will go on loan. I would be a little disappointed if that's true, as I don't think Antonini plus 6m is worth it, but it's hardly the end of the world.

As for Oliveira, Zaragoza exercised their right, as was stated by the contract. The management offered a year ago for them to make a full purchase for 10m euros, and they did that. The management cannot say no as they had already agreed to it (and put it in writing) a long time ago.

He's an AM for sure. He's a playmaker to be most correct.

I read this morning on goal.com that the Dossena deal might be in trouble as Italian clubs (namely Juve and Fio) have shown great interest and he'd prefer to stay in Italy. I'm guessing he's on Milan's list of potential players, along with Vargas.
