Morinho to Inter is really bad news. I get the sense that Milan has bad timing and is one year off. Last year Buffon was rumored to be available but instead we chose to stick with Dida. Imagine if Buffon was available now! Now a coach of Jose's caliber is available but we are sticking with Ancelotti. If Milan have a bad season next year (ie never in contention for il scudetto), it's very likely that Ancelotti will be fired and we'll all curse the bad timing knowing that Jose was available. The availablity of superstars are not coinciding with the needs that management sees for our team. I hope we don't regret letting Jose go to Inter...

Recently we have been linked to Etoo and Evra. Could we not have tried to sign them from Majorca or Monaco.

I agree, Inter can have him. Drogba's ego and petulance would suit Inter perfectly. It would be like playing Materazzi as a striker!

I know some people rate Drogba highly but imho he isn't such a great striker.
He had one really good season in the EPL and thats all.

This season he made 19 (2 as sub) appearances and only scored 8 goals in the league.
He also collected 6x yellow cards and 1x red card in those 19 leagues games.

In the same team, under-performing, "lost all his talent" Sheva made 17 appearances ( 9 as a sub) and scored 5 goals. He also received 0 cards.

If Drogba arrives at Milan, perhaps he will prove me wrong? Then I would eat humble pie

Drogba and Toni are probably the best two strikers in the world(target man wise).
Klose, Gomez, Amauri, RVN, Eto and others are only second to them.
To have Drogba playing for Milan is like having Weah all over again. And I am sure the thing that Pippo and Kaka has will be even better with Drogba around.

Gabriel489...I disagree..Drogba cannot walk in Weah´s shoes...he doesnt have the touch, nor the ability to make a good pass...he may be as strong, but thats about it.

Comparing Drogba to Weah, is like comparing a Big Mac with a Ruth Cris steak.

What I meant having Weah all over again, I was not comparing Drogba to Weah, while as I was stating we will be having a clear No.1(BEST) striker in the world.
As good as Sheva was, he was never a clearcut No.1 (BEST) striker in the world.

Be carefull waht you wish for: Drogba - Ibra ?? that cant fail under Mourinho.

mourinha is up to be signed and we are sticking with a man that cant chance formation once in 6 years. Im really sad about the fact that coaches are choosen by Milan only to be puppets for Berlusconi. Aldough we have success in Europe, that factor makes me sad and gives me an un-sporting feeling.

A comment from calciomercato by italioan fan about Milan and regarding Evra: translate it if you want...

Vergogna!!!!!

Are you sure it's not you who wrote this ?
It sounds so Mrkish.

And as Warro mentioned above, the reports are about Milan trying to get Evra on free transfer, but not this year. The talks are about next summer when his contract with ManU will expire.
Nothing will come out of it, imo. Manchester will offer him new rich contract if they want to keep him, and i believe they'll want to keep him, just like i believe that he'll want to stay.
If they don't want him they'll sell him this summer in order to get some money from him, but i didn't hear anything about ManU wanting to get rid of Evra (and why would they ? )

And again and again and again ... mrki comments on Ancelotti, even when there's no match ... tell me, actually, wouldn't you be his biggest fan ?! lol

The comment you took from Calciomercato is nothing, just another one from a fan, like all of us here (except the guy put it on calciomercato, so let it on calciomercato ? Because if we do that, in 10 minutes, i put here 15 messages with same kind of thinking than me from other websites, which has no sense at all ...), and of course, you put it here because it's similar to what you say ... and this message is even more nothing after reading "with the squad he has had, he has won nothing for 7 years", did this guy support Milan for the last 7 years ??

First of all, I don't think JM is the best coach in the world. Just look at his record, beside the Porto fluke in CL that year, what had he won. A couple of EPL but with a team like Chelsea, it is had not to win. What JM is good at is protecting his players and always defend them.
Is Carlo a better coach, I would say yes, but he is not the best.
I still believe the best coach is either Capello or RB.

I really beg to differ, Sheva had it all. I can't name a single weak point. The last years he was with us I think he was simply the best. Who was the best according to you?

I can't aggree about people who keep saying that Carlo is Berlusconi's dog or Carlo is a puppet. Come on man, it's a relationship between employee and employer just like you normally work. Give little respect to Carlo. If not, you also say that all employee are puppets and dogs of his employer as they can't do whatever they want to do.

Milan are not that evil to Carlo. I agree Milan were so bad in players transfer in these 2 years but they also didnt expect high from Carlo : it's balanced and fair relationship! Plus Milan did some transfers even few of them were good.

Please respect how Carlo is. He is not Maurinho who keeps moaning. Many coaches are similar to Carlo especially in Italy as they play role only as coach not as manager. Just look at Prandelli. He accepts what Fio board do with the markets. He didnt moan to Fio board or threaten them to quit from his Job if there would be no substitute for Toni when Toni left Fio. He just accepted that he had to use Pazzini who is unexprienced and far away from Toni's calibre.

I think that Toni is a better striker than Drogba...its just that Drogba could be in a better position to be aquired than Toni is at present....so he isnt IMO, the clear #1 striker in the world....he is in the top 5, but certainly not #1.

Other strikers I rate as highly, or higher:

Etoo
Gomez
RVN
Ibra
Adebayor (maybe in a year or so)
Adriano (before his problems)
Torres

And this list without even trying too hard. I dont dispute that he is a good player, just not convinced that we should target him, to the exclusion of others.

Ronaldo was better (marginally) but you're right Sheva was the most flawless striker in the world he had it all speed, strenght, two feet, passing, shooting power/placement, dribbling etc. Ronaldo was less complete in the air and was far less consistent but was far more dangerous and had the "X" factor that sheva NEVER had. Maradonna was aslo another incomplete forward in terms of his attack arsenal (he was small and basically one footed) but he was still better than MVB.
