Official: Hugo Lloris to Lyons after rejecting Milan

Translation of what said Lloris to local press today:

"I don't want to leave without thinking what is best for me and my career, I have many offers, from Tottenham, Lyon, Milan, and they are offers I can't refuse. I'll give my decision this Thursday, the one I think is the best for me."

We just have to wait, but I really hope he will be our next GK ...

From that news it all boils down to what Lloris decides. We all know he should make the obvious and correct choice in choosing Milan over two clubs (Lyon and Spurs) who both have ceilings to the amount of success they can enjoy.

If he decides that he wants a particular club then the offers made by the other two wont matter and the deal should go through. If it is Milan he wants then he will either accept, try and get a bit more which is reasonable or try to be greedy in which case Milan will walk away. Lets hope he shows some intelligence, if not who cares. Most of us dont even know much about him anyway, theres plenty of goalies in the sea

Like I said, the only problem with him is people around him who have probably said him not to come to Milan everyday ... if he doesn't listen to them, he'll come here. If he does, he'll be afraid because he'll think about Gourcuff's case and will prefer to go in Lyon where there is no more GK at the moment.

I meant they don't have GK anymore officially lol, Coupet goes to Newcastle or Tottenham, can't remember, and Vercoutre has not a decent level to play.

We have officially still Dida, Kalac, Abbiati, Storari who could be there next year ...

I know bro, I made a joke but I won't laugh when we start the season with Dida, Kalac and Storari as our first keeper. Dida should be sold coz of his huge paycheck (released might be the better word), Abbiati will be sold coz I don't think he want to play with us and who could blame him. And Kalac or Stoari could stay as a back up.
Anybody figured out yet why on earth we bought Stoari for? Or should we just add him with the emerson file? Maybe we could ask agents scully and mulder to sort that out
Hence we still lack a real number one. I thought Kalac would do worse than he did but let's face it he isn't Milan material a great back up maybe even a good viscous looking bodyguard but nothing more.

If I remember, for Storari, it was because Dida was injuried ... but Storari played only one match and Dida was restablished, so Storari has never played again lol ...

If I were in this guy's shoes, I'd stay home and sign with a local club than traverse to a whole new country at such a young age. Look at Muslera with Lazio.

Storari played three matches with us, conceding seven goals. I liked him but I think he's better off at Cagliari.

If we are unable to sign Lloris or any other GK for financial reasons, we must bring Abiatti back. Abiatti and Kalac combo can work well at least for a year. However our priority for solving our GK problems must begin with getting rid of Dida. His wages hurt us alot. Also, we have given him enough time to come back to form. I agree that he had injuries but it does not mean we as a club should be altruistic and hang on to him until he recovers (which I don't think can happen).

Why not buy Amelia... he's leaving Livorno... if Milan doesnt manage (or atleast dont bid) to sign Amelia then they are official stupid.

As long as not so expensive, it's ok but I've read Palermo change their target from Amelia to Abbiati because he is too expensive (I hope not too expensive for Milan ).

Sell Abbiati and add his transfer fee to buy a GOOD GK whoever he is.

It's a bit funny to read Galliani comments that we will have Abbiati, Kalac and Dida if Abbiati stays with Milan. It seems we have grey plan.

Why dont we have plan like : "We will buy new GK. If none are available, we will use Abbiati, Kalac and Dida." It's similar expression with Galliani's one but with different meaning and emphasizing.

We are the club not Abbiati, we are the one who decide our squad and not just depend on player's wish.

I know compilations tend to be quite deceptive about a player, as they only show a part of the story, but there are some solid saves in it... Enjoy
