Sure he would. I'd also like Messi in case Kaka has the flu, and Ferdinand to give Nesta a rest once in a while.

Its great to throw around all these names, but once a player reaches a certain point, he expects to be playing every week. We already have 8 or 9 players like that. Hell, even Borriello is demanding a starting spot!

Sorry for the sarcasm, i'm all out of positive wit.

Edit: All i'm trying to say to you people is that you can't buy a world class player unless your team has a vacancy in that department. You can't wish for Zapata (whom I consider to be better than Kala) unless your team has the space to accommodate him. We currently don't. We have space for a GK, LB/RB (Zambro), a world class striker, and a bench striker (Borriello)

Barzagli? Who is this guy? Since years no big club signs him, only gossips, gossips about him linking to big clubs appears. He is so overrated. If he is that good, he wont land in Wolfsburg but in München. I prefer much more Kaladze than Barzagli. Even I prefer Bonera who can play well as DC AND also can play in fullback and getting better playing as right fullback.

Bye bye Barzagli, hope no to see you in Milan (which I doubt as our management will try to sign him when he is 35 yo and free ).

Unless Milan sells a CB, we won't sign one. Simple as that. So stop thinking about Barzagli. Milan is not sinking because we missed Barzagli. I know he's great in FM2008, (probably the best CB, great price too) and that's why his reputation is so high with some people. Don't let that cloud your judgment. He's not good enough to start for Milan.

My words comed true,my prediction comed true so you can't say my judgment is wrong .
As for Janku after his first year with Milan i didn't ever believe that he can play good football for us.

I obviously knew you didn't become an interfan or something that would be funny to wake up and think lets cheer for inter now...
yet I do think some people should be more patient and optimistic that's all..

Mr.Bald dude is waining about money. If players are expensive the sperstar players then he should focus on the young talents. Montolivo, Pazzini, Rossi,
Nasri, non of these players are more then 15-20 mil.

Galliani brace your self because the special one is in charge of Inter, Moratti will buy whatever Mourinho wants, I really cant see us wining the scudetto.

If I hear that phrase ONE more time I'll scream Ignoring the fact that you have been rude to everyone differing from your opinion, how do you know that Barzagli won't be good enough? Do you know that he has been on many posters' "dream signings" list Isn't he at least better than Kaladze, Bonera, Simic, Digao Tell me oh GREAT BRK "WHO IS GOOD ENOUGH TO START FOR MILAN"

We had the same first 11 this year as we had last year. The problem is that the squad lacks depth. Our run in the Champions League last year was a perfect storm; Our key players hit form at exactly the right time (Kaka/Seedorf/Dida/Gattuso/Pirlo specifically) around the Bayern game, and sustained it towards the end of the season, culminating in the 3-0 win over Man U. Had we suffered from the same bad luck last season as we did in this one, we would have crashed out against Celtic or Bayern, and struggled to make 4th. Our good luck with form and injuries last year hid the lack of depth outside the first 11, and our bad luck this year exaggerated it.

We do have a problem with depth, but our first 11 was fine. Of course, now that Dida and Ronaldo are out, we need a new goalkeeper and striker to replace them. Cafu and Serginho will be replaced by Zambrotta and another full back. That would mean that our first 11 next year is:

4321: ???, Zambrotta, Kaladze, Nesta, Jankulovski, Ambrosini, Pirlo, Gattuso, Kaka, Seedorf, Pato

4312: ???, Zambrotta, Kaladze, Nesta, Jankulovski, Ambrosini, Pirlo, Gattuso, Kaka, ???, Pato

No one can argue that this first 11 on its day is not a first tier team. The ??? will be replaced with quality young(ish) players, I have no doubt about that. Lloris would be a wonderful signing, Etoo would be a perfect fit for our game. The triangle of Kaka, Pato and Etoo would be a bolt of lightning thundering above an impregnable Milanese defence.

Now we have two problems. 1) A lack of depth, and 2) a viable alternative to our Pirlo-centric formations (the 4321 and 4312).

Ancelotti has proven that this tactic is brilliantly balanced against top sides that alternate tempo and attempt to play football, but as we all know, its useless against small teams that lock up. The reason is that the advantages Pirlo gives you with distribution and vision aren't really what's required against those teams, since they defend so deep and he's so far away that his long balls won't work without the space to run after them.

The only way to break down these teams is with physical force, and wing play that spreads their defence wide and opens up space. For that to work, you need quality wingers and a strong target man. Milan has none of these. Not even one quality attacking winger (Serginho is gone). Its pathetic. We don't need the best wingers in the business. We don't need Messi. We don't need to build our team around world class wingers. All we need are two wingers willing to sit on the bench for the big games, but players who can provide Ancelotti with the versatility and options he so sorely lacks. Having Bonera push forward to try to cross the ball to Ambrosini is just sad.

The lack of depth problem is easier to solve, and they're on their way to doing so with the Flamini signing, which I believe is a brilliant signing. A couple more like that and the depth problem is solved. The squad needs to rotate, and Flamini can take over from Pirlo, Ambrosini or Gattuso. 4 more versatile players are all we need. Again, not world class players, just good ones.

Sorry I went so long, but i'm just trying to point out that all this talk about buying world class players is not what this team needs. The balance in the first team is there, the talent is there and the harmony is unparalleled. What we need is depth and versatility. Not a revolution. I trust that Ancelotti and Galliani know what the team needs better than all of us. Being great means you respond well to failure, not that you never fail. Give them the benefit of the doubt and be patient.

Great Post!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best post I've read here in months and a great change of pace from all the annoying and CHILDISH arguing going back and forth the last couple of days...

In that list, only Kaladze and Bonera are first team players. Kaladze's form has been on and off. He had suffered from some injuries too. Bonera hasn't got enough chances to play as a CB but whenever he did, he played very well and "up to the standards" of a top class Serie A team. Both of these players are on par with Barzagli. On top of that we have Nesta. This trio of first team CBs would work for us for at least 3 more years.

Simic is a back up and Digao is in Milan because of Kaka. In short, they are second team players. So you can't compare Barzagli to these 2 guys.

Considering the overhaul required in the Striker and Wing-back positions, our needs for the CB position can be put on hold for a year at least.

Hence, I beleive that we shouldn't dig deep to sign a CB, in fact, not dig at all!

brk, I have to disagree. Ferdinand isn't that great to be honest. He makes too many silly mistakes and loses concentration to often.
Vidic makes him look good, take Vidic out of the defence and ManU wouldn't have won the league and ucl final.

Now Vidic would be a far better addition. Come to think of it, the best defenders in the EPL are all foreign.

I am pleased to see we didn't sign Barzagli, like I said in another thread. I don't see how two defenders from one of the worst defenses in Serie A could improve us in any way.

You mean the best PLAYERS in the EPL are all foreign. (Defenders, Midfielders, Forwards, it doesn't matter the position).

Good for you roso 11...now, anymore of our players you know will be failures?

Let me know, so I can inform Carlo and Galliani immediately!

(By the way, when our targets have been officially confirmed, then you can let us know if they will be failures before we buy them...would save us a lot of money!)

Thanks.
