Rumor I heard was that Dida refused to go elsewhere (and accept a lower paycheck) unless Milan made up the paycheck difference.

So, basically, he's going to collect a fat paycheck and (hopefully) laze out and ride the pine. (and probably get injured from that again)

I never liked Dida, and it's gotten worse over time. We need to sign a new keeper and send Dida down to the reserves. Man I can't stand this guy.

I think that rumor is baseless.

You're probably right. I wish we could move Dida on, so we could sign a new keeper. I am bummed we lost out on Lloris.

Also, since Abbiati wants to stay (or at least not go to Palermo), I guess he is OK being a backup? I can't see Milan mgmt starting him given the history even though he's done well in the past. How long would he accept the bench role?
I do believe Galliani when he said he wouldn't buy a new keeper unless one was sold and I don't like the Dida-Abbiati-Kalac selection.

What about Amelia? I thought he was highly rated.

Ya Amelia would be great, but I think one of the things holding MIlan back is to disrupt the atmosphere within the dressing room.

Dida's situation is tricky; he is a brailian, which I presume that he has connectino with the brazilian gangs, which Milan doesn't want to fool around with, never. I think that maybe the problem. Kalac, Abbiati are easy to deal with. If they don't like what's going on, they can go.

But with Dida, things are a bit different.

Perhaps, just perhaps, Dida can re-catch his old forms?

I quite wonder why this thread is still going on and on while the person (Lloris) has already signed with other club...

Fully agree... and besides that, technically speaking Dida is only getting worse year after year.

True. He's becoming more known for that than his GKing abilities. Aldo Spinelli basically hates his guts after they engaged in a pretty public spat last season.

I have no idea what the hell you're talking about there.

I also remeber things about Ochoa....I think it would be terrible to go through this summer without a new keeper.

I saw him play for mexico against USA not to long ago...he seemed ok, plus he's young.

Ochoa has had a great season, you can watch him tomorrow in the Copa Libertadores semifinal with America against LDUQ (Quito)... he's like 22 years old, starter in Mexico NT already, has played 2 or 3 Libertadores Cup by now... tall and slim...

as I mentioned, only problem could be that he doesn't have a EU passport, but in my eyes, he would be a very good investment.

i think Jeff was mentioned that Dida is one of Brazilian players in Milan when he said Brazilian gang (wasnt refered to some mafia or something like that) because so many Brazilian players in Milan. and he thinks that if Milan just deal with Dida (adios) that might be influence others Brazilian players in Milan which is we all know that Kaka is one of them and we all also know that how much Kaka means to Milan not to mention Leonardo as a talent scout for Milan and now is Cafu, Serginho. that's why the decision about Dida's future is a bit tricky then others GKs

So we would suggest all of them to grow a pair. End of story.
