Actually, the player that I dont want in Milan is Brocchi but I prefer Brocchi than Sammarco. Brocchi is much older but has much more experience. Sammaro is still a 'none' player, people only discuss him year but if he is pretty good, other club will chase him or at least Milan wont accept 2 mil (which means his price is only 4 mil).

Not bashing you or anything but most people here thought that we'd catch 4th? They've proved to be a solid team that is only going from strength to strength.

And I admire the fact that with the limited resources and CL monies that they will be getting, they're trying. They're doing the best they can in their situation to field the best team possible.

And they're not wasting anytime, name droping or spending 8 weeks haggling with other teams before making BIG moves.

Although different, they're deep run in the UEFA Cup provided them with some useful experience and will help them. If they are able to jell and Gila returns to his old form, with Mutu, Pazzini, Vargas Frey between the sticks and some of the other additions that they want to add...they'll be fine.

Flamini,Zambrotta and Boriello is good start for our mercato campaign, I really hope Mr. baldy now can fully concetrate on purchasing 2 world class player on defense and forward position. And I hope also we can sign one more for Kaka back-up,

This is our mercato looks like in Euro ( pls correct me if im wrong )
In : Flamini ==> free
Zambrotta ==> 8.5 mil
Boriello ==> 7 mill ( altough still not official yet )
Sum = 15.5 mill

Out : Gila ==> 14 mil
Oliveira ==> 10 mil
Sammarco ==> 2.5 mil
Grimi ==> ???
Sum = 26.5 mil

Until now on we have 11 mil which in my opinion quite enough to buy players like Zapata, Cigarini or perhaps add 4-5 mil again for Giuseppe Rossi or Gomez

Getting a team to gel with loads of new additions isn't the easiest thing to achieve.

If they do gel, they will be a force to recon with....no argument there.

In any other season, I would have say yes to Viola making it to group stage. But not this year, as some of their players will be in Beijing and some will be playing in Euro. Thus making it very hard for them to train consistently with enough rest. I really think they will not pass the qualifying rounds.

can't understand why we're not entertaining the idea of buying Vargas, we should just wade in there slap £7-8 million on the table and walk out with the best left-back in Serie A.

Anyukov should also be looked at for right-back.

The thing is that I really think either Vargas's agent said Vargas will only sign for Viola or the fact that teams like ManU, Pool, Inter, Juve and us are working in the low to sign him, b/c it is just strange that no other big team is being link with Vargas!!!!

To JIM UK - That's what frustrates me to NO end about management. I admitt I'm suffering from a MASSIVE lack of confidence and trust in management, and letting a player like Vargas who can help just go to another team on the cheap doesn't help.

I also dont understan this. Maybe we are subjective, but Vargasa really DID look stunning in last season. We let Serginho go and he is IDEAL player to replace Sergio. We should just, as someone said, come and pay and have the BEST lb in serie a. Vargas left, Zambrotta right and there you go.

Fiorentina will have VERY strong team with extremly good and capable coach that has perfectly worked out sistem of adaptation for every single palyer.

Frey is top class GK, Revellier is a very good palyer by all standards, Vargas is superb, Gabmerini is also excellent. Montolivo is super player, Mutu, PAzzini, Gila will be good again, the young Monte Nego player is a supoer class ( I believe Tony ). You will see that Viola can play well in CL. And in scudetto.

There was an insteresting story on net. Prandelli said in the locker room of Viola: " We will build a team that can win scudetto for 5 years" and Mutu responded:" hey, that is not good for us who are over 30, we need to win it in 3.."

I think you meant "in" five years...but I got your point, and I think they're headed in the right direction. That's why in my opinion if they could attract a young international star like a G. Dos Santos who could grow with the team, would take that team to another level and really help Italian football in the long.

Fiorentina is not going to win anything with striker like Gila. Trust me .

Vargas = Overrated
Just wait until he moves to a big side...
