Ha! ha! ha! this sounds normal to us but Mr Galliani said wehave made the best transfers "we took back Borriello and Abbiati" so go along Abbiati who is worst than Dida and only Borrielo for in front...

Thanks Giancarlo...I don't usually have opportunity to see how some of our loaned players perform, and I am always glad for the info.

I vehemently disagree with you on that one. Abbiati is a pretty solid keeper, and I think he's more suited for Milan... he had some mistakes at Atletico, but all in all most of his games there were pretty good. I don't think he's worse than Dida in any sense. And there are negotiations for another forward going as we speak.

We do have an active transfer season. I've counted five players brought into Milans ranks...

Borriello (who is a pretty good striker and I think a late bloomer), Abbiati (I think he's a great goalkeeper), Zambrotta (great player), Antonini (solid as I said), Flamini (we'll see, I think this kid has a great of talent)...

We've also sold Gilardino who was doing nothing for us. Ibrahim Ba, Serginho, Cafu and Fiori retired.

I think we are reshuffling our ranks. And I think Galliani is making all the right moves. He's making the correct decisions, and I think he still has some more players on mind. Antonini was a good start to reinforce the left area now that Serginho is gone. Just three or four more players and we're all set. As I said, one more defender, one or two more strikers, and another goalkeeper.

And yes I do agree that we need a young talented 2nd string goalkeeper... and Dida has to be released. I think if Dida goes back to Brazil to play for Palmerias or Flamengo he should gain some of his form back.

My list of keepers for second string: Heurleho Gomes (he's not that young, but he's great, plays for PSV), Oscar Ustari (21 year Argentine Getafe keeper), Juan Pablo Carrizo (his impressive performances have saved a less than impressive River Plate defense numerous times), Davide Bassi (plays for Empoli, and played in the U-21 Toulon Tournament helping Italy win the trophy... very impressive)...

I am often confused about the ownership of primavera players in Italy. They are owned by their primavera clubs for many years (not just 2-3 years).
Pretty much yes, we keep him on our cards as with many young players. Big clubs often loan out (or sell half the contract) young talents to smaller teams to see how they develop. If successful and useful, the players return to their parent club (either from loan or for a negotiated amount/blind bids), otherwise they'll get sold off (if there's not really any hope left).

Essentially, this is what's happened with Antonini. He's always been a possible player for Milan, but until now he's never quite shown enough to earn a place back in Milan and he wasn't needed at the club. Therefore, Milan let him continue to ply his trade elsewhere until the management felt confident he'd be an asset to the club and he was needed.

Same sort of situation has occurred with Borriello and Abbiati.

Indeed, and it also must be noted that Antonini went through seven or eight different teams (you can see this on wikipedia)... he has a lot of experience for a 25 year old. It took him like 6 or 7 years to gain the experience needed to come back to Milan...

Thank you for the info, ACMilan1983.

It means Milan have to pay many young players that has come out from Primavera (not all of course).

Regarding Mexes and Ronaldinho... I don't think either of them are coming to Milan. Ronaldinho is in bad form and might be sold to Man City... Mexes... well Milan has promised never to try to break into a contract of a player at Roma. I'm not sure if Mexes is still in contract... anyways, Milan and Roma are actually on good terms management wise.

really good post, and agree with it fully.

now we are set with sidebacks: Cafu out-Zambro in, Serginho out-Antonini in.
as for GK's we are set too, dont expect us to buy any one worthwile.
if we get zapata, or ferrari - who i am more hesitant to although he would be free, our central defense would be good.
rumour has it we officially got adebayor for €37M(http://www.skylife.it/html/skylife/s...day.html).that would settle our attack. otherwise it's teh usual (drogba, gomez, etc)
Dinho seems set for Man City, so there goes 1 good AMF. moutinho would seem like a good buy.

Good points. But I really don't want to see Milan get Adebayor... he's so incredibly wasteful with shots... he's missed more sitters than Gilardino...

Ronaldinho hasn't ever really played that well with Kaka (you can look at Brazil national team games and the last world cup)... and not to mention, he's in terrible form...

As far as attacking midfielders are concerned. I agree, we should get one. I think Gourcuff will be able to come back in the future after he gains more experience with Bordeaux, but we need one for the immediate future.

Wow what a GREAT Transfer SEASON

We got a semi washed up Zambrotta, a Boriello who never impressed in red and black and a guy who Wenger had no space for last year.....All hail Galliani the transfer guru

Also with us having NO concrete links to CR7, Quaresma (on his way to Inter ), Ribery, Nani, Robben, Ben Arfa OR Malouda it looks like Carlo mightn't have any freedom to change tactics

Well there's nothing left here to do but listen to the comparisons of R10 and Gila- the next MVB.

What can I say? continue to doubt that GREAT PLAYERS are actually great and continue to rejoice at the prospect of getting Abbiatti, Maggio and Antonini.... meanwhile Inter, Real, Barca, Bayern and ManU continue to build squads that are sooooo scary that they look like they were assembled in fifa 08

boruc 10mil.
zapata 15mil.
cigarini/dossena/montolivo 10mil.
R10 20mil.
drogba/gomez 25mil.
80 mils for a fat squad with a combination of all kinds of players which is capable of winning squdetto and UCL for years to come

Srna is at Shaktar Donetsk and doesn't look like leaving for a figure of that amount, so he must be of Far, yes - Far, less quality than Alves. Your logic, not mine.

Jeff, i don't get why Channel 4 or Calciomercato are bad sources (in terms of reliability) for news and Gazetta/Corriere are ok sources for news. The former just take their articles from the latter.
You are being sophistic and making me tipe for nothing just to explain WORDS to you!

I said that the player that we are talking about has LESS quality then ALves, LESS, not that he is a player of LOW quality. I think the difference is clear and that my sentences were clear as well.

Yes, Dario Srna is a player with FAR less quality then D. Alves, far. So is Oddo, Bonera, Jankulovski, Grygera, Maxvell and so on... Only palyers up to him are MAicon and fresh Zambrotta, but at this moment you need to realist what Brasiliero said - Alves is a playmaker at the RB stop, man that can create the game. And no ther fullback can do that. He can influence the game like young Cafu could.

Read what I wrote please carefully so you dont missunderstand some parts or words, thanx.

It's depressing to see the management not did things right in the past.

It's more depressing to see posts where people just bash for the sake of bashing because the management didn't bring their favorite players.

Just never learn to appreciate thing.

I totally agree, Galliani welcomes players if they are cheap or free.
We sold Gila to Fiorentina for what? 15 m to make trasfers that are less than 15? We could have made an exchange with Frey...
The clubs you refer to make real trasfers... $$$$
