He has not lost his value to us....we love him and appreciate his qualities...but in a broader perspective.....his usefullness is limited without the right personnel around him as was CLEARLY demonstrated in the Arsenal game......If we had a bone crushing speed/fitness demon like Essien who could have cleaned up and protected Pirlo we could have done Arsenal some damage....but as it was Gattuso with his failing physical abilities and our poor backline meant that all of his creativity remained in his mind and not on the field....he didn't even have the energy to take a decent free kick. Seedorf has it a bit easier because he isn't built out of 1mm thick cotton candy sheeting like Pirlo so he can't get hustled off the ball as easily...but Seedorf is far too conservative and less visionary so the net effect isn't much better.

Sounds like MIlan is in deep trouble!

I don't think Milan is in deep trouble... we have a great visionary of a manager... and he can adapt to other formations. I think we should keep Pirlo and Seedorf.

We are reinforcing our squad with new players. We do have a new defensive midfielder though... with Flamini. Flamini was often called the replacement of Gattuso... but it seems Gattuso will still play. Maybe this will give Gattuso more of a chance to rest and such... so he isn't playing so intensively all the time.

If we have a deeper squad all the better. It won't put so much pressure on a few of the players.

And you must realize this last season was pretty intensive with the trip to Japan and everything... if we had a deeper squad, we could have rotated the squad the first few weeks...

Yeah, I don't understand that either. More importantly, does Gomez deserve the criticism? His was integral to both goals in the build up and he regularly got in good positions. He had two chances, one he wasted with a scuffed shot, the other he couldn't reach as Klose passed too far ahead of him (can't say that's his fault imo).

Gomez didn't play his natural role other than for about 10-15 minutes in the second half when Klose went on the left (at which point Germany weren't putting together any real coherent play). Other than that, Gomez was playing off the front man (Klose).

he is a left midfielder, who is also considered a winger, he is a brazilian, playing in Cska, along with Jo Alves and Vagner Love, i knoe Inter was very much interested in him last year. For any brazilians or russians on this board, you may put more information on him, and comment on whether he would be a fit in Milan.

daniel carvalho is a very good player however to play with carvalho we must stick to your 4-2-3-1 formation which i see unrealistic as pirlo is not that much of an anchor man an he will lose much of his ability not playing a deep lying playmaker so we play 4-3-1-2 and flamini will fill ambrosini's clumsiness and allow pirlo to push forward whenever he wants

Yes we are....I could almost throw up every time we were losing and the FSC commentator noticed that "we had no width" mostly because he was RIGHT

It's so perfect in a fifa 08 sort of a way But what we have done is to concentrate our players in a very small area of the pitch making us extremely vulnerable to counter attacks and long high balls.

Eto'o 334 / 169 = 0.5 goals/match
Gomez 112 / 52 = 0.46 goals/match
Adebayor 105 / 46 = 0.44 goals/match
Berbatov 360/173 = 0.48 goals/match

it would seem that eto'o is the best and drogba worst, bust they are all pretty similar.
they are not up to the same day, but they are all updated some day in may... doesnt make a significant difference. maybe later i'll post one for when they played in decent clubs (not second division clubs at the age of 18 etc.)

first 2 years in epl. 23 goals each season in all competitions. Remember this year he started awful cause of whole jol situation where they started like 2-9 there tactics looks awful and NO ONE scored. He is rare, a big CF w/ skills who can also score.

He's not ibrahimovic is thats what ur thinking. In all actuality i think his game suits italy more than epl

seedorf playing less minutes/games would mean him playing at a higher level... which is ALWAYS a positive. I love dinho, i just dont know if he'll regain form. if he did though... him kaka pato would make everyone cringe.

No I'm not him. But I think people are making things worse than they really are. We're not in big trouble. We are making the right buys, getting the right players... just need another striker or two...

And some people want Galliani to resign? For what? He's doing the right things bringing in useful players...

I'm warming to the idea of Drogba or Berbatov. If I'm indeed Galliani or Berlusconi I'll try my best lol. Berbatov though plays for Tottenham... this is not exactly a top class club...
