The problem is that Ronaldinho and Kaka almost never play well together... we just have to look at the various national team games they have played. Or the last world cup. And I don't think Ronaldinho will ever gain his old form back...

he is CHEAP. he has not bought good players... boriello sucks. Zambrotta is good but old (temproary fix), antonini?!? cmon we're milan not empoli. Flamini was free..... I mean i dont expect us to spend like chelsea or even inter, but cmon man.

We are outspent by midtable squads. Clearly our team is flawed. They coudlnt reach 4th. much less challenge at all for league. Boriello, Zambro and Flamini will not fix that. This isnt a 1 year thing. Last year we barely made 4th. Largely because of ronaldo. Its sad

Yes you prepare for them by having a deeper squad you can rotate... That's what Milan is doing right now... increasing their depth and squad. Emerson and Brocchi simply don't cut it.

At what point does it become big trouble? Or what is big trouble to you?

We're not in CL and finished 5th in the league...for a team of Milan's stature and with Milan's history, that IS BIG trouble.

Borriello does not suck. Zambrotta is a great player, and I think he has a good 4 or 5 years left in him. Antonini is a pretty good player that can be a good substitute. Hey you know Gattuso came from a team called Salernitana I believe...

Our team is NOT flawed, and we were not outspent. Look at Juve or Inter... they haven't even started buying players. Well Juve has bought what? Like three players? Mellberg? LOL. Borriello, Zambrotta and Flamini will fix it as far as I'm concerned, though buying is not done.

If you think we buy poor players, you're wrong.

Just look at Juve buys... Sissoko...

Exactly...but last year when we had all those games to play in Japan was the year to do that. It's called being proactive.

Don't get it twisted Giancarlo - what management is doing for next year is , is more reactive to the year we just had.

So the management should do nothing? Yes the moves they are making are reactive... but it's better late than never to fix mistakes that were made, or to fix the lack of action.

Gattuso was 20 or 21 i believe then. Antonini is 26. Zambro is great but 4-5 years is stretching it. Name another FB who is still class at 36 aside from maldini. Cafu certainly wasnt. I guess u could say zanetti from inter. But its definately NOT common.

boriello is less accomplished that gilardino coming over. I really think his stas r inflated too 1 season 19 goals. 5 from pks. so 14 goals. he's not VERY skilled. He was force fed the ball... something you dont have happen w/ big clubs. I just think he'll be like gila, fade outta most games. He's a typical small club striker. iunno, it just doesnt impress me. I'd rather have hurt ronaldo uptop

Giancarlo, we arent pissed off because they diidnt make any transfers we wanted, we are pissed off because they made no transfers, period. They made that mistake in 2006 and we suffered badly in the league and hardly made it to fourth, but then we won the CL because of the great effort of our players..that CL win blinded our arrogant management and lead them to believe that the same eleven can do it again next year. Their problem is that they didnt learn from their mistakes and repeated it.

And most of the posters are right, this is definitely the worst moment in the Carlo era so if there is to be any worrying then it is now. I aint doing any worrying because I'm confident the management will reinforce well, one season out of the CL wouldn't hurt but it would probably be a blessing I say.

I think we need 3-4 more world class players and not just a striker. Dinho would be nice, but I think there are players that can't be depended on again - Kaladze, Oddo, Jankulovski, Gattuso. We've already got in Zambro and Flamini which are two good buys, but I want one more midfielder for Seedorf's spot. Two DMs formation is something we need to get rid of fast.

Yes, Gattuso was 20-21 then. Zambrotta is great and has a lot of experience backing him. Italian players generally have greater longevity. Look at Inzaghi and Maldini. Cafu was great till the end... he gave us a lot... and even on his retirement date, his physical shape was in good form. So much so that even some Brazilian clubs were looking to sign him.

Borriello has better positional sense than Gilardino and I have confidence that he will do well. He's pretty skilled... better than Gilardino... he won't be anything like Gilardino. He's not a small club striker.
