Milan084, I think you are posting in the wrong thread. This thread is strictly about transfers and such. Maybe we should just stick to transfers. Didn't we have a point deduction in 06/07 though? Yes facts are facts and I accept them. And yes I do disagree with you on just about everything, but we really must be getting back to what is important.

Does anyone have any reports on any rumors or impending transfers for Milan that we haven't heard already? The Maggio deal fell through (almost expected)...

Time to close or rename this thread? 80% of it is crap that has nothing to do with the summer mercato...

Milan continues to look for a great striker. Given the difficulties in meeting the high costs of Eto'o and Drogba, the Rossoneri are focusing on Adebayor. The agent of the Togolese national who plays for Arsenal is expected in Milan to continue with the negotiations.
The Rossoneri are however toying with an alternative. According to English press reports Milan would have joined Manchester City in the race for Jo. The 21 year old Brazilian striker of Cska Moscow, who scored two goals against Inter in the Champions League, has physical and technical characteristics similar to Adebayor.

If we don't buy any striker before the end of Euro, that will mean we are seriously looking for Benzema ... because let's be honest, don't expect a move from Lyon to Milan for Benzema while he plays for the French NT in Switzerland/Austria !!

Has huntelaar ever been mentioned? Multiple 30+ goal seasons. Likens to RVN and the type of player we need. I would have thought management would have been all over it considering our luck w/ the dutch in the past/present

If we get Benzema..that means no Dinho I'm assuming. I'm not gonna be complaining though! With Zambro, Pirlo, Kaka, Flamini and the new fullback feeding them...either Pato or Benzema will definitely break 20 goals in the league!

You may ask why I want another fullback...it's because I don't trust Janku's defensive capabilities one bit. I think they'll keep him though because he's very good going forward but then what do we do against the top teams? We probably won't get a LB this summer though...seeing that we brought in Antonini already.

EDIT: ^^ Huntelaar is a personal favourite and I think he'll do well with a creative midfield and active flanks which we should have next season. He's definitely cheaper than Benzema and has a more consistent record to show as well. I wouldn't mind either to be honest.

And it's also good to have reinforcements. I'm sure that Jankulovski will get better... he was one a great player for Milan. He had some bad injuries this last season... but we need someone to replace him in that recovery. Well, I'm anxious to hear about who we sign.

Milano, Huntelaar's too YOUNG for us right now!
He's actually my top choice, but I don't think we'll get him. Was hoping to see him on display this month but I've heard he picked up an injury. My only complaint of his is during the dutch league he was pretty good, but his skill on the ball is where I get nervous. Lack of control is easier to get away with against Groningen, Nijmegin and Den Haag. Not so easy against Juve, Inter, or Roma. Being Dutch I'm biased, and he could develop into a real poacher or holding forward. Honestly, if the price were right, why not? We've got a year to build and develop and we wouldn't be throwing around silly money for someone who may/may not pan out.

i would hate to talk about religion or politics with some of you guys,the way you guys go after each other just over transfers and the teams future.What ever anyone says on this forum is never going to matter to Galliani.We voice our opinion because of our love for Milan.Milan is a great club,in fact the greatest club when it comes done to foriegn trophies.We should have faith in a team with such history.We are all inpatient when it comes down to winning.Every great club has had a bad season and that said i believe Milan will not rest without improving our club.The track record speaks for itself.

I think our management is looking for a different kind of striker, a kind of striker who is able to create himself some occasions (Adebayor, Drogba, Benzema, Eto'o can) and/or to play with his head (Adebayor, Drogba, Benzema too but has to improve).

For Jankulovski, I'm still afraid that he gets injuries again next season ... after one entire year like that with injuries, the previous season, he had some injuries too, I'm not confident about him playing the whole season. So Antonini/Zambrotta are welcome !!

Well, Huntelaar is a bit more active inside and outside the box than Gila was with Milan. At the end, Gila was growing roots in the box. For a box poacher, you have to move and make your space *cue genius of Pippo*; Gila didn't do it, Huntelaar, RvN, those guys do it.
However, it won't mean a hill of beans if we don't have people to give good service into the box.
