wow.. Spainnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn !!! fantastic performance by the Spanish and also fantastic scoreboard. one word ! DAVID VILLA. well Torres at 2nd place ^^ i remember when Valencia struggled and reported would sell the likes of Villa and co i am overjoyed an Braida also suggested Milan to buy players from Valencia. my sweet dream becomes true even it was just a rumour and now is more sweet than before. when my friend said Torres would be amazing in this Euro 2008 i said dream on, Villa will speaks alot and i hope i am still true until the end of this Euro 2008. 1st goal was absolutely great coorporation between Torres, Capdevilla before gave the ball to Villa. simply tap in but changed the scoreboard , 2nd goal was an assist from Iniesta who played very attractive last night. 3rd goal was a beautiful assist from one of my fave players: Cesc Fabregas . and Fabregas made me even proud again when he scored the 4th goal for Spain well Aragones would has a headache to make a choice between Fabregas or Torres the only consolation goal for Russia was coming from Pavlyuchenko. i still couldnt believe that Spain crushed Russia so cruel. well.. Euro 2008 began when Holland beat Italy and still continuing

ps. Ibra saved the day when Swedia beat Greece. seems like the former winner needs early packing from this Euro. dont remind me with Italy

Spain has some defensive problems though with the weak Carlos Puyol and Marchena... Marchena had a horrible season with Valencia.. Puyol is in bad form. I hope that they pull together for tihs tournament...

But as far as Braida saying that... you have an link? I'm very interested in reading about that and would be very happy if it were indeed true.

I'd like to see "El Guaje" play for Milan. He's not particularly tall (5'9"), but he has a proven record... more than Adebayor, Drogba or Eto'o...

i agree that Puyol didnt played good last night. he was also fault for Pavlyuchenko's goal. and Maschena also didnt displayed his best either. but the midfielders and forwards were awesome and somehow covered their weakness.

Sounds good by me... though I always question goal.com... but I'd really like that to be true. David Villa would be a great forward for Milan... I would hope that Milan act on this opportunity and not allow any EPL team try to get him.

100% true, Moggi knows football better then 99% of all the people in calcio. Rino is out of form, he needs to be rotated and rested firstly.

Villa is a monster

Moggi does a good statement with the defense ...
But not for the midfield, the best (for me) would be to play with something like that:

For Villa, he is very good with his NT each time he plays, but he's not yet a W-C striker (didn't do a real entire excellent season with 20+ goals).

I heard our players revolted against Donadoni and they demanded change, and I hear five of them will be benched, including Materazzi and Barzagli.

Czech Republic with a player like Nedved and a younger Koller would have been a very good team
They miss exactly these two kind of players

The Czechs were ripped apart by Portugal... though they are likely to come in second in their group I think...

i am hoping Czech Republic qualifies from this group alongside Portugal. but with unpredictable result Switzerland lost to Turkey in the last minute, Turkey is also gets a chance to qualify, i was hoping the draw result for this game. i have to admit that Portugal very impressive last night. CR7 was on fire. he was contributed for every goals for Portugal. 1st goal was his contribution together with Nuno Gomes to made Deco brought Portugal in front of Czech. even after that my wish was on again when Czech seemed like woke up after saw Deco's goal and our Janku almost made a goal. but the true goal came from the corner who took by Plasil and Sionko headed the ball to made the scoreboard 1-1. i was overjoyed. until CR7 made a goal from a beautiful passed by Deco. even after that Czech was thriller to make another goal. and it seemed like they would gonna do it. until the unselfish ball delivered by CR7 to Quaresma and took Portugal won the match 1-3. and after that my fingers kept crossed for the draw result between Switzerland and Turkey. it was almost done until Turan left my heart broken in the last final minute first ticket to next round is taken by Portugal. the other left i hope will belong to Czech Republic

Ripped apart? That's a bit extreme i think. The Czech's defended quite well and i don't think they were ever over stretched until Galasek their DM was sacrificed for another striker. They handled Ronaldo well and he hardly got a chance to really run at people, he always had 1 or 2 around him to make a challenge. Deco was the one running Portugal (as usual), he still has a lot of quality.

I must also say that i thought the Czech's did well with only Baros up front and they caused Portugal quite a few problems, especially from set pieces (Riccardo is dodgy). I also think Jankulovski played quite well and against difficult opposition he performed admirably. Mountinho was a little more withdrawn than in the first game, but he kept things ticking over even if he never posed much of a goal threat.

Overall though it was a good game to watch

I think that is a bit of an overstatement. The Czechs had numerous chances that they didn't capitalize on. Pasil was the best player on the pitch in the first half. Portugal took control of the game when the neturalized him in the second half, once Pasil moved to the center of the pitch (late in the game) the Czechs started to be dangerous again.

Does anyone know if this is the same Pasil that played for Monaco? I was impressed with him yesterday.

Here is a shock of the day... Croatia pulled ahead 1-0 against Germany... bet no one saw that one coming. I certainly didn't. Lets see if it lasts...
