I think there should be legal action taken by Italy and I think UEFA should be sued.

I dont think Holland will let Romania win. They are a fair football nation.

Jeff I dont undrstand what you said to me in post above.
"You must have forgotten that it's us who creatd the rule. Having the audacity to come out and say, "ya that's not my problem it's the rule's problem" is not only ironic but shows their utter stupidity and the courage to admit mistake."

I know its a problem but what can I say? The rule is idiotic andthat is it. I cannot go in front of Uefa headquaters and throw rocks. Can I?

And more from "nobel and super president" Platini - the way UEFA and national associations sold out its tickets. Croatia has around 10 000 tickets for each match, from which around 8000 goes to sponsors who sell tickest to their imployers - which means not real football fans. Banks and different money making firms have the tickets - WHY? And people who follow Croatia to Macedonia, Latvia, Estonia, Island, Russia and so on got $h!t(sorry for expression). I know Italian fans said that it was almost impossible to get tickets for them. And look at the fans - not a close to the real football atmosphere like when nations play home games. In Maksimir ( Zragreb ) there is 5000 times better crowd then in Austria now as just a small number of real fans got the tickest and the rest went to the mom's boys and thieves who run some kind of business are their firms pay federations for the propaganda and so on... shamefull.

Platini did nothing, its not enough to just talk smoothly on TV.

EDIT:
Italy got robbed, but so did Poland for example and noone is talking about it. The ref was a circus in both Austria games, pathetic.

I think people do talk about that match, mrki, only not here because we are not Poland fans by large.

And that sentence is not directed to you but to UEFA>

And yet again somehow surprisingly in the Italy vs Holland match the entire stadium was painted orange. I seriously wonder how could this happen.

Platini is doing everything to slow down the azzuri.

No, it was the same in the Netherlands-France match ... I don't think Platini wants to slow down France ? lol

Actually, there is a problem with their tickets, watch each match, there's always 80% (at least) for one country ... and it's always the same countries (Switzerland-Austria, it's ok for them even if there would have to be the same number of tickets for their opponents, Netherlands, and 1-2 other countries too).

I think, in Germany vs Croatia, croatia fans dominated the stadion. I dont know why, Germany should dominate as Austria/Switzerland are pretty 'german'.

Had that goal been allowed, Romania would be down by a goal at the half-time. So, they would have definitely played a more attacking game. I agree with you in the sense that we can never know if that would have been a positive or negative thing for Italy.
I hope you agree that Italy didn't profit from that offside call.

The match was played in Klagenfurt on the Austrian-Slovenian border (around 200km from Croatia) which is only 3-4 hours by car from Zagreb (croatian capital)
Croats are the third largest ethnic group living in Klagenfurt, after the Austrians and the Slovenians, so that's another reason why there were so many Croats there.

And as always in every WC and Euro we played so far our fans were dominant

For the first game vs Austria in Wienna there were 100 000 croats in the city, now in quaters ( also in Wienna ) I dont know what will happen... THERE ARE NO TICKETS dough!

This time: Torres rules!

Blind ref! That should be a penalty on Silva

Exactly. It would have changed the run of play, and forced the Romanians into attack mode thus leaving their back exposed... that is where Italy is particularly stellar at... counter attacks.

There have been a lot of bad refereeing mistakes in this tournament. And I fully acknowledge that Poland got screwed too. I do not view this tournament as legitimate and I really hope Italy takes legal action.

We really can't know if "this" Italy version 2008 would have won the match even if the first goal had been accepted (I'm upset: read the last declarations from UEFA !! They now say that there was no mistake too, Del Piero was offside, but in my opinion, Del Piero didn't play the ball and the goal saw the ball coming and Toni on his right, so ... this goal was legal and had to be accepted for sure).

Anyway, as we'll never know, let's look at the future and this death match against France, already a death match (or yet a death match, already the second one for Italy after the match against Romania).

If Italy passes this group stage, they'll be very strong !!
(but they will have to play against Spain)

It's not just a legitimate goal that was disallowed, there was an illegitimate penalty kick given to the Romanians... thank goodness Buffon saved that. But, it just seems the referees ruled against Italy in every way shape and form.

Yes of course, but if the players were better, we would write about these referees mistakes by joking ... unfortunately, Italian players are in trouble when their opponents accelerate their passes and attack, it's what surprises me the most !!

It seems like it's not a good Euro for Italy, but we are all able to say it isn't a good Euro for referees too !! It's time for UEFA/FIFA to take the right decision about video ...

While our performance against Romania was far from our best, it was indeed a great improvement and the players played decently... Italy's formation in the first game was Donadoni's fault entirely. The 2nd one against Romania showed attacking and defensive power...
