Yeah, I think it was because after the first goal (which I still think should have been called offside) they all pushed up a little more than usual and couldn't run back fast enough when Netherlands countered.

They're not really fast. I can't think one guy on the Italian team that's known for his speed.

We got burned because we had the inappropriate defenders on the field. Barzagli and Materazzi are not any good... we play the fast Grosso... and things suddenly changed...

Let's see what would Milan really be thinking?

At attack:Pato,Pippo,Borriello and Paloschi,can Milan truly win the league with these attackers.I don't think so and i don't think Milan so either.Solution would have to be someone like Eto or Drogba,reason Pippo is the only one with big game experience,Adebayor and Benzema would not help Milan in long grinding season.
Choice: Eto

Midfielders:Kaka,Seedorf,Pirlo,Gattuso,Flamini and Ambro.I don't count Emerson because he is done,another Real Madrid transfer ripoff and i don't count either Brocchi because he looks like he is done also,sell him please.
Solution:Cigrani,Veloso,Quaresma,Menez.I don't see Quaresma happening,great talent but at what price?Cigrani still young and has lot's of promise,but is he ready for a club like Milan?
Choice:Veloso,playing for a top club and country right and fill in alot of holes for Milan.If the price is right he would good for Milan,also like's Milan which helps.
And i have already spoken about Menez,my opinion on him very high.These 2 players can blend in with the more experienced player.Milan needs youth in the Midfielder.Milan has one of the best midfields in the world,all Milan needs is players to step in when needed.

Defenders:Nesta,Maldini,Bonera,Kaladze,Zambro,Janku,Antonini,Oddo,Favalli and now Abate.With all experienced players at CD i don't see Milan spending whole lot of money on CD.It will most probably be surprise signing of about 3-5million,i don't know who it could be,but don't expect players like Zapata to come in.It would most propably be someone like Matteo Ferrari for free,he is someone who can fill in for the older guys.
The fullbacks,i think Milan is done there ,with all the experienced players and youth players that Milan has brought in.It looks alot better than year ago believe me.A good mix of players,but they will need to hold up to compete for the Scudetto.

Goalkeepers:Kalc,Dida and Abbiati.
Milan have not been very active in transfer talks lately about a goalkeeper,but i can not believe this is true.
Milan has to think that Kalc,Dida or Abbiati are not the answer at goalkeeper.There is no way Milan wins the Scudetto with one of these guys.
Choice:Not to many goalkeepers but at the end of day it has to be Gomes or Boruc.Milan will have to spend at goalkeeper if they want to win the Scudetto.

Eto,will be signed only if the price comes down to about 25million.
Veloso also will be sign if price is right and Menez looks like a player that's going to be worth 20million next year,the way Monaco are talking lately it seems they want to hold to him for one more year.
Matteo Ferrari:Free,that's all i have to say.
Boruc or Gomes:About 10-15million.We must buy one of them.

That all said,Milan in a perfect world.
Eto=25million
Ferrari=free
Boruc=12million.
We still have about 20million in transfer sales.It sounds like we have very good chance to sign Eto and Boruc for 40-45million.

Completely disagree w/ adebayor. Scored 30 goals in epl last season. His only slump came when rosisky and eduardo went down. Aka he played alone upfront w/ the amazing service of eboue.... you try to score! Benzema was great for lyon in champions league. Scoring to move them out of group stages. And scoring on ManUtd. I would not mind him

Ambro and gattuso played VERY poorly. To start 2 dms and not stop a counter is pretty bad. but yeah materazzi and barzagli didnt help to say it lightly..

I'm sure it would have been a little better.. if we had Grosso and Chiellini back there... instead of those two jokers... but Ambrosini and Gattuso... well it's beyond me why De Rossi did not play instead of Ambrosini. Even Ancelotti said play "De Rossi"... why I believe that Milan is going to be looking for a holding midfielder like him. De Rossi is tough and can protect Pirlo...

I hear Donadoni is gonna get sacked?

he moves out of group and makes a little run he'll be safe. but if he doesnt he'll for sure get sacked. you're right on grosso and chiellini and de rossi

Perrotta instead of Ambrosini might be a smart move. You can get more of Perrota for a longer period of time. And he's more versatille.

Actually I think it was Pirlo... and if Donadoni does that... I think he'll be sacked shortly after the game.

I respect your opinion,i just see Eto of less of a gamble.He would be great with Kaka and Pato.I just would not gamble on a Wenger player first of all.Henry,Anelka,Pires,Overmars.What every happened to these players.Let's face it Wenger makes players better than they usually are.
