Sheva and Gila are grouped together, because their transfers took like a year to make, both sides paid a lot of money, and they both busted, giving u both ends of the spectrum. On one end, we gambled on a young one that had two seasons of performance, and he busted. on the other end, chelsea gambles on a proven guy for everywhere (CL and everything), and out of nowhere, he completely stopped performing. Meaning nothing is a sure thing, this wasnt directed to you and huntelar, but in general. For people wantin to gamble in drogba, why not crespo? for adebayor, why not adriano? for etoo, why not suazo? the alternatives are serie a proven, much cheaper, and in some cases less injury prone. Also, do you really think Huntelaar never crossed the management's mind? Don't you think they scouted such a prodigy? Considering the info that the management has available on Huntellar, and the info you have, im sure they have a clearer picture thus can make a better decision. There is a reason our team has not taken a gamble on him, and it isnt just money, cause im sure he wud cost less than adebayor. Overall, I think Huntelar is a great player, but Im not sure the club would take such a gamble after the bitter taste Gila left in their mouth.

If we really are interested in Adebayor, its probably because he raped our defense in CL and impressed our management. also, adebayor plays in epl which is more respected. More likely, this is all a smoke screen. Meaning we actually have another target that we dont want any1 to know about. OR, Galliani knows Wegner would never give us Adebayor and this is his way of closing the market. providing an excuse for buying nobody, saying that adebayor was the only one for us, and since they dont want to sell, we cant buy.

Huntelaar I think could very well be a Gilardino... these players cannot handle the pressure of a high pressure cooker atmosphere like Milan. They can deal with Parma, Lazio, and others... Huntelaar doesn't have the best dribbling and control skills from what I've heard...

huntelaar could also be ruud van nistelrooy. I dont know though.... its hard to argue w/ his production. but you all have VERY valid points on ajax being a different animal than ac milan. so my thoughts are... i dont know. I do know manchester united is after him because they want an out and out striker, and real madrid has also been after him because.... well they r *******s. If anyone hear follows the dutch league closely please chime in! Because everyones right he could be the next van basten or the next gila....

what do i know is we need another striker. we have a young pato, who is a support striker. we have pippo who is our experienced predator, not very technical though. borriello as well is not very technical. Now i'm not sold on borriello being a first team 35 game striker who will produce 25 goals....so what i think we need is essentially a young ronaldo (i know, not asking for the greatest striker of a generation or anything.....). but what i mean is, a striker who can lead the line. but can also drop back when playing with say pippo or boriello. my point is if we got a player like RVN, do you really thing him and pippo could play together at same time?

So now the question is, what strikers out there fit this criteria?

I do kinda agree with you Milano84 (that's rare heheh)... I say we play with two strikers... Borriello or Pippo and another major striker (I'd really prefer Eto'o but I do concede that's a small chance)... I know that Pippo and Pato play well... but we really need another striker because Pippo may be more focused on the UEFA Cup. He always do very well in European tournaments.

yeah i think both adebayor and eto'o fit the mold of player we need. i think both can play w/ pato (wow either of them w/ pato and kaka.... now theres a fast counter) and they can both play w/ pippo..... but i really doubt either will happen. both r going to cost over 40 million euros, a record for us....

i hope berbatovs name resurfaces. i think he is more skilled and than both. Although i'll admit eto'o is more clinical at finishing and adebayor is more physical.... ultimately when u combine all 3 qualities i think he has most to offer.

did anyone see fiorentina rejected mutu's request for wage increase.... now if theres something milans good at... its paying its players.... forever...

I think Eto'o may actually be possible since Barcelona are off-loading him and may lower their asking price.

who else r actively after eto'o? tottenham? lol man city? ROFL.

Well Inter was the only one... Eto'o however is probably one of the best strikers, in my opinion... more proven than Adebayor. He may be the right one...

I hear Chelsea may be interested in Eto'o too... but who knows...
