TO be honest, can Galliani just shut up, b/c he is probably the only MGT in the world that keep saying so and so is 180% our player. While others MGT actually say, we will sign him or her but then a few weeks later come out and say that the other club won't sell. I have to believe that he can't be THAT stupid...after last year's transfer market and after making all these claims of the players that will arrive...he MUST have some plan or move that will be made or 12th hour plan.

i do agree though, if he lets adebayor slip to barca, and we dont come up w/ a suitable alternative.... eto'o or berbatov. he's done. Personally my order would still be berbatov, adebayor, eto'o..... i am still sitting on fence w/ podolski

ugh i understand that mentality w/ maldini.... even with nesta, pirlo, pippo, kaka etc... players whove been milan for a long time and made real contributions.

favalli has only been here 2 years and was an interista. brocchi 2-3 years, emerson 1 year. We owe these players nothing!

real zaragoza is listeni9ng to offers on pablo aimar at 6-7mil. i dont know if he'd fit milan. he is talented though and always impressed me w/ argentina

I really do think we will get someone who can truly help take our team back to the level we need to be on to compete for a scudetto. It's just managements way of going about it that frustrating the heck of me and I think most others.

And like I said if NO arrives...faithful Milanistas won't soon forget if we have a repeat of last season.

Please do not massacre Favalli. He is a very professional player. His services have been valuable for us in the past. He is a perfect squad player.

As some have stated earlier, there is an issue with the dead weight we're carrying...i've begun to shifty my thinking away from getting new players, to really considering who we can drop. obviously there are anywhere from 6-8 names that most people would be happy to see go. however, we do need some depth and we can't replace all in one go. we're like the best retirement home for players, paying nice wages to players not playing that much, fading off into the sunset. it is really starting to hurt our bottom line. this year won't be our year for the scudetto, but i think that if we do things right, i.e. clear out massive, get in 2-3 primavera that will be consistent performers and given a chance to play (please, Carlo) and supplement with 2-3 proven names, we can be top-notch for 09-10 season.

He's a liability every time he plays. Hence the reason for signing Antonini. Someone to drop Favalli to 3rd choice.

Are you serious? Are you related to him?

He's fills a hole at the decent level at best. He's not a quality replacement in the back. He's had 5 or 6 decent games and maybe out of those 1 or 2 where he's impressed.

We're not winning no scudetto through the play of Favalli.

Galliani is full of crap.

Flamini was free, and hence there was no serious negotiations, all we did was offer the most money.

Zambro stated many times he wanted to come back to Italy, negotiations should have been easy, but it took him so long to complete it.

Boriello, Abate, Abbiati and Antonini were already ours, or 1/2 owed by us, hence nothing hard.

lets look at players he tried to get,

Ade, nope, couldnt make any useful negotiations with wenger.

Eto, Drogba and R10, same thing in heavy negotiations, but nothing came out of it.

So i dont see how he rules the market, he only got a free player, a homesick player, and a few players we already owned.

yes, i agree.
i we get rid of Favalli, Brocchi, Simic we can free up some money. Dida should leave too, he earns way too much (although i happened to see some highlights of his best seasons, and boy was he good)... i'd give emerson another chance, now that he might not have injuries - the others have been here for a while, and frankly havent been so great.
We will indeed lack in depth if we do a massive clean out, however check this out:
Simic out - Darmain in (he has already been promoted): chances are they will never play anyway - so i'd rather have a primavera player earning less than 1million than Simic earning about 2 million. Darmian also seems to have great potential, so we could test him often (if possible, esp. regarding Carletto).
Favalli and Brocchi out - 2 youth players in: we have gotten Flamini to replace him - so he will be the one jumping in for Gattuso (or rotating), so Brocchi wont even play (unless Carlo has serious issues). So either just get rid of him (for salary) or replace him with a youngster. I have nothing against Favalli as a player, he is a classic, but his wage is just disproportional.
we have sold/loaned out many of our most promising youngsters, albeit... so i dont know how far this will work.Since we cannot buy, lets atleast add depth with young players (even though the previously mentioned makes this complicated). we must cleanse out these overpaid players. maybe we replace them with just as technically gifted (or ungifted :p) younger players, but atleast they will not drain on our money.
optionally, we could opt for some good players of mid-table clubs - where we most definately will be able to compete (unlike in europe as Galliani said).
If we arent going to get those big star players, at least add depth to the squad (with less famous players) and get rid of those overpaid players - so we can get a good position this season and have some cash for the next season. (in the CL, hopefully)

dida blocking his transfer to lyon or brazil just disgusted me. he blocked it cause he more content sitting on bench here. than taking a pay cut and playing
