Ceceves: As far as that is concerned I'd go for it. Ronaldinho I'm a bit iffy about, but I'm totally sold on Eto'o. Milan should go for him if Barcelona off-load him in order to make room for Adebayor. It is probably a good idea that we did indeed wait. I do think that Ronaldinho would rather prefer Milan over Man City... I'd be totally fine if Milan gets both players...

I read Bronzetti's comments, though I doubt we'll get both Dinho and Eto'o, I think it'll be one or the other (if Adebayor goes Barca of course).

There's not enough movement or creativity from them, as a pairing they are unfortunately too 1 dimensional.

Even though it's a semi tedious link, i'm quite happy with the Arshavin reports
No doubt imo that Zambro will be a starter as our fullbacks couldn't have been worse last season. Flamini I think depends a lot on how quickly he adapts (which I think will take longer than Zambro). That said, I hope to see both as regular starters.

Secondly I think Zambrotta will play RB while Jankulovski will be kept as starting LB. Oddo and Antonini will be their backups. Bonera will shift back to CB as sub for Nesta/Kala and Paolo will be a sub as well. The rest is fine I guess.
At this point as I said above I think it'll be based on how quickly Flamini adapts. Ambro is the starter for me mostly as he's most in form and settled at Milan, but like I said to Jim, I hope Flamini will find his spot soon enough.

As for Zambrotta, I really hope to see the starters I listed. Bonera was fantastic at RB at the end of last season and has totally merited that spot. On the other hand Oddo has been awful and Janku was injured half the season, and when he did play he was a defensive liability and couldn't cross (I wasn't too impressed with him in the CL winning season either). Personally, I'd much rather see Janku used in his more natural role as a midfielder, coming off the bench to add width if necessary (similar to Abate but on the left).

If Bonera does shift to CB, then I would start him ahead of Kaladze, as he's been much more impressive in the last couple of years.

Well I hope that this is true and happens. Because if it does, it would build a serious attacking force, and a serious drive for the Scudetto.

While I expressed concerns about how Ronaldinho's form is, if we can do the double buy and get the price lowered, I would be totally for both players coming to Milan. It would be a great birthday present if both would go to Milan... heheh... well probably not in time for June 25th.

If we had to pick one, I'd really prefer Milan to pick Eto'o as he is the kind of forward we need. Even with that said, we still need one more attack oriented midfielder.

I think either way we are on the right path here. And I still Arshavin should be for Milan as well... I hear he made his decision to leave Zenit...

Even though I have not finish all the posts, I must stop here and reply what u had been saying. JM is a much better coach than Carlo. Yes, Carlo won 2 CL with Milan and JM won once in Porto. But may I point out that JM never lose a game bc of tactics or in game decisions but Carlo did.

Remember the painful lost to Deportivo 5 years ago. For the whole season, we did not allow an opponent to score more than 3 goals, and only once against Udinese did we allowed 3 goals, but that game was after the trip to Tokyo. Ofcourse these stats did not include Coppa games. At that time, Cafu, Nesta, Maldini and Dida were at top of their games, Kaka and Rui Costa were destroying everyone in midfield, not to mention Pirlo, and Seedorf was actually running up and down the field. Then there is someone call Sheva who scores like crazy for us. Yet, in a game that Deportivo MUST score 4 goals to advance, they did just that. To be thats the second most costly mistake Carlo did in his career in Milan. He should have made subs, yelled out more def. tactics and really did something that prevent Deport from scoring 4 goals, but he did not. NOw, I am pretty sure if JM or any other manager at that level was in that situation, he would never let Depor score 4 goals.
Well, at the end of that year we won Series A, thus people forgot about that mishap. We could have been both CL and Series A champ but we did not.
Anyhow, then you would have thought that Carlo learned his lessons from the previous year but he did not. The game against Pool was byfar the worst game Carlo coached in his life. Yes, you could blamed the players for being arrogant after the first half, but isn't the coach job to tell the players the game still have 45mins to go????? Well the rest is history. Just imagine, if Carlo did not made those mistakes, Milan would have been 3 peat CL champs.

Pls do not say Carlo is a better coach than JM, b/c a coach like JM would never allow his team to lose a game which the other team need to score 4 goals to win or let another team come from behind from 3-0 in the final match.

Jose Mourinho never lost a game because of tactics? I'm sure you mistakenly wrote that. He lost many games because of his tactics... in fact that's why his Chelsea was repeatedly dumped out of the champions league early. The guy had the tendency of making too many changes at half time and that caused imbalances in the team. He even did that when things were going right.

I remember that game against Deportivo and how painful it was. However, Carlo Ancelotti made up for that since then and has carried Milan to two CL titles... it would have been three have not been for that mistake against Liverpool, that was also corrected two years later. Ancelotti I'm sure has learn a lot since that game against Deportivo.

I will say it and continue to say it over and over again. Jose Mourinho is overrated and never carried Chelsea to a single CL final. Carlo Ancelotti on the other hand carried us to three finals, two CL trophies, and several semi-finals. While he could do better domestically, Carlo is FAR BETTER than Jose Mourinho in every sense.

But here you are harping on about a game that happened five years ago, and you do not take any notice of what happened since then. Yes Milan has had their painful times, but they have had far many more great glorious times in the past six years. Including vengeance against Liverpool I waited two years for.

Carlo Ancelotti... better two time CL champions... than be with Jose Mourinho and win no CL titles.

Also, I don't understand why people are complaining about the market so far. It's only the 21st of June and we have brought some players to the club. Whether they were on a free, or co-owned, or promoted from the youth academy makes no difference because they are here now but weren't untill May.

So many people wanted some youth injected in the squad and now that the management is doing that people are still complaining. Let's be real, we can't get the best young players of the world every summer. We did that last year with Pato and this year we have brought Abate and Antonini back to strengthen our Italian as well as Milanese character. I think it's great that we are doing this as I would rather have Abate, Antonini and Darmian on the bench and improving then having old Serginho, Cafu or Simic.

When was the last time we had one of our own come up and do something great on the field. I know Paloschi did something similar this year and it felt incredible. Abate and Antonini had solid seasons. They weren't the best players in their teams but they are surely two of the brightest talents in Italy. Let's give them a chance to shine, grow and develop. You never know what happens and we might just be looking at a new Maldini, Baresi, Donadoni etc.

The team's average age has so far been drastically lowered with the introductions of Abate, Antonini, Flamini in place of Serginho, Cafu. Gourcuff is on loan and he will have his chance to shine and develop before he is possibly taken back.

All I'm saying is let's be patient and enjoy the summer. I know that Galliani is talking too much crap and it's even pissing me off (I'm very calm and patient). I think he should just do his job and stop talking crap.
In any case there are another 2+ months of open mercato and plenty of players available (or at least would be willing to transfer out of their clubs)
Barca has said that Eto, Dinho, Deco will leave before the 14th of July because they don't want them in their preseason camp. Adebayor and Drogba are still up in the clouds while we are looking at some rummors about Arshavin.......and Pavlychenko, Mutu might be available as well.I am sure we will sign one of all these players. Add that to Zambrotta, Flamini, Abate, Antonini, Boriello, Abbiati?, Darmian....and you have a decent mercato.

Stay calm people. It's summertime. Go grab a beer and relax.

Sorry for the long post! I'll keep it shorter next time.
I think most people are piss not b/c of players not coming in but the fact that the MGT had been lying to us for the past few years about signing Mr. X or they are 180% ours....and then come out and say they are too expensive, we are poor, we don't have money..... Then how did they ever come up with 180%? Pls tell me which team MGT does that?
Pls don't say it is smokescreen.... b/c I don't buy that for one second.
If Milan really want to keep signing their target a secret, just don't say anything, but instead we kept hearing Galli goes off this and that....just shut up and do your job like all the others GM of big clubs.
I can understand Calderon or Laporta coming out and say we will sign so and so, b/c they do need the votes to stay as president, but Galli does not need that, so why is he doing that? And at the end Laporta and Calderon do sign players and some of them are expensive purchase, they will never come out and say their clubs are too poor to get those players, they will just say the other teams don't want to sell.

Oh you're right. I was thinking of the CL title before that year... the final with Juventus - Milan. Either way, there is a lot more successful behind Ancelotti than there is Mourinho. My overall point stands.

Even with Dinho and Eto, I still don't think we can catch Inter for the title. It will be a huge step forward, but we still need a better Keeper and more depth at the back

What do you think we're doing? Sheesh, what do you all day? Just complain?

We brought in five players so far... and I think with Eto'o at least we can contend for the title. If you look at the statistics I don't see why Barcelona should still hold onto him... he hasn't played as many matches as he used to (but even when he does he scores consistently).
