Uncle fester will talk about what a great player and champ he is when he's 30.

His price will be 10 times what it is now and at the end we'll be in a worse financial condition than we are now and will haggle and lose to Barca cause he was too expensive for us.

I hope Ancelotti does want Arshavin and he puts his foot down this time and says to Galliani and co "look, i wanted Ribery and you didn't get him and now see how good he is. This time i want Arshavin and you WILL get him"

Show some balls Carlo and make them buy the Russian. Kaka & Arshavin would be a killer combination. Shame some people didn't listen to Oksana & Tony when they first mentioned him.

I really hope Carlo and out Management listen to you Jim. Even though he has bad temper, I would love to have a fighter like him in our team.

I would take both of them along with R10 then the "Transfers" mission will end in a best way

I sincerely think that we shouldn't move for R10 now.

drucurl will become famous soon enough
Andrei Arshavin looks nowhere near the talent of Ronaldinho
Having said that he is a FANTASTIC player and has something I question daily about R10....hunger!! This guy looks to have a Pippo like Mentality...only that his skills match his brilliance......THAT and the fact that he looks to be very very pacy....looks to be a perfect fit Oh and for a forward he is THE BESt passer I have seen for a long long time..the precision, vision and decisionmaking is simply breathtaking.

We need a first striker. Arshavin would be useless and would cost like Adebayor and Drogba together. Russian football is three times richer than italian.

Both good points, we still do need a top striker to put those passes away. Arshavin currently gets a good wage of around £50,000 a week at Zenit and will likely command a decent rise when he moves in the summer. One of the things that makes us so 'poor' and unwilling to spend allot on a transfer is our huge wage bill, something which we should look to address sooner or later.

The prospect of Arshavin, Kaka, Pato and a net busting striker up front is simply mouth watering.

Don't you think we need an attacking midfielder? Seedorf and Kaka get tired in the latter stages of games and during the end of the season. It would be even better if Arshavin started in front of Seedorf. If we don't have a good attacking midfielder then the first striker will also have problems scoring goals.

Money matters:
Kerzhakov (a decent player) transferred to Sevilla for 7 million euros. In the following article, almost none of the transfer fees are in double digits.
http://www.betinf.com/russia_transfer.htm

So, at the most his transfer fee would be around 15 million euros. It is still a lot of money for our club to pay but he, along with Kaka, would be very deadly. Also, didn't we just pay 10 million euros for Boriello?

As per these articles, Arshavin's salary is 50000 pounds (or 63000 euros) per week plus big bonuses. It is the highest in the Russian League

http://www.theherald.co.uk/misc/print.php?artid=2353637
(Both articles were published in July 2008)

I don't know why in the world we wouldn't want to match that salary level. According to our wage brackets, Nesta, Seedorf, Pirlo and Gattuso earn around 75000 euros a week. Arshavin can certainly fit into that bracket.

Berlu is pretty friendly with Russians, if he can use his influence, Arshavin's transfer to Milan would become even more easier. Also, he wants to leave Zenit too.

Spectacular stuff from Arshavin tonight. Yesterday we were linked with him for the first time (I think) and now it seems everybody wants him here. Don't get me wrong, I'd love it if he did come (at least as opposed to getting noone) but I'd still go for Ronaldinho. First of all Ronnie is simply a better player. Arshavin like tonight is world class, but Ronaldinho in form (think 2005) sets new standards for what is world class. Of course the problem is bringing back the real Ronnie. Some might say he's past it, but he's only 28 and I sincerely believe he can be at least close to what he was (which is still pretty good) since the physical training here is far beter than that at Camp Nou.

Also Arshavin might very well be harder to purchase than Ronaldinho. His price will rise vastly after the Euros, plus Zenit wants to be in the 'top 3 clubs of the world' (!) and don't want to sell him. Ronaldinho, on the contrary, wants to leave and Barca want to sell him (fickle as they are). Plus we're still his preferred destination, which we can't say with Arshavin. Furthermore Ronaldinho is only a year older than Arshavin, has an EU-passport (unlike Arshavin) and his name alone is still worth millions so our apparently frail economy would benefit (of course we shouldn't sign a player because of that but it's a nice bonus).

No, i don't think we need an attacking midfielder, cause we are short of moneys and all we must collect is for a great first striker. I prefer to solve our lack of strikerforce upfront and cover other positions.
And what about Pato ?

Arshavin now is easily around 30 M if not more.
Like it or not, times have changed in Milan. Now we must do it all by our own finances, and Berlu will put only some x moneys per year.
