Spain's been in control of the match so far...their midfield has maintained majority of ball possession. The ref's been slightly in favour of the Italians though. I swear I don't see the point of Perrotta playing AM though...has he even had one good performance this Euro ?

And reversely: go to a high profile league like Serie A would be a fantastic plus in terms of image for a player like Arshavin.

I think the Italians are far from happy with their performance so far, defensively they have been rock solid and limited the Spanish to longdistance shots, but the same problem upfront remains as Toni is very isolated upfront and has no teammates to hold the ball up for and must always take on 3-4 opposition defenders by himself. Cassano has been impressive and Ramos really has no control on his former teammate, while De Rossi and Chiellini have been solid so far aswell.

But above all it was boring game so far. Thanks for negative football showed by Italians side. Spain was a better side from the first half performance. And Andy Gray just a failed creature made by God. Italians must did something to his life. Stupid things spelled from his mouth against Italians !!

LOL How bad has Toni been this tournament ? He must be the only person who could play so bad yet start every single game. It's simply ridiculous!

Spain deserved it? I don't know about whether they deserved going through. Like some of the players said, this is a 50-50 game and spain made it.

And once again, this shows just so how important Pirlo is to Milan, and to Italy. I am almost positive that with Pirlo today Italy will have a bigger edge.

Pirlo can only blame himself for getting that stupid yellow card that he should not have gotten...

If Pirlo played we would have controlled the game better... Pirlo is probably blaming himself right now. But Spain played like crap out there too... they are one of the sides most guilty of wastefulness.

i dont think spain were that much better, but this italian team had nothing on the team that won the world cup. There was no spark, and no real drive to win games. The only word i can think to describe italys squad, attitude and gameplay in the euros is grey.
