How about Hernanes?
This whole thing is really irritating. At the end of the day, I hope we do get Adebayor... but I was really hoping this would be clear cut. But I guess anything involving Wenger is never that way. I really think maybe we should just get Diogo from Portuguesa... Last edited by Giancarlo; 27-06-2008 at 13:01. |

If we don not solve "Seedorf" issue next season we will have big problems during the long year. Seedorf is absolute top class player but he is no longer capable of playing 40 games per season. Seedorf now needs to be used Rui Costa was, for quality and not quantity. The season will be long and we will play UEFA ( on THURSDAY's!), sundays and coppa. There will be a lot of games and Kaka', Ronaldinho and Seedorf can all be used rightly. not overused like this year ( Kaka' and Clarence ). If we play Seedorf for 40 games again he will produce nothing, the same he did in most of his games this year. He has been playing pro football since he was 16, its normal.
Ronaldinho is absolutely the most talented player alive ( only ronaldo Luis Nazario da Lima the Great has more feel, but he has no knees...). Playing Ronaldinho-Kaka'-Pato is enough attacking power for any imaginable team, in any case. Or problem is that Pato is still only a boy, Pippo is 35 and boriello is not good enough for Milan, next season will show it - again.

Mixed messages over Adebayor's Arsenal pledge
Updated: June 27, 2008, 11:03 AM ET * Comment Emmanuel Adebayor's future at Arsenal - and a possible move to AC Milan or Barcelona - looks set to be decided next week. Adebayor and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger have been in Austria this week for the latter stages of Euro 2008 but the pair have not spoken yet, with discussions due next week. 'I have three-year contract with Arsenal but I have a lot of clubs interested in me,' said Adebayor on Sky Sports News. 'At the moment we are just going to sit down and talk next week and decide what to do. At the moment I have a three-year contract at Arsenal and I have a lot of clubs interested in me.' When asked if he could still go to Milan, he said: 'We will decide next week.' There were mixed messages from the 24-year-old Togo striker when he attended a function for manufacturers adidas. He did insist at a press conference, 'I'm staying at Arsenal', but then told broadcasters his future will be decided next week on his return to London. Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf believes Adebayor has already made up his mind. He told Setanta Sports News: 'When I spoke with him I said 'I'm waiting for you'. Let's see what will happen. 'He already said he would come, but it depends now on Arsenal. 'If he leaves Arsenal, it's a done deal. He comes to Milan.' Whatever the outcome, Adebayor insists money would never be a motivating factor if he were to move clubs. Arsenal would stand to make a substantial profit if they were to sell the striker that netted 30 goals for them last season, and Adebayor himself would also expect to see his wages increase. However, the former Monaco striker said: 'When I was young I had a dream to be a good footballer and play for a big team. 'I was born in Togo so I never cared about playing for money, my happiness was to play to enjoy myself. That's what I've been doing until now. 'You can see people changing clubs because of money, because they want a change of atmosphere or to get their names in the big leagues. I just play football to enjoy myself. I play because I love it.' While his situation may change when he meets Wenger, Adebayor has revealed his determination to win a trophy with the group of players Wenger has put together. He said: 'You have a chance to play in a team where everyone is between 21 and 26 years old, we are all the same generation. We all have the same ideas, we go out together after games to restaurants. 'We all have the same ideas and we all want to achieve something. We have a good boss, which is Arsene Wenger, he tries to bring this atmosphere to the dressing room where we feel like brothers and like family. 'Those are the reasons that gives us a chance to play the football we play. We play good football, now we look forward to winning trophies.' One of Arsenal's family could be starting in the Euro 2008 final, should Luis Aragones choose to field Cesc Fabregas in place of the injured David Villa. Adebayor said: 'Whenever Cesc has been given a chance to come in he has shown his character and his good personality. He showed what we know about him - he's calm on the ball, he took the last penalty and scored it in the quarter-final. 'He has a coach who has to make a decision, he is the person who knows why Cesc starts on the bench. I would love to see him start at the beginning of the game. 'The coach has his own reason and the most important thing is that when he comes in he plays good football.' --soccernet |

Galliani must be rubbing off on Adebayor, now he's spouting all sorts of nonsense. Whatever you want to call it, negotiating, smoke-screen, lowering the price...it just all is looking really desperate. One second Ade says yes to Arsenal, an hour later it's up in the air?! Galliani is now bringing us into "International disrepute"!
On a sidenote: Man City got Jo for 19 million pounds. Last edited by jtelly; 27-06-2008 at 13:15. |

Adebayor Said He’s Joining – Seedorf Milan star Clarence Seedorf claims that Emmanuel Adebayor has told him that he will be joining the Rossoneri this summer. * * Print This Story * Send To A Friend * Contact Us Adebayor Said He’s Joining – Seedorf galleria zoom * * * It has been one of the long-running on-off transfer sagas of the summer, and Emmanuel Adebayor’s possible move from Arsenal to Milan has taken yet another twist. The Togolese hitman has been strongly linked with a summer move to both Milan and Barcelona, and the Italians in particular have made no secret of their desire to bring him to San Siro. Earlier today Adebayor appeared to have ended all the transfer speculation when he pledged his immediate future to the Gunners. "Yes of course [I am staying], I have three more years contract so whatever happens I have to stay. I am staying at Arsenal," he declared. However in a sensational turnaround, just an hour later, Adebayor then stated that there was a chance he could leave. "I am footballer, I have a three-year contract at Arsenal but as you know, a lot of clubs are interested in me," he told Sky Sports News. "At the moment we are just going to sit down and talk and decide what to do. Nothing has been decided yet. We will decide next week." Also earlier today, Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani appeared to pull out of the race to sign Adebayor when he said that the Rossoneri were planning for “a Milan with Ronaldinho and without Adebayor.” However, Rossoneri midfielder Clarence Seedorf has now sensationally claimed that Adebayor has told him that he will in fact be joining Milan. “When I spoke with him I said ‘I’m waiting for you’," Seedorf told Setanta Sports News. “Let’s see what will happen. They’re [the press] talking about Adebayor and (Didier) Drogba. It’s not concrete, it’s a lot of talk. He’s a great player and he will definitely be important if he comes. “He already said that he would come, but it depends now on Arsenal if he stays there otherwise he comes to Milan.” The transfer soap opera continues… Anthony Sormani ----------------------------- Geez. whats there strategy, confuse everyone? and hope arsenal/barca sign wrong papers w/ lower prices?!

I already posted that article, milan084... it is confusing.
I hope there is some resolution on this, so there won't be any more confusion. Whether Adebayor signs or not, I want this resolved. |

There was a comparison between Ronaldo & Messi (you know how the media love to do these idiotic head to heads) when their teams met in the CL. Both had scored the same amount of goals (5 i think) but it took Ronaldo 3 times as many shots! Dru, are you officially in mourning now Quaresma has (according to Portugese press) joined Inter? Nevermind mate, maybe he'll join the list of players leaving Inter for Milan ![]()
