I am not his fan but what I've seen from this tournament, he is still deserved to play as first GK for Germany. We all know how bad Germany's defence. If its not because of Lehmann, maybe Germany had already went out from the tourney after the last group match against Austria (of couse I dont mean here that he is the most decesive player but he is still one of the decesive players for Germany in this tourney.)

By the way, these days are also very hot here. The best hair cut for summer IMO is a very short hair-cut (not until bald ). When you are taking shower or when its windy , it feels that there is something very comfortable creeping over your head.

Well I think his performance in the 2006 World Cup was far superior to anything he has produced since. His performance in the Italy/Germany semi-final was almost spotless (the Del Piero goal could have been handled a bit better on his part, but that's debatable).

Germany needs better defenders than Hertesacker and Fredrich... I don't know who these guys are. Germany are just lucky that's what I think.

Well I do have a short hair cut now... kinda mohawkish... I don't want to have hair as long as Andrea Pirlo or Carlo Puyol has... i usually spike it up, but if I left it alone to grow it would get that long. And it's awful when it's too long... sweaty and bad... when I used to play as a midfielder, I always kept it short...

Why do you call Rustu an incompetent Goalkeeper? How long have you followed this game? He was one of the best turkish players during WC 2002. Rustu played 118 caps for turkey he plays with Besiktas and played for Barcelona and Fenerbace. I don't rate him extremly high, but to call him incompetent is simply not true. I agree he made a big mistake and he is definately over his peak but you might aswell call Ceh an incompetent goalie for that incredible mistake he did.

Lehman is in my opinion a decent goalie nothing more nothing les, and I must agree that I don't understand why he is still the German number one. But I don't agree that a goalie should be finished of becoz of one mistake I mean Buffon almost made the howler of the tournament? He was lucky that it just went against the post. What if it got in? Would it mean that we start to bash the player that we today think to be the best Italian player of the tournament? It's a very fine line between being a hero or the schmuck

You are right Dev but I just said that to prove a point to people that said that Germany just was lucky to pas to the next round. If you take luck as a factor you should overview the entire tournament and not just one game.

I think Fabregas is very good, the fact he is benched is only a reflection of how good spains bench really is. He has it all in my opinion and he is still very young. I would be very happy if milan got him but that's not going to happen if he ever leaves aresenal he will go back to spain.

I'm talking purely about this tournament, and not the past. You need to understand that and yes I do know a fair share about goalkeepers. I don't know much about Rustu and I will admit that, but the veteran made errors he shouldn't have. Maybe incompetent was too hard a word to use, but "past his best" is better.

Again I know quite a bit about goalkeepers, and I know full well about Lehmann and what he has done in recent years. I also stated he was quite good in the 2006 World Cup... but, his timing and abilites have faded significantly since then. Buffon is a superb keeper even with that mistake... but he did not make many mistakes like that. Lehmann on the other hand made quite a few mistakes.

I'm not bashing players. I simply don't think some here have ground to stand on.

You ask why Lehman is the GK of Germany ?
Simple reply: experience + some crisis in GK position in Germany (tell me one good young GK there ? lol). It's also why Kahn was the #1 GK in Germany for so many years ...

I have to say that I will support Germany in the final.

On WC in Japan our fans had a song "chant" that was taken out of some normal pop song and they decided to sing it untill croatia scores. We scored in 2nd half of our 2nd game ( italy-Croa 1:") It took a lot of singing to do before Croatia scored.

I think you're right on Spain, rico. If they produce the performance they did against Russia they should beat Germany 2-0 I think. Carlos Puyol must do a good job defending (and he has improved greatly the last few games)... Marchena is still an area of concern... I hope he steps it up the last game and pours his heart into it. Spain must focus on defending against set pieces where Germany is rather strong.

Yeh, and you know that becouse papers wrote about it. Papers write everything. There was NEVER any fights, racist chants ( NEVER! ) or flags and so on....in any euro or WC while Croatia was playing. Opposite to England and some German "fans" who bring shame to every WC and Euro they play in.

Italy's fans were a joke, French also, Germans show up in semi final to sit and watch the game untill they score...Turkey has like 60 mln people and - almost nothing. Holland takes whole stadium and the outcome - silence. Real fans didnt get the tickets and the tickets were overpriced and sold to wrong people. But, my compliments go to Russian fans, they were great.

Forza Germany? I sure hope not. Now there is a team that shouldn't be in the final, in my opinion.

Spain has actually made an effort to look impressive this campaign, while Germany's defense... man, if Fredrich and Mertesacker play the same way they did against Turkey, the trophy is going back to Spain. Germany's defense is quite poor.

The italian fans weren't great, but at the end of the day, the chant when the teams enter, and that every other nation has used (Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes) was introduced to the world of football by them in 06', so if they weren't great this time around it's ok.

Always thought I was the only one who thought that way. But I doubt Germany will do it...but, hey Germany is Germany, there's a reason they are the most successful european NT, and have reached the first places in the last 2 WCs, NEVER write them off.

Its not a coincidence Germany is AGAIN in the latest stages, we all need to respect it. 90'-world champs...96-euro champs...98'-quaters ( a great "failure" of German football! WOW! If only my country has such failures oftenly ), 2002 ( everyone said Germany is week, Spain is good, England is great ,bla,bla...) - Germans play the final and loose, but without Ballack and has unsigned penalty at 0:0...2006-3rd. And all the time people say they are not good - they are more then good.

Spain cannot be compared to Germany, Italy...its the same story as it is with England, too much talking, none of the trophys. Maybe this time, who knows. But my support will go to the Germans becouse of their fighting spirit.
