Sorry but i don't see Modric as anything like Gerrard, especially in terms of physical ability. All playmakers see alot of the ball in lots of different areas of the pitch as they look to orchestrate attacks, doesn't mean they can play all the positions they find themselves in as good as someone else. Likewise i wouldn't say Gerrard has the close control/dribbling skills Modric has.

It's not even about accomplishments with club/national teams or which league they play in, i just don't think you should compare the two.

Anyway, please show to another comment by not calling them idiots, even though I know that you were surely hurt when someone said Hrvatska >>> England to someone from UK. We're all Milan fans at all.
When such arguments are worthy discussions and not just cheap shots at my country then maybe i'll pay these people some respect.

Can't believe Spain are lifting the cup..should have been Cannavaro. Torres' first good game in a while.

Btw..
Hrvatska >>> England
Seedorf >> Gerrard
boriello >>> Torres
French La Ligue 1 >>> EPL

Anyone else agrees?

partially disagree. Should be Ballack.

chill down.
Totally disagree.
Hrvatska never won a single championship, let alone World Cup while England won it once and England is a country with great football tradition (okay subjective opinion, I've been and still an England fans since long before I supported Milan).
And while I am a Milan fans for years, I'd trade Seedorf for Gerrard anytime.
Same with Borriello and Torres.
And I am wondering in what aspect does Ligue 1 >>>EPL.

Maradona wasn't slim when he led Napoli and Argentina to win everything.

No one double teams people on Genoa so Boriello scores goals. When people close down against Milan, Boriello will shrivel up again. Adebayor scored most of his goals against weak teams and had long stretches of disappointing performances.

Huntelaar may not play in the best league, but he has skills and continues to score consistently. He's young, talented, plays smart, tall, and can develop further. I cannot say that about Adebayor except for maybe the tall part.

Disappointly, someone posted the same thing you said and applied it to Torres a few years ago. Why Milan didn't take that risk either, I'll never know. Abbiati could have been part of the deal.

IMHO, Adebayor is just a smokescreen. I don't think Milan will really go through with it. They want Ronaldinho (who also wants Milan) but they need the price to drop. Personally, I'd rather not go with Ronaldinho either, but we're talking about Berlu's wishes, not mine.
do you watch adebayor? He is the most technical striker of all the one we target. he has the best first touch in my opinion. better than drogba, eto'o, huntelaar etc.
If you r going to knock him, he does miss alot of shots..... so do alot of strikers.... i really dont think of ade as a pure targetman like rvn or inzaghi. he is more talented though....
sometimes talent isnt all that matters though. if so anelka would have been a star, not henry. but to your point u can knock adebaor on alot of things, but not his technical ability

Gomes Signs for Spurs

I thought there was a time in the past few months when Milan really wanted Gomes of PSV. Whatever happened to that interest?

Why are you even trying to compare the two players? I thought you were supposed to be some football expert but here you are comparing an all round central midfielder in Gerrard with an attacking midfielder who is more like Deco or someone of his ilk. Makes no sense. Croatia don't have anyone close to Gerrard and England don't have anyone close to Modric, it's like comparing Deco with Yaya Toure, you just wouldn't do it unless you were just desperate to prove a ridiculous point.

I forget how many games Vieira played for Milan but it was only a handful at the most. So it's not like he had a chance to be successful with us.
Jim I was joking (partially). Why are you always so hostile with me? I was not joking about Croatia being better than England currently, though obviously England will bounce back. And I don't have to look far back to support my opinion there either. Check the last two qualifiers between the two. I think Modric has better ball skills than Gerrard, but I was just using mrki's point and having some fun. Overall, Gerrard is a more accomplished player. My post was slightly facetious, but your reaction was over the top.

Vieira played 2 games with us, but my point was for whatever reason he didn't hack it. Maybe we have to blame our coaching for that, or the fact that Vieira just wasn't that good back then and developed later. Either way, what I was trying to show Giancarlo was that his logic was suspect IMO.

Cheers man. ----->
