I liked Lobont when he was playing for Fiorentina..the only reason he left was because Frey was ahead of him. I think he is very, very good. Not better than Dida/Kalac right now, but maybe in a few years.

But one question, since when is it Ancelotti who travels around the world speaking to players agents? I would understand if he attended a game to see the player (just like how he came here to Montreal last year to watch Pato). Shouldn't it be Braida or Galliani doing that?

perhaps braida and galliani r traveling to other locations lowballing people and making public statements about how we cant afford people

I agree, it's hard to imagine Arsenal signing someone of Eto'o's caliber. And Inter, well do they really need another centerforward, I mean (unless they sell one or two) they already have Ibra, Cruz, Crespo, Suazo + Adriano back + Balotelli, who's ready to play more. It would really be TOO much if they added Eto'o to that list (even if they sold, like, Suazo and Crespo), and we just got Adebayor (BIG mistake, IMO).

Man Utd might go for Eto'o, if they sell Ronaldo to Real Madrid. And Speaking of Real Madrid, they would never, ever sign Eto'o. First of all, they already had him (when he was young), second of all Barca wouldn't sell to Madrid (especially not someone like Eto'o, who could be the best striker in the world again), third and final, Calderón wouldn't go for him because their fans hate him due to some statements he made prior to el Clásico a few years ago (3-0 Barca win at the Bernabeu!), and then also when they won the league later that year, for which he (Eto'o) was fined.

I personally don't think we'll get both R10 and Eto'o from Barca, and since Ronaldinho looks pretty likely to come true, I'm thinking no Eto'o for us. It's not because I think the two of them hate eachother, I just have a feeling Barca won't wanna sell their two best players over the last four years to any one club, or maybe it would just be too good to be true.

I used to think (until a week or so ago) that we were bound to sign a target man striker, but now I'm less sure about it. In fact I'm making myself familiar with a 4-3-2-1 formation with Dinho and Kaká behind Pato, though I wouldn't say I'm warming to the idea (as much as I've hoped for Ronaldinho to come), and still hope for some more strength up front, as well as in defence and, of course, between the sticks.

Also, I'm getting tired of hearing Seedorf saying: "Ronaldinho is no good for us because we have many other players for the same position". [This was a direct quote on goal.com, though it didn't say from what source.] I can't believe this guy! What attacking midfielders do we have, Clarence? Kaká, you and...Abate? C'mon...

Comparing Antonini and Abate to Pato is . . . rude!!!

Pato is a player that has magic, those players ( abate and Antonini ) are just good players.

I didnt' say any of that. Seriously you're up to your usual no good and putting words in my mouth. I never said. I didn't think Milan fans could be so damn disrespectful. Portugal screwed up and Quaresma is overrated.

In other news, Carlo just gave an interview to the Jerusalem Times. He said that he was going to buy Adebayor, Dinho, Eto'o and Huntelaar and Quaresma. When asked how he would fit it into a formation, he said that he was no longer going to use the Christmas tree formation; from now on, he'll be using the Menorah formation, illustrated as thus:
