And Fabregas did play the all important final. I didn't say Quaresma is bad, but I'm saying Schweinsteiger is who we should sign... or even maybe Simao as you said. Why not?

simao is almost 29. quaresma is 24. I'm not a huge fan of quaresma btw, but he does have a ridiculous amount of POTENTIAL. And hes fast.

Cesc only started final because villa was hurt.

I like schweinstagger though. We probably wont get him though. Klinnsmann loves schweinny and podolski and will try hard to keep him.

btw podolski... ROCKET leg. I've been saying for a while, i like him

Our best chance for them was last year, when they both had a bench role at Bayern. Forget about them now. They're German and national heroes, they play with Bayern, they are in a good team and they get paid well. Why would they want to come to Uefa Cup Milan?

If they wanted Dinho or Dinho wanted them, I think Chelsea would've made a double swoop. It would probably be more expensive to buy both seperately than together. And I also cannot see why they would buy 2 attacking midfielders? Deco coming will probably result in Lampard leaving. But they still have so much talent on the midfield(Essien,Mikel,Joe Cole,Ballack,..) I really can't see Dinho in there as well. It will be bad enough with Deco alone.

abramovich has a ronaldinho boner, and an open checkbook. He's also been looking for a creative mid in mold of dinho, kaka, diego. Scolari also loves those players.... I think we'll see more and more changes. Remember scolari was in euros so he couldnt be active till now

If it's hasnt been answered, Romania is an EU member (the newest members with Bulgaria).

About Quaresma :

I dont think he would be much better than now. I am really impressed watching him playing in America with Barca against Milan but after that and left Barca I havent watched any special improvement from him for about 4-5 years since that match. He is fast but he doesnt have the agility and stability to be very fast but stable winger like Ronaldo, Giggsy or even Serginho . He has decent cross but he failed pretty often to deliver very good crosses when he should have done it, the point is his crosses are incosistent regarding the quality of his crosses. He has good long shot but stll not that good and again inconsistent. Sometimes he can do good longshot and sometimes his longshot is just terrible (not just bad). If we compare the longshot of Kaka or Wesley Schneider for example, Quaresma's longshot is still far way from Kaka or Wesley quality (the accuracy and th consistency).

I wont pay crazy money for such player.

About Schweinsteiger

I do think, he is not able to play as DM or in left CM (Seedorf's old-position). He doesnt have the ability to defend. His defensive skills is purely bad. The only way we can use him is when we play 4-4-2 formation and place him in the right winger. Maybe he can play behind a striker and beside Kaka but I dont think it will be optimal to use his ability in that position.

I would take Schaweinsteiger over Quaresma as Quaresma is incosistent espeically in importan matches. But again, I dont think Milan need this kind of player as we rarely use 4-4-2 formation.

^That right there sums up why I want him. He is potentially one of the best players in the world and on his day THE best. In times gone by CR7 looked up to him

I know that atm he isn't fulfilling his potential but neither were Seedorf and Pirlo at Inter (or anyone else for that matter ) Sometimes players need a clam environement where they can express themselves and though I'm not dogmatic about his success I trust Ancelotti to bring out the best in him

Even if he doesn't fullfil his true potential at milan, we'd have had a fast player who is skilled and adds width and takes fantastic free kicks and can play as an emergency striker....to me we had nothing to lose except his transfer fee. and HELL no Simao isn't better...more disciplined perhaps but nowhere near his talent OR speed. What Quaresma has not understood that CR7 has is that sometimes the simple, direct play is more productive than the fancy one. With his talent he should be scoring far more goals and racking up the assists...not everything has to be pretty

^^^ Is there ANYTHING simple and direct about CR7's play? I think you should have used maybe someone like Kaka...he'd be a better example.

during spain displays in euro 2008, i paid attention on iniesta performance at right midfield & sometimes switch with david silva (like in final against germany).
i think iniesta is one of the most suitable player outside who can play at the old seedorf role in the beginning carletto 4-3-1-2 scheme.
he is fluent for possession & delayed footbal but also good while dribbling or run withball for counter attack.
play well at both wing and decent while manage to play side to side or infront central midfielder
also not bad in defending

^^^ Yes he is but sadly I think he is unavailable and I'm sure will be unavailable for some time. He has a comfortable starting place in one of the best clubs in the world in his home country. I also think he came through Barca's youth system. I do agree that a player like him would fit well in that position.

Schweinsteiger can play defensively and does have traits to be a defensive midfielder. So yes he does have the ability to defend and his skills are quite good. But preferably his position is a more attack minded creative midfielder... but he can step and I've seen him do so during Germany's campaign. He's better than Lahm when it comes to defending, but just as good as it comes to attacking. Schweinsteiger could be important to fill in if one of our creative midfielders is injured.

i've been saying this almost as much as dru has gone off on quaresma! But eys to me he is barcas most versitile player. he played wing, support striker striker, center mid, and defensive mid for them.

anyway I dont think we will get that seedorf replacement till next season when im certain seedorf will probaly move on to ajax. But we pla so much better as a whole when u have a box to box cm next to pirlo who can pass, take on defenders, while still holding up his defensive responsibility.

its a shame really we should find this player now as seedorf does not have the legs to do it. if we did get this player. seedorf would sill get enough games between relieving kaka (dinho?), pirlo, and of course the side midfield position.

anyway for italian players, perhaps montolivo, aquilani (cigarini?) non-italians... joao moutinho, elano, iniesta, essien, deco, xabi alonso (wouldnt that be strange)...

someone i'm interested in alot of people ight disagree is julio baptista. he has so much potential and shows flashes of brilliance. he can defend as well as attack i really think ancelotti + milan could bring it out...

A few months ago i was used to read our team was old and we needed young guns. Now i read our new players are finally young, but unproven.
I think we can call this the "market neurosis".
There's always a reason for being unsatisfied.
Quote:
I'm glad we signed the older more experienced Zambrotta and also several other young Italians for our team. Abate and Antonini are not fringe unproven talents. That's utterly ridiculous! They are quality... but they happen to be Italian! I'm tired of this.. .these are finally some young players, and then suddenly you people jump on them! Why didn't you jump on Alexandre Pato or Kaka when there was word they were coming to Milan? AFter all, Pato only had what? ONE SEASON in a Brazil professional team...
...after a string of fine performances. He was famous. And I didn't see how Antonini could be said as quality when he is 26 and Lippi or even Donadoni didn't look at him at all. Abate... well I'll say he's better but same, he's not talented enough. We do need young squads, but even more than that, we absolutely need yong and good squad. When I mean good, that means GOOD, world-class, etc.

Quote:
I forget who on the form keeps bringing up Roque Santa Cruz.

What do you all think about him? Can he fill the shoes at our striker position or is he another Oliveira?
The latter, I think. He's not world class enough. If we play with a single striker, we do need more than quality players; we need world class striker. And I won't stop suggesting to buy Villa, if we can't land one of those three African strikers.

Quote:
Also, I'm getting tired of hearing Seedorf saying: "Ronaldinho is no good for us because we have many other players for the same position". [This was a direct quote on goal.com, though it didn't say from what source.] I can't believe this guy! What attacking midfielders do we have, Clarence? Kaká, you and...Abate? C'mon...
He feared that he'll lost his 'place' at first team, that's all... Or he's very satisfied with Abate's signing because he could really see Abate's real value as a quality young player... Don't you too?

Quote:
I never said that! Did I say that? Where did I say that? PLEASE FIND WHERE. I'D LIKE TO GOD DAMN KNOW. The most I said about is him is great to have a substitute.
Giancarlo, who said that you said that??? You looks like that you feel insecure every time other people spoke their opinions that was different than yours. Chill down, man... Relax...!

Quote:
He would like to come to Milan? Right. I'd much rather have Milan buy two proven talents, including Schweinsteiger (seemingly one of the only good German players yesterday), and Eto'o or Adebayor.

Seems like this is one of the things we should agreed together. I'm a big supporter of Schweinsteiger coming to Milan. I mean, who wouldn't want him? He's perfect. We wouldn't even need to buy Dinho then, IMO.

Some Italians are late bloomers... some players emerge later in their careers. It just happens to be that way. Not all stars emerge when they are young (Luca Toni is one of those). Abate is only 21 years old and has played in the Italy National U-21 Squad from what I hear. So how can you say that? We need some solid substitutes, because like it or not, we can't have an entire squad of super stars in every position. We need productive players. Juventus, Roma and even Inter have done what we are doing with our youth players. Juventus brought back two players... but I guess Giovinco is crap because he wasn't featured in the national team too.

I'm not saying that Antonini, Abate or Giovinco are world class. I'm saying they are great to have on the bench for domestic matches. We don't even need to use them for important games. It seems sometimes world class players that we already have are not taking certain games seriously. I think that Antonini would be a better substitute than say Favalli. Say with Seedorf... he is WORLD CLASS, but he's getting older and he can't play all the games against lower ranked teams. So why not have these players to play in these games instead of Favalli and Emerson or Brocchi lol?

We can't have, nor is it practical to have a team of all super-stars... because one that would be way too expensive and impossible to get.

Donadoni didn't call up quite a few of people I thought he should have... including an older 35 year old striker we all know about.

It's called making a character assumption on another person. It's ridiculous, petty and quite frankly not mature.

Schweinsteiger is nationally proven, with 15 goals from 56 games...

Okay Toni is an exception for me... Let's hope Antonini could do the same, because whether I like or not, he's in our team already.

Okay... I shall say the same... Let's see when he play for us.

We didn't have. We don't have enough. As far as I could see, we only have Nesta, Zambrotta, Gattuso, Pirlo, Kaka, and Pato, maybe Seedorf and Inzaghi, just add the list if you find me forgetting someone... And certainly we do need strong backup, but the backup is backup, they are there to back up the world-class first squad, which we don't have enough.

If you think I'm wrong, then maybe you could prove me wrong with several ways.
1. Stop insulting other people with rude remarks just like you did at almost your every post, including the part I highlighted.
2. Answer my last question. Who said that you said that thing about Antonini? Then if I found it reasonable I promise that I'll take back my assumption.

I don't really agree with this, but I think we should get back to the current transfer market (to mention opens on July 5th).

I'm not insulting people. If people insult me I will react and I have been insulted several times.

And I won't answer any of your questions when you have only responded to bits and portions of my post.
