i think the biggest difference is other top clubs have lots of competition at there positions.

example: ronaldinho at barca, but then young up and comer bojan pushing for spot. scholes at manUtd, but anderson pushing hard. nani behind giggs.

i'm just not seeing this as much at milan. we have inzaghi and borriello. brocchi behind gattuso. favalli behind janku. however wage wise, we pay more than everone! to this, management has made mistakes, and it is the core of every milan fans problem with the squad.
Everyone loves maldini and inzaghi... but reality is they wont play forever, but management isnt bringing in the caliber of player to learn from them/.... the way you see elsewhere

Then you have to wonder why. I've never been insulted here. I believe no Milan fans would insult eachother.

No. That's important. Some other people just said "If Antonini was in Italy squad then they will win Euro." then you suddenly said "DID I SAY THAT?". Of course not, buddy! You did not say that. And nobody said that you said that. So why you should be angered with that? It's unnecessarily self-defense.

C'mon man. We're in Milan forum. Let's make peace. And I apologized to others about this off-topic post, let's get back on track with this Summer Mercato topic.

edit: perhaps seedorf would perform more consistently if a young highly rated player such as joao moutinho (ust a name as an example) was pushing for his spot....i expect to see gattuso and ambro play alot better, because if they dont flamini will take there spot. (and i love that signing.... but we need more like it)

No I refuse to respond to any more of this. I will NOT answer you anymore because you choose to respond to only portions of my post and take things out of context. Good day. It was implied and that's a FACT.

Anderson just to note has had a pretty bad injury... I'm not sure what happened to him... but I've heard it was bad. I see that we are bringing a lot of our youth squad players to help them set them up for the future... and hopefully have a few future Azzurri stars.

Management is bringing in players that can learn from these older players... from at least my perspective. And heck even one Alberto Paloschi is learning from Inzaghi... I'm not sure if he'll stay with Milan next season or go on loan... but that boy is very skilled and I see great potential in him.

i really doubt you are Milan fans, i think you're Inter fans

I mean yes, Inter are buying quality players, but its really the team-work that counts not the players....

and the biggest proof is Hiddink's Russia..
ENOUGH.
Not kidding. Take back your GREAT INSULT.
This is the most insulting remark that I've ever had in my life: I WAS BEING CALLED INTER FAN!
I demand you to withdraw your remark, pal. Seriously I can't tolerate these. I am irritated. Seriously. Your comment about I'm being an Inter fan was intolerable and unacceptable and makes me very angry, seriously. You don't need to know how long I've been a great fans of Milan, which as much as I could remember was since about when Maldini start playing.

But in truth they bought better players at current time. It hurts me even more when I felt the need to say that! And I'll gladly agree that Quaresma and Lampard are worse than any of our new (current and whoever to-be) signings including Abate, Antonini, and Borriello when we won treble at the end of 2008-2009 season, which I'd be happily wait.

And for your comments aganist Quaresma: Kaka, before we signed him, was only proven in Brazilian league. Sheva, only in Ukraine and CL. Ronaldo was proven in almost every league and cup he was in, but yet he did nothing with us. Gilardino was amazing in Serie A, but same, he did nothing with us.

i'm just saying how his style of play & technical will be suit for carletto tactic to fill the old seedorf back to few years ago.
i know it's hard to grab him from barca til last season barca dealed to extend his contract last 2013 with buy-out clause around 120 mio.

anyway I dont think we will get that seedorf replacement till next season when im certain seedorf will probaly move on to ajax. But we pla so much better as a whole when u have a box to box cm next to pirlo who can pass, take on defenders, while still holding up his defensive responsibility.

its a shame really we should find this player now as seedorf does not have the legs to do it. if we did get this player. seedorf would sill get enough games between relieving kaka (dinho?), pirlo, and of course the side midfield position.

nowadays, for italian players i'll go for montolivo.
if someone ask 2 years ago, my answer will be deco
but all ini all with current condition, iniesta my 1st choice (unfortunately we can deal with it)

physically this guy is great. if you watched how he play in sevilla, you know how devastated this guy could be infront opponent goalie.
but as midfielder in old seedorf role, i think he has handycap in holding the ball to play posession football like we used to do otherwise has strong physic to complete our midfield section.

Forget Iniesta. His chances of leaving Barça was no bigger than the chances of Kaka leaving us. He's one of their most successful youth system product at the recent decades.

Montolivo would be suited well with us, I'm a great fan of him. For another available Italian players I could also see Cigarini, even though looks like we must beat Juventus at the race to get him. Aquilani would be hard to capture, he's in Roma, if we want to sign anyone from Roma however in my opinion it should be De Rossi though. Jeremy Toulalan from Lyon could potentially be good player also. Another possibilities for us maybe Sneijder (I don't know whether Madrid will let him go or not),

But my first option is still Schweinsteiger, as I said so many times before.

Yeah Iniesta isn't going anywhere... we should get Schweinsteiger before Juve tries to get him. If Juve does, that would really piss me off...

this guy easy to boom in 1 game then easily flop in next game.
he tend to push the tempo up where we dont used to do it as long as carletto in charge. also he's not fluent in holding on the game.
this guy definitely out of my head for our squad considering his style of play not to mention the price tag milan could splash for him

I respectfully disagree. From what I've seen he's demonstrated consistency while the rest of his team was lagging rather poorly. Even in that final, he was the biggest threat to Spain.

According to the magazines I read, Juve are trying to get Podolski and offload Iaquinta. Well, hope that they won't get into Schweinsteiger too, but I heard our rival (if we will even make a move) was Inter and they got Quaresma already, that means we're a sole contender now, the only problem is whether Bayern would let him go or not.

He held the entire Bayern midfield after Ballack left (and before Ribery came) and he was the only impressive German midfielder at Euro besides Ballack. And according to sources Milan are ready to splash about £21.5M for him, if I were in Bayern management then I'd let him go.
