There is a chance that Abramovic will back down on his decision and will let Sheva go on a free loan. Sampdoria manager Mr Marota might want to take him to the Blucheriati after the successful swoop of Cassano, but ofcourse it is Milan who can pay his high wage. I think at the end Abramovic will open the doors for Sheva's departure."

"Abate to Torino? The club has found an agreement. Today the negotiations for the final details of the contract will be concluded and I think there should not be any problems"

Sheva + Ronaldinho wouldn't be bad at all..just as long as they don't forget the other positions of the field.
I think Sheva would have something to prove... it may be costly to let him go on free loan though for Chelsea... I'd would have no problem seeing Sheva back. Of course I'd like to see someone younger...

On the same note, Milan if they do get Sheva on loan will probably come to some sort of agreement to pay a larger portion of the wages.

I wish the Abate to Torino deal falls through... I was eager to see him play..

I think the truth is in the middle. Berlusconi made what Milan is today, denying that is blindness. But there must be a change. That petition has some valid points because Milan fans can't pay for the involvment of Silvio in politics.

I hope Berlusconi will remain our president, but he must understand that being Milan president requires constant investment.

The only problem with that petition is that 650 signs aren't exactly representative of 8 Millions of Italian Milan fans.
giovanni, i read all your recent post with big interest as they offer a information you can't get outside italian media.

i don't think berlusconi is willing to sell milan, nonetheless is this petition a good idea. personally i don't have such a problem with milan not being able to pay 40 mio. euros for one player. the importance is to have a balanced team with the right spirit and we should not forget that we have a gamebreaker player in kaka (the question is for how long).

i think the problem is that we have the wrong coach for a situation like this. carlo does not really trust young players except they are outstanding talents like kaka or pato. this is perfectly legitimate but for milan this is imho quite a problem. expirienced players at top level (which carlo would need to build a great team) are the most expensive ones. so as he does not get those he settles for mediocre "old" players with experience instead of giving young guns a chance.

in theory we could play an attack like this next season:

Gila/Borriello/Inzaghi
Foggia/Antonini - Kaka/Seedorf - Pato/Abate

instead abate and foggia has/had to leave again, to me both are great talent and would surely be enough to break most serie a defences. there are plenty more players available like cigarini, bassi and many more i don't even know about.

i think both parties (milan and carlo) should have been honest enough and ended this (extremely succesful) marriage. last season would have been an opportunity for both to split with dignity and pride. now we may see a change of coach during the season which is something carlo does not deserve. i don't see this milan team finish top 2 and also the uefa cup will be extremely difficult to win with our current team.

apart from that what really annoys me is our communication strategy. why does galliani always have to talk about star players when he already knows that we can't afford them. that is unfair against the fans who buy season tickets in aspiration of those big names (last year was a case of that).

juve for example i assume (from watching their mercato) have comparable funds to us and they seem to be able to reach most of their goals because they never talk about silly signings like adebayor. to me their squad looks quite well already, i think they can give inter a run for their money.

I don't know about this player at all really. And I don't really think this is true...

He seems to be playing in lower ranked teams really.
It's true. We owned 50% of his contract - Inter owned the other half. The 13th of June we bought Inter's share in him.

The same day we also signed the goalkeeper Marco Varaldi (Inter also owned half of him).
Some of you might remember him from the plusvalenze-investigations.

Hmm interesting. Is he any good? Are either of them any good?

And I found something on this rather hideous website:

http://www.inter.it/aas/news/reader?N=29487&L=en

Riccardo Ceccarelli (defender) co-ownership AC Milan/Inter: solved in favour of AC Milan
Marco Varaldi (goalkeeper), co-ownership Inter/AC Milan: solved in favour of AC Milan

---

So that's corroborated...

Edit: They'll probably be loaned out again.

Very interesting idea. I think you are right at your core. Our strategy needs to change. We need to play the youth more. I want to believe carlo will play them, but he can only play the pieces he has. Yes he didnt play gourcuff... but the truth was, gorky wasnt that good. I personally would have still run him out more than brocchi or emerson, because in the long run its beneficial, but i really believe carlo attempted to put out line up to win, and if that meant emerson at 32, so biet.

The thing w/ abate is, milan project him at a wing-back, perhaps side midfielder (serginho-esque). The issue is we have players like janku and oddo who have big contracts. Its pointless to carry 4 RB (abate, oddo, bonera, zambro). So the issue is move atleast 1 of them. Bonera wouldn't go because he is improving and has versitilty in Central Defendse. Obviously not zambrotta. So that leaves oddo and abate. The problem is, no1 really wants oddo.... whi9ch is an overwhelming problem we have with alot of our squad. So the logical move is loan, get him games, get him better.

I used to blame carlo for all this, but really at the core it is Adriano Gallianis fault. He could have let favalli go, but he renewed.... if i'm incorrect same thing w/ brocchi? We could ahve replaced those peices w/ younger peices with more potential. (if they r going to be a backup, why not bring some1 u rate highly for the future....).

I do not see carlo as blameless. Ultimately he has to make his voice heard to the board more so. A coach with 2 champions league titles should get what he wants. Ferguson at ManUtd calls the shots. Granted he has 20 years and countless league titles, but behind him at ManUtd, i cant really think of a more tenured coach than Carlo (atleast w/ a top teir club).

so whoever is to blame, is pointless but change needs to be made. We need Milan to get younger. We need to fill the holes with HUNGRY players. Players who want to win, players who have pippo and maldini's type of hunger.

I don't think our squad as it stands can break the top 3. The addition of ronaldinho, and assuming he meshes and regains form will make us challenge, but even then i wouldn't say we've done all we can. We're still thin in the back. We're still lacking consistency upfront.

I think its time for us to cut deadweight, take the loss and make the changes.

If that's true... Juve's doing a lot of stupid things lately.

i really think we should look at Thiago Silva for the back line... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JW6KeoEeGb0

He is very very fast, good timing, and versitile.

We can only acquire one non-EU player... unless he has a EU passport... I guess it would be a good idea, but I think we should rather get Thiago Neves from Flum...

Regarding Ronaldo, i saw an article on goal.com about a week ago in which he says Milan did not treat him well.

Did you see an article about Messi wanting to play in Italy?
