Over the years they seem to produce some ok players....

I think it's a non issue....French players, Italian players etc in foreign countries all do it...why shouldn't Kaka and co want a slice of Brazil in Milan?

Milan Fans Revolt And Plan A Coup Against Berlusconi

Milan fans have become so fed up with the way the club is run that they have launched a petition against the club’s owner Silvio Berlusconi and their principle aim is to overthrow the chief.

As president of the Republic of Italy, Berlusconi has greater things to think about than the day to day running of his Rossoneri enterprise and this has lead to the Tifosi have become angry at the way Milan have failed to compete in the transfer market as well as the club’s policies.

The fans have already shown their disapproval of the chief by sending intimidating letters to Milan’s head office.

Now, the Tifosi have set up an online petition against Silvio Berlusconi and they are demanding he sells up or they will boycott the club.

A statement for the petition against Berlusconi reads:

“The club has lamented its lack of resources compared to England and Spain and so we invite the fans to protest for a change for the better.

“We are thankful for the president for the work he has done but over the last two years we have won because the team has made miracles and not because of anything else.

“We have to make ourselves heard in a serious way and we need to make clear our disappointment with Milan.

“Milan deserves dignity and so, for the benefit of the club, we demand that the president sells up in order to restore some pride amongst the fans.”

Berlusconi has been pumping millions into the club via his investment company Fininvest since 1986.

However, funding over the last few seasons has seemed to decline as the club have hardly made mega money signings.

Galliani’s own revelation about how the club cannot afford players seems to have been the final straw and now the fans have demanded for heads to roll as they try to achieve a coup over Berlusconi.

That's a complete joke. There isn't going to be a coup or anything. And a little petition consisted of a few hundred ungrateful fans does not speak for the majority.

Hughes remains hopeful of Ronaldinho deal

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes remains determined to lure Ronaldinho to Eastlands.

Talks are on-going between the club and the player's representatives after he was off-loaded by Barcelona.

City have stated their ambition under Hughes by completing the signing of 21-year-old striker Jo from CSKA Moscow.

Now they want to tempt his fellow Brazilian after splashing out an undisclosed club record fee, believed to be £19million.

Hughes claims Ronaldinho has given out encouraging signals.

'He is a world star and if these things are going to happen they are likely to take a bit of time and we are patient,' said the former Blackburn Rovers boss.

'In the discussions he has had with the club I think he is very positive about the idea of coming here.

'It is a process that is on-going. It has not slowed in any way shape or form and there is no immediate deadline.'

Ronaldinho has been linked with a move to Chelsea under new manager Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Questions have also been raised about the playmaker's form and fitness.

But Hughes remains adamant they can give Ronaldinho the platform he needs to get back to his best.

The City boss said: 'Perhaps in the last 18 months he has not reached his potential.

'We are offering him an opportunity that will stimulate him and enable him to get back to the level he was at before.

'I think it could be an interesting idea for him. Maybe what we are doing here would attract him more than going to an established Champions League club.

'The decision will be his, of course, as I am sure he will many offers. Whether he can see our vision remains to be seen.'

Regarding the Milan petition that is being splashed across the news, I would like to say that i have mixed feelings.

I have been a Milan fan for 20 years now and I'm not use to Milan not being able to afford players. I don't understand why Berlusconi has stopped opening his wallet as much as he use too. He must remember that to millions and millions of people around the world, Milan is not just a football club but a way of life.

What happens at the Milan club affects fans in their everyday lives. I would like the club to come out and explain their strategies for the future. I keep hearing Galliani coming out and stating that Italian football is in decline and that Italian clubs can no longer compete with English and Spanish clubs. Well I'm sorry but thats just not good enough. The major stakeholders in Serie A need to get together and start planning for the future. Whether that be by building privately owned stadiums or exploring new marketing options to expand Serie A as a global brand.

I would understand if Berlusconi and Galliani stated they Milan could not compete with other clubs because they were building a new state of the art stadium. That would be understandable. Galliani always states that Serie A clubs fall in financial windfall because they don't own their own stadium. Well why doesn't Milan take a stance and build a new Alliance like arena. Even if it were to be co owned with Inter Milan.

I have been to the San Siro and though its a beautiful stadium with endless history, there is a real lack of corporate boxes and thats where a large stake in financial gain comes from.

So come on Berlusconi and Galliani show the way and bring Serie A to the top again.

If Milan can not compete and sign the likes to R10 or Eto etc, then why not go for youth and sign promising stars like Diogo or Nilmar from Brazil. Milan need to show its fans their direction for the future and instead of complaining about the downfall of Italian football. Milan need someone to come out and show leadership and direction. Someone needs to address the fans and inform them of what the clubs plans are to fight this so called decline in Italian football.

Yeah I agree with you... it's a disrespectful petition both to Berlusconi and to Milan... Berlusconi has done many things for Milan and a small minority of fans can't respect that.

But it doesn't make them not Milan fans. They're still Milan fans.

Please no Luis Fabiano... Not when we are linked with such as Eto'o and Adebayor. And no Pavlyuchenko too. Those two are just little better than Borriello. And if we have Borriello already, why do we need to buy those two?

We should go for Thiago Neves... he scored twice for Flum so far from what I hear in the final... the score is 2-1, or 5-4 on the aggregate though... Flum has to score I think one more to win (because Flum has two away goals).

I think we should get Thiago Neves, and I do not think there is any decline in Italian football. I see a great deal of strong youth talent coming out of Italy... a lot of great promising names.

Milan has ties in Brazil. We should go for young talents in Brazil (and look within too), and perhaps examine Africa for talents...

And I heard that Sun Ji Hai rejected Milan to sign for... Sheffield United .
