Fergie had bad time with MU, first seasons and in around 2000-20005 (I forget exactly) when MU didnt win prestigeous Cup (Premier League or Champions League) and when Arsenal and Chelsea won the leagues but Fergie didnt get even a warning from the club (in around 2000-2005) and medias didnt press him with sacking.
Compare to Carlo when he brought Milan to CL's final 2005 and made last fight in Serie A to decide the Scudetto. But what Carlo got? News about his sacking since that time! |

Like Giovanni said, it's apples and oranges comparing Italy and England...Fergie is a one in a million when it comes to motivating and re-creating, and Manchester have allowed him to have time because they trust him and he has delivered. No other club allows this; if you look at Madrid, Inter, they sack managers after winning titles and CL's, it is crazy. I don't think there are many out there like him, and I don't think that there will be many after.
But just like we've had the faith in Maldini for all these years, even with injuries, bad spells, etc.., I would love for Milan to have a coach that they stick with for many, many years. It is a sign of good faith and Milan has that spirit. |

Well, so it looks like it MIGHT be Dinho or Ade....I wonder which one managment prefers or will they simply go for whoever is the cheapest. After all, they're completely different players and will dictate how we play next year. Honestly, I would prefer selling Boriello and getting both.

But I think this might be better: We may only be able to get one of those, stick with Borriello... then if Borriello does not perform, sell him in the winter transfer season... this may be a calculated risk but it should be given a chance. I'd prefer Borriello and Adebayor... then if we need to, get an attacking midfielder or another striker in the winter transfer season. |

Arsenal Ready To Sell Adebayor
Milan’s Adriano Galliani has reportedly declared that Arsenal have contacted him to discuss selling striker Emmanuel Adebayor to the Italian giants. * »Comments (45) * Print This Story * Send To A Friend * Contact Us Arsenal Ready To Sell Adebayor galleria zoom * * * Adebayor’s future has been the subject of much debate all summer with the striker flirting with both AC Milan and Barcelona whilst also refusing to rule out staying at the Emirates. However, it now appears the end may be in sight as Milan and Arsenal look set to sit down and potentially thrash out a deal which will see the Togolese swap London for Milan. Speaking to Antenna 3 television station, Galliani has been reported as saying: "Arsenal wrote us a letter today in which they have said that they are ready to talk to us about Adebayor.” The Price Is Right? AC Milan had previously been reported as saying that Arsenal’s asking price for Adebayor was too high, a factor which looked to have ruled them out of the race for the front man. Yet, whilst this may still be factor, it appears to be the only one preventing the deal taking place, which Galliani himself acknowledged. The Milan chief said: "There is just one major problem left to overcome - the price of the player, which is going to be high." While the price still needs to be negotiated, it appears the player has already expressed his desire to move to Milan which appears to have set the ball rolling. Speaking of the striker’s wishes, Galliani confessed: "He's said that we're the club he wants to play for. That is surely a step towards the right direction." Adebayor scored 24 league goals for the Gunners last season and manager Arsene Wenger will be reluctant to let the striker leave. However, the Gunners boss has already admitted earlier this week that his club may need to sell the player to help finance their stadium and should AC Milan get close to the Gunners asking price he may have no option but to sanction the sale. |

Hope u read the previous posts before that one. The topic was who has produced better youth in recent years. And Giancarlo kept on using Polschi as his prime example of Milan youth products. Nocerino was just one example of many other youth products Juve have produced. Whether u think hes good or not hes currently the captain of Olymics team. The topic of Age was never a factor, what was a factor is what the players have accomplished in their short careers. And Although Polschi maybe highly rated he hasnt proven anything in Serie A, and untill he does he cant be compared to other Youth players who have. Again the Topic was about how Both Inter and Juve have produced better talent in RECENT YEARS compared to Milan. It was a typo i meant to say Molinaro. And if u know any other Youth Lb that italy have produced in recent years then plz indicate. Chielini has officially become a CB so lets not use that one. Last edited by Kerlz; 08-07-2008 at 21:46. |

I mentioned Paloschi only a few times and brought up other players. I view Paloschi as one of the brightest stars to emerge from Italy (and his U-17 and U-19 goal scoring record proves that). Paloschi is just 18 years old and already has set himself up for a spot in the national team in the future. I also feel we are the ones at the forefront of domestic talent. But lets stick to the topic at hand.
This is about the mercato. Lets get back to that... it seems like things are heating up. Last edited by Giancarlo; 08-07-2008 at 21:48. |

How is Milan at the forfront for domestic Talent? Inter have reached 2 consecutive finals in two years for the Primavera, and their under 17 just won it. Whie most of Juve's youth are being bought up by clubs in Italy and are most of them will be participating in the Olympics. GianCarlo its not about how u feel, since feelings and opinions cannot really be debated. If u wanna debate then put the facts on the table . Last edited by Kerlz; 08-07-2008 at 21:56. |
