If he's slow at 21 whats gonna happen n 5-10 years? However he wasnt the plaer we needed. we needed pace in midfield and energy. Someone like iniesta who can run at defenders and get back and defend. Someone like seedorf 5 years ago when he was younger...Gourcuff is very relaxed, laid back. perhaps 1 day he'll become like pirlo. I know he has the skill to play like pirlo, we shall see though.
Even if he isn't very fast on the ball, he does a lot of off the ball running which is what we needed in the team. Players were just standing one place at times, which limits Pirlo's options for passes especially. Also plenty AM's aren't particularly fast, Zizou...Riquelme...Seedorf(lol). What's more important is vision, creativity and passing ability all of which Gorucuff has. Along with a decent shot, I fail to understand how he didn't get more chances when creativity was a serious problem last season.

Secondo Sky il Milan avrebbe presentato un'offerta per il giovane portiere Salvatore Sirigu della Cremonese, che in passato è stato uno dei punti di forza della Primavera del Palermo, che ne detiene ancora il cartellino

----

Basically this says we put in an offer for Salvatore Sirigu at Cremonese (being on loaned from Palermo)... I first saw this on the worst site in the world (tribalfootball)... but then saw it on Calciomercato..

I don't have a clue about this goalkeeper in all honesty lol.

sorry to post other club's official website here, but last interview with Scolari is interesting since he said: Drogba and Lampard would absolutely in his plans. so it would break many rumours about Milan/others clubs trying to get Drogba and Inter to get Lampard.

Tribalfootball.com :

"Spurs boss Ramos ready to offload 16 first teamers"

No wonder we can't win Scudetto and CL.
We play with only 11 first teamers

When Seedorf's form dropped, Gourcuff still wasn't even getting 15-20 mins at the end of the game. He was being brought on at the 85th minute. How is that suppose to do anything to help a player's development?

Fast forward to this season, after promises that he'll get more playing time...etc etc. He had a good match in the preseason friendly versus Inter specifically and he was being praised for it. Did he get playing time? No. I remember when we came from Malta(either this season or last season) and they were saying how well Gourcuff was playing. Was there any improvement in playing time? No. I really cannot agree with you that he got "many chances" as there were plenty more opportunities to play him.
I wanna ask, for you many chances for a player who is 20-21 years old is how many games? In 06/07 he played 25 games (only in Serie A) and in 07/08 15 games. We are Milan, not Empoli. 25 games in his firs season when he was 20 years old were many games. In 07/08 were not that many but we have to know how bad Gourcuff play in 07/08. I even couldnt trust my eyes watching a terrible plays from Gourcuff. And there were already discussions why Gourcuff was benched like he didnt do what Carlo expected by dribbling the ball to much, etc.

Gourcuff is just not experienced enough to play with Milan. He came in a wrong moment. He was 20 years old when he came but what did he bring? He had only 1 season in France as starting line-up player. I do like Gourcuff and hate to accept the reality that Carlo was right not to play him oftenly from the first minute as he never played well (regarding quality and consitency) when he was given the chances to play from the first minute.

I do think, the hype on him was very high like he was next Zidane which means he would be like Kaka so that he would play regularly like Kaka but the FACT he was not! He was not Kaka or Pato calibre who could play regularly in such young age for a big club like Milan!

Channel4 reports that Pirlo was denied a pay raise by Galliani....something I find difficult to believe.

Its strange that Pirlo would do that, since he comes from a wealthy family, and has 3 years to run on his contract...and has already (supposedly) turned down the purported offers from Madrid and Barca(?).

This could fuel a whole ton load of "Pirlo to leave Milan" rumors in the future....

Pirlo deserves more than half of what Kaka is earning, there's no doubt about that. Our team struggles every time Pirlo doesn't play just like we struggle when Kaka doesn't play. Pirlo is as important as Kaka.

But then again, this is probably just agent-talk. I guess some money would go to his agent if he could get a better deal than what he has today... Money rules the game of football!

only an attempt to unsettle Pirlo. I don't believe he would ask for a payrise EVEN THOUGH I should admit he deserves more than what he got.

Official: Mancini is an Inter player. (any source).

Another excellent signing for Inter, IMO.

"Ho letto questa notizia sui giornali, ma il mio procuratore non mi ha detto nulla. Comunque - prosegue - essere stato notato da un club di questo livello non può che farmi piacere, anche se magari non c'è niente di vero".

- Salvatore Sirigu.
