Another excellent signing for Inter, IMO.
Hopefully now they'll forget about Quaresma....or drag their feet on negotiations for Berlu to swoop in for him

Galliani and Wenger will meet in Cote d'Azur this weekend to discuss about Adebayor. The actual place is Juan les Pins. I've been there, great nightlife.
I'm sure the birds around and the fantastic climate will put the baldie and Wenger in good mood for the deal, which could be closed before the end of the week.

These are the latest news from Italy.

We are Milan, not Empoli. 25 games in his firs season when he was 20 years old were many games. In 07/08 were not that many but we have to know how bad Gourcuff play in 07/08. I even couldnt trust my eyes watching a terrible plays from Gourcuff. And there were already discussions why Gourcuff was benched like he didnt do what Carlo expected by dribbling the ball to much, etc.

Gourcuff is just not experienced enough to play with Milan. He came in a wrong moment. He was 20 years old when he came but what did he bring? He had only 1 season in France as starting line-up player. I do like Gourcuff and hate to accept the reality that Carlo was right not to play him oftenly from the first minute as he never played well (regarding quality and consitency) when he was given the chances to play from the first minute.

I do think, the hype on him was very high like he was next Zidane which means he would be like Kaka so that he would play regularly like Kaka but the FACT he was not! He was not Kaka or Pato calibre who could play regularly in such young age for a big club like Milan!

of those 15 only 4 were starts. of the 11 sub appearances majority were less than 10 minutes...
http://www.football-lineups.com/footballer/832/

thats his game log for reference, he only got 7 games total where he played more than 20 minutes. 3 where when he played completion, and another 2 where him playing 45 minutes. And alot of those were early champions league fixtures...

Adebayor To Milan For €30m Plus Gourcuff
According to the latest reports in Italy, AC Milan will sign Emmanuel Adebayor for €30m plus France Under-21 international Yoann Gourcuff.

The proposed move of Adebayor to Milan has become one of the main transfer sagas of the summer. Yesterday the Rossoneri claimed to have received a letter from Arsenal saying that the Gunners were now prepared to discuss a deal for the Togo striker.

This was later followed by a statement from the Arsenal chairman, Peter Hill-Wood, insisting that the Londoners were hoping to keep Adebayor.

Despite Hill-Wood’s assertions, the Italian press strongly believes that the 24-year-old will indeed be joining Milan, and the latest claims are that the clubs have come to an agreement over a transfer fee.

The Rossoneri will pay €30m in cash, and will also throw in €8m rated France Under-21 international Yoann Gourcuff as part of the deal.

Gourcuff joined Milan in 2006, and was regarded as one of the best young talents in the whole of the Europe. However, the 22-year-old has failed to impress, and indeed has already been loaned out to Bordeaux for next season.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is a huge admirer of the attacking midfielder, and it seems the inclusion of Gourcuff in the deal has swayed him to accept Milan’s offer.

Gourcuff will not arrive at the Emirates Stadium until his loan spell at Bordeaux ends in June 2009, but Adebyaor will immediately move to San Siro.

Milan general manager Adriano Galliani is said to be hopeful of completing the transfer by next Wednesday (July 16).

Don't be fooled by the number of games, look at the number of minutes instead then you'll realize it wasn't many chances at all.

AC Milan chief Galliani in crunch Pirlo, Brocchi talks
tribalfootball.com - July 10, 2008

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani held talks with midfielder Andrea Pirlo yesterday.

Pirlo is seeking a pay-hike on his current deal, which still has three years to run. Leggo says both Pirlo and his agent, Tullio Tinti, met with Galliani yesterday to discuss the midfielder's situation.

Arriving in the afternoon for talks with Galliani, meanwhile, was Davide Lippi, who represents midfielder Cristian Brocchi.

Brocchi has expressed interest in moving away, though Lippi left assured that the player has a place in coach Carlo Ancelotti's plans for the new season.
--------------------------

i wish this was a more credible source. WHY WOULD ANCELOTTI TELL BROCCHI THERES ROOM FOR HIM?!?! Brocchi honestly is 1 of the worst players to ever dawn a milan uniform. No disrespect to him. he tried very hard, but he simply is not good. should he leave, perhaps we can finally get a more dynamic MF. Joao Moutinho comes to mind :-D. eitherway he is really expendable. we have 4 DM's w/o him....

You can't blame Pirlo...Kaka gets a new contract pretty much EVERY SEASON. I knew one of our stars would eventually ask for a pay rise as well. Add that to all our overpaid fringe players then Galliani wonders where all our money is going.....

pirlo does deserve to be paid more than flamini. But its players like brocchi, emerson, favalli, simic who r vastly overpaid. we could get vargas, cigarini, joao moutinho at half there wages (young players dont demand as high of wages unless they r widely proven like ronaldo), get better production, and better ourselves for future. God i hate when i make so much sense......

Think about this, pato makes less than 3/4 our first team.

He'll get what he is asking for... don't worry about that.

Right now what interests me is that is the Gourcuff + 30 million for Adebayor... it might be the deal that will cause Arsenal to give him up...

LOL. Since Inter just gave up on just about everyone else they were hoping to sign, including Quaresma.
