i'd love a borriello quagliarella swap... I see it as a possibility. Udinese r more in need of a CF with boriellos characteristics. They r bringing back alexis sanchez who is apparently 1 of the hottest properties in south america (loaned on river last season). He's a winger compared to c.Ronaldo (GO FIGURE... now every winger is next ronaldo, like ever french AM is next zidane). that being said he is highly rated youngster.
The swap would make sense since udinese could now team di natale and borriello w/ sanchez in support. Who knows though this is PURE speculation by me. no validity. All we know is carlo likes quagliarella

Borriello's not going anywhere this year, there's no point speculating on it. He'll be given at least a full year to prove himself. We payed almost 10 million for him so I don't think that we'll just ship him out in January if it doesn't work out, we're Milan, we like to make sure they get lots and lots and lots and lots of chances to show that they aren't up to it, then we give them a new contract, then complain about how high wages are and we can't get anyone...

That'd be almost 28 million pounds...check out other transfers at that level; i don't think a striker with one good year is worth that. Plus, teams know we're desperate so they're jacking up the prices.
Sad, Torres went to pool for 20 million...is Ade better then him? |

Dessena is off to Sampdoria according to Channel4.com. Let's hope we don't lose Cigarini as well.

30 mil euros is 23-24 mil pounds. He's more proven than torres was last year. now torres is worth much much more

Despite Arsenal starting the negotiations for Adebayor, the Times reports rumours of the possibility that the Russian attacker Roman Pavlyuchenko could become Rossonero. According to the Times the Rossoneri would be ready to pay 15 million pounds (almost 19 million euros) to Spartak Moscow. ---- First time I've ever seen a price mentioned for Pav... is this plan B if the Adebayor negotiations fail? |

Pavlyuchenko is tactically sound and has the ability to poach goals. But he still is a bit unproven.
About Adebayor- He offers something that Milan havent had in a long time, and thats a physical presence in the box. Hes also well rounded for a striker, as hes got good pace, strength, ball control, and is clinical enough to bag 15 goals a season. Last edited by Kerlz; 10-07-2008 at 16:07. |
