What I see this transfer season is the management doing honest moves to rectify past mistakes. |

I understand that, but I think we have a great team as it stands... though I too agree we need to cut some players and add one or two more (beyond the striker)...

I think Adebayor is a good addition let me add, just think that he should never be "instead" of R10.
Basically, we would have replaced Ronaldo with this move....what we need to do now is get that AM option, either a starter (eg R10) or someone to challenge Seedorf for his starting spot...further, a person to allow Kaka some rest. I really hope the reinforcement of the attack doesn't stop with the Adebayor purchase, if indeed it does happen.

how much is drogba being talked about? I would rather have a younger option... but should drogba come and we aquire a younger attacker as well.... might be better than putting all eggs in adebayor basket...... Realistically i think i agree with most of you...i dont expect ade to come for 30+, though i do think he is quite a talent

. We do need a creative central midfielder because when Pirlo is marked well, there's problems linking the attack to the defense.Last edited by Mystik; 10-07-2008 at 18:44. Reason: Msg got deleted...dunno how..lol |

You really think Seedorf would sit on the bench?

You know Asamoah Gyan is going to leave Udinese... I remember seeing him in the World Cup but haven't seen much since then... I've heard we were linked with him like a year ago... but nothing ever happened of it...

whats up from Sin City, Las Vegas...weather is too hot and sunny and the casinos have been bad with me..hope that I can break even before I leave at least..
Amr Zaky? in Milan? please. His stats are impressive yes, but so are the stats of other players from Asia. They play in a different league compared to the european leagues. Ali Karimi is a good example, when he played in Asia he was some sort of Maradona/Zidane mix...when he went to Bayern we all thought what a great swoop they made but guess what, he flopped. Amr Zaky is not even the best egyptian player out there, there are others like Abu Treika and Mohamad Zidan who have better chances of making it in Europe one day. Does anyone think Pato's contribution in the olympic games may harm his performances for next year? He will not be 100% prepared I'm afraid. And even if Ronaldinho were to come, I aint sure how will we get him into top form with very little time. Milan seem like they are only looking for one more player - Ronaldinho or Adebayor. I dont want to judge the management just yet, but we certainly need a few more players than that. The management failed to deliver for a while on the transfer market, so really another failure would drive us crazy. They started off well with two good signings, but then got 4 ex-Milanista's back to Milan (Antonini, Abate, Abbiati, Boriello). I dont think any of them is a step up for the team. |

Hey come on now I was just making suggestions... sometimes outlandish ones.
![]() I think the transfer season is just fine, and the three players you named are merely adding more depth to the squad (Borriello, Abate, Antonini). I expect management to at least get one major signing, and 1-2 lower level signings... The fact we have many of these players is indication this transfer season is far different. Lets wait till July 16th, and I'll reserve further judgment till then. Anyways, I can't really expect us to sign every person we need. We may have to wait till the winter transfer season. Now this is another name that has not been really brought up... what do people think about Storari? I must admit this is one of the few Italian goalkeepers I'm not too informed about... I know he played for Milan before and wasn't that great... but has he since improved? Last edited by Giancarlo; 10-07-2008 at 21:09. |
