we certainly need more players, hitmannq8, but the most important is a striker at the moment, and one at a time.

I'm also worried about DC, but now our FC position is in extreme urgency.

I don't think Olympic will hurt Pato; in fact I think Pato needs more experience at the moment. I still think that he is not tactically savvy enough. He needs more time to blend in with Milan.

The players you named are all backup: I do expect Flamini to start regularly, so does Zambrotta. Hopefully a new FC will come and that should be a satisfactory summer transfer..

I still believe that Dida has it, but for some reasons people are just relentless to him like to Gilardino.

Who can replace Dida, exactly, besides Buffon? Such a difficult question...

I think Julio Cesar already has.

Jokes aside, Dida was the best in 04/05 but since then he has slowly lost it. He has all to prove next season and is still much better then kalac; who despite being a giant of a man, is too cautious when leaving his line for a high ball and rarely looked assured and confident when he played.

i second that. i'm not arguing with the fact that Ade is strong and an athletic player. but to say that he is worth 30M Euros + 1 young and talented Gourcuff is way overrated. Ade is a good player yet he proved just in 1 good season. while Gourcuff still hasnt enough chances to prove a lot in Milan. i'm hoping he could improves more in Bordeaux and bring those all when he comes back to Milan. if this rumours turns out to be true the only winner of this transaction is Arsenal (Wenger). have 30M Euros should be enough to buy few players to cover "just" 1 Ade and in Wenger's hand Gourcuff would be metamorphosis to a superstar (his price would be much more than what he has now) meanwhile i'm not so sure about Ade will be that success in Milan as in Arsenal. none of Arsenal's players be able to do that after they leave Arsenal. should be a silly transfer in my opinion. not because the player but because the overrated price.

I think 30 million Euros is indeed appropriate for Adebayor, but maybe adding in an extra player is just too much. Either way, Adebayor may force Arsenal to come down in price because he does not want to stay in Arsenal and has refused wage offers. Arsenal has no choice and now finally Milan could have the upper hand in any negotiation. So hopefully, there will be no reason to offer Gourcuff.

But if we do give up Gourcuff, we can certainly make that up elsewhere (getting an attacking midfielder from Brazil for example).

i read that Milan just want to spend another 25M Euros. so the deal either for Ade or R10 should be around those numbers. if we have to spend that much for Ade/R10 i prefer to bring back Sheva or buy Pavlyuchenko and 1 good CB ^^

Boruc? Akinfeev (sp?)?

Certainly the former, maybe the latter...and both are easily better than Kalac and Abiatti...

Not exactly, I think Arsenes position is that if Milan dont offer the money then he shall sell him elsewhere (Barca). Even then Ade has like 3 years left on his contract and pissing the professor off would just make him sit on the bench for the next few years but I doubt it as he would prefer the money instead.

I've heard that Wenger is a big admirer of Gourcuff but I doubt he will be part of the deal, the deal will probably be just cash. By the way does anyone know how much Ade is going to make each week in Milan?

somewhere on goal.com (not a trusted source) :
ade : "I'll Play Like Henry When I'm Paid Like Henry".
so I think he expect to be paid for about £130,000 / week ?

That's why I disliked him, a type of player who could easily jump to another club offering big wages. And there's no guarantee that he won't do it twice.

yep. I agree, not because of the amount he ask, but because of the way he act. He should play like Henry first, then ask to be paid like one, not the other way around.
