Then lets get more Brazilians I say. Why change something that isn't broken? Lets get more of Kaka's friends... if they are his friends wouldn't they play better with him?

That's exactly what I don't want at Milan. Look, I get very excited at the prospect of having younger stars... and I've named some... and frankly we need fresher legs... but I'm also very cautious and sometimes conflicted on this subject.

I'm all about results now...

Just to clarify, I'm not advocating a policy whereby we have a renewed team of youth every year; like Giancarlo said, it unsettles the team and causes other issues. I do want to see a new GROUP of youngsters come in, a team that can be built up and molded; we already have Kaka' as our next natural born leader, we've got some nice young italians, and we've got Pato. I'd like to sacrifice a year in order to get a good solid group developed so that we can have a nice 5-6 year cycle. Right now, we're in desperation mode every mercato and teams know it; why put all of our eggs in one basket? What if Ade doesn't pan out? We'd have another Gila on our hands, because we wouldn't dump him in a year after paying 30 million.

Edit: For me, I'm not impatient about titles. I'd rather see the beginning of a great squad that can consistently challenge for titles, not a one-off hope based on one huge signing. Come on, we went through the "glory years" of 96-98 when we were in 11th and 10th, but it all came good. Impatient is Chelsea's way...slow and steady wins the race!

Everyone at Milan talks about how a new cycle needs to begin; here is a perfect chance to try it out.
I'd like to see Milan be able to change formations in games, and to do this we need players that can adapt and play different roles. Why can't we have an amazing line of Pato and Falcao with Borriello? It'd scare the hell out of teams.
I'd like to return to the days when teams were afraid of OUR attack.
Looks like we're in the minority...everyone thinks about this year and immdieate gratification...we have Pato, we have Seedorf we have so and so...and after they leave we'll have to spend 35 million on a replacement.

and when Milan finishes 5th-10th for more than 1 season, please dont come asking for Berlusconi/Galliani/Carlo's head

we saw that Milan's fans want CL, Serie A at the same season, and if Milan signs young, yet to prove themselves at big stages players, THEY WONT DO THAT IN YEARS TO COME.

yes, I dont deny the fact that Milan needs to buy more players, specially in the Defense department(+GK) and young backups for Kaka/ Pirlo(which, obviously are the key players of Milan) but hey, Milan already did, true, they'll have to change formation/tactics, but hey its a start

No...buy Ronaldinho & Pavlyuchenko instead of Adebayor & Ronaldinho...and use the money that you were gonna give to Arsenal to River Plate. It would be a little extra now (cause we'd be paying Spartak Moscow for Pavlyuchenko) but it would be well worth it in the long run.

Are we still holding onto Ignazio Abate? I have not seen anything official with regards to that. And from what I hear nothing has materialized...

And I was wondering about the goalkeeper Storari... what is your position on him considering he has come back to Milan? (I know him somewhat, but not to the extent of other Italian goalkeepers)

As far as formations are concerned, I know that Carlo said he would switch it around for the next season... you guys even posted about that like a few hundred pages ago lol.

I've been a fan since 1986 so I'm not concerned about anything...with time comes patience.
Sempre Milan...in good and bad, in A or B, Milan will always be the team for me!

Do you think Dinho+Roman < 30M? Arsenal, as somebody said, have tabled 8M bid for Falcao. I doubt that River will go with that, but even if we use 8M as a minimum value for Falcao, that means we will buy Dinho+Roman with 22M... Could it be? I'd be very happy with that if happens, but sadly 22M is even doubted to win Dinho alone. Falcao couldn't be treated as "side-purchase", like we will get him with 0 bucks if we sign him now. Yes I believe that his price will rise at 2-3 years to come, but that doesn't mean that now he is available at a lower price.

So, if I had to choose between Falcao and a great proven striker now... I'd go for great proven striker first. Falcao could wait until 1, 2, or 3 years if we still had the chance. If not, let him go for good.

If Milan invested in/bought one promising youngster for 5-15 Million (depending on position) along with their normal targets it would save them massive amounts of money in the long run.

He said himself that he will likely be 4th goalkeeper at Milan and is considering leaving maybe to Spain or a Serie B team or become 2nd keeper at Serie A.

So they that means we'd pay 30 for Adebayor 20 to 22 for Ronaldinho and then in 4 years another 30 for Falcao type player. (if he reaches his potential)

How does that make anymore sense?

Storari has been loaned to Fiorentina (Gazzetta).

I did NOT say that.

I only said that we could NOT get Dinho, Roman, and Falcao with noly 30M (the management's current valuation of Adebayor).

Buy Falcao if you want, I said! But we should also buy Dinho (or any world class atk mid) AND Roman (or any quality striker) and we could NOT do that with only a 30M.

We need a... umm... 18-25M for Dinho, maybe 15-18 for Pavlyuchenko, and about 10-15 for Falcao, so it will be 43-58M. Would the management spend that amount NOW? Answer for yourself.

So for now, I'd be happy to buy them all if I had money and I'm in Milan management. But if the board put a max 30M to spend, Falcao can wait, or we could buy another young striker. I bet there will be many Falcaos over there at 2-3 years... Maybe 4 or 5 strikers like him... We could put one of them in our CL-Coppa-Serie A winning squad, which we could have had if we spend our current money at the right player.
