I think he should be given # 10 & Seedorf # 20, in this way both will feel comfortable. Numbers play a big parts in players luck, see Michael Ballack has lost 3 finals because of his unlucky # 13
I can't see Seedorf giving his number up so easily.

"13" is a lucky number in italian culture. It is probably due to the football lottery, where "13" was the highest point you could receive.

Nesta wears 13. I don't think any forward feels lucky if they face Nesta

I think one thing we have to remember is, while I have not been Ronaldinho's biggest supporter on here, I recognize he is no David Beckham and he does not want a massive wage and a new modeling career. He simply wants to play football with a legendary team (not man city). I'll be fine if he comes, but I hate this drama created by the Catalans...

I'am not good with my italian but I will try to Translate (Govani please translate it)

According to Sport, Ronaldinho have already accepted the British destination, but that is not true.
Barca know that Dinho only wants Milan,

therefore the more probable SCENARIO

Ronaldinho and De Asiss will arrive tomorrow in Barcelona, something that has been agreed upon after talks between the player and the club, will be like a gesture of distension, good will, before the goodbye.
Meantime, Galliani will try to close the negotiation around 20 million, hoping of being able to introduce Dinho until Wednesday to Milanello

That is basically what it says. I also think this is a strategy, but if we do lose Dinho and don't get Adebayor, the ultras will not be happy. I think I will be physically ill at the sight of Berlu and Galliani then.

Let's hope for the best though.

Ernesto Bronzetti just spoke in a football tv show. He said:

"i've talked with Ronaldinho half an hour ago, and he wants to go to Milan. The Man City offer is meaningless, if the player doesn't want to go there".

"Ronaldinho has been training for the last 2 weeks. He's doing two traning sessions per day and he's regaining some good form. He's been treated very badly bu Barca and he's full of good intention to show he's still the #1 and wants to prove it".

"Ronaldinho has chosen to cut his wage. This is another prove Ronaldinho wants to come back to his levels again".

"There's hope to introduce Ronaldinho within the 16th of July".

Just curious: how reliable is Ernesto Bronzetti?

He's Milan's official agent in Spain.

Two elements for your consideration (coming from a tv show, which i find very true) :

- Franco Ordine points out Ronaldinho has never had serious injuries in his career.

- Beccalossi points out that Ronaldinho's body structure is agile and thin. Such players do less effort in regaining high fitness level.

It seems like French and Italian sites have 2 different translations ...

In France, each site claims that Milan has 48 hours to give an advance of 10M € to Barcelona ... and then the transfer will be done (when the amount agreed by Milan and Barcelona will be paid). No mention about Manchester City.

Its really simple. If a website article has quotes it is to be trusted. If it doesn't have quotes then it is BS. Also, quotes from "club insiders" or the "player's close friend" aren't to be trusted.

ATM, consider what Giovanni has posted (Bronzetti's statements) to be the truest and latest update on the situation.

Sampdoria planning audacious Shevchenko swoop

Sampdoria general manager Beppe Marotta has revealed his club are plotting an audacious swoop for Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko.

Shevchenko has spent two difficult seasons in the Premier League after making the move from AC Milan to London for £30 million in 2006, and has been linked with a return to his former employers at the San Siro.

The 31-year-old, who has scored just nine goals in 47 Premier League appearances for the Blues, admits he misses life in Italy but Chelsea have so far resisted pressure to offload the underperforming hitman.

Marotta feels his club can succeed where Milan have failed by luring Shevchenko back to Italy on a loan deal, although he concedes the Ukrainian's wage demands could prove to be a stumbling block

'We want to solve our problems in front of goal with a player capable of exciting the crowd but who can also score plenty of goals,' Marotta told Italian newspaper Secolo XIX.

'Sheva would be proud to join us, but the problem would be his wages.

'Lots of great players like Samp and the transfer is a complete possibility.'

Last season the Italian club managed to rescue another striker from a difficult situation overseas when they signed Antonio Cassano from Real Madrid.

Marotta believes the lessons learned from that deal will give his club confidence as they try to prise Shevchenko from Chelsea.

'We're in the same situation with Sheva [as we were with Cassano],' he continued.

'The transfer of Cassano was difficult to carry out but he came here, so never say never.'

This is the only point when I feel a little bit confident that R10 is closer to Milan than ever.
