Exactly. Seedorf stretched himself thin last season. I think he needs to understand that he can contribute to Milan but should do more in a limited quality oriented basis. A lot of quantity means little when playmaking is poor. Now we have ronaldinho... the opportunities will be created. It's mouthwatering thinking of our midfield now.. .and I can't wait to see some friendly games...

I think the Olympics don't start until Aug 7th - 23rd... so there must be some July friendly games later this month... I would hope that Ronaldinho participates.

Our defense isnt' as bad as you're making it, but I agree it does need to be shored up. Often, we played to 1-1 games... I think Zambrotta will be helpful, but as I said I agree we need one more left back player. And perhaps another CB...

maldini rarely plays so i dont count him as a starter... although hes generally class. nesta still wc. Kaladze...poor.

I think Kaladze is fine... and I usually defend the guy and get criticized for it. To mention I have not really said much about him since joining this forum.

That was Bonera's fault. His red card was the turning point in that game. That foul was just ridiculous. Other than that Bonera to speak of is a great player and I hope he is a starter. Some people don't like him, but I do.

But our gk is just pisspoor for a top side. juve=buffon, inter= ceasar, roma= doni...... milan=???

I think Abbiati is just fine...

And one other thing... Ferrari is a free agent I believe... not totally sure about that... yes I know some of you are skeptical of him, but I think he would be fine...

Bah. Only Buffon I consider top GK out of those three. I agree, though, our GKs are miserable, and no better than those three.

I don't think we can really be greedy at this point and expect more signings. I think mgmt have assembled a team that should definitely compete for the scudetto. Inter has a great team and it will be a tough fight, but I think we clearly put ahead of the rest of serie A and have maybe just enough to edge Inter out.

I really don't see any urgent needs at this point -look at our team:

GKs - Abbiati, Kalac and Dida
FBs - Zambro, Oddo, Janku, Favalli, Antonini
CBs - Nesta, Kaladze, Bonera, Maldini, Digao, Darmian, Simic
MFs - Pirlo, Gattuso, Ambro, Flamini, Emerson, Brocchi
AMs - Kaka, Dinho, Seedorf
FWs - Pato, Borriello, Inzaghi

Really, I don't see any glaring holes in our roster. Sure, I wish we could sign Boruc, Zapata, Adebayor, and go back in time and sign Vargas/Maggio and Cigarini (that last one hurts), but I think we need to appreciate all the moves Milan has done and not expect anymore.

The ONLY player who I can see Milan signing is Sheva via loan. Not because he's vital to our team's success at this point, but because of his relationship with Berlu. But if we don't, I think our forwards are enough to get the job done. And I personally believe that Pato will EXPLODE next season. You heard it here first.

For starter, Brocchi, Favalli and Simic should go.
Brocchi=excess baggage, as Seedorf will also move back and since Emerson is not going anywhere, Brocchi will really have no play time at all. On top of that, I doubt AMbro will be call to the National team anymore, as Lippi would probably want a younger team for WC.
Favalli needs to go in order for Antonini to get exp.
Simic needs to be sold while he still worth 5M, and once he is gone, Darian will have more playtime.

Well, if Polashi is staying, then I am fine with the strikers but if he is on loan then I guess it is better for us to sign a JDT type of strikers.

By the way, has there ever been any link with us and Crespo? Isn't he free now?

I believe Paloschi will stay, as buying Dinho has negated our ability to sign another forward. I don't mind this, in fact I'm quite happy as it will force Carlo to play youth and trust in it. As Russo-Neri lays it out, we have a quite decent squad. I'd like to see Simic go while we can sell him as Gabriel says, and Favalli as well so Antonini can play. I like what we have here; it is competitive, it allows for rotation, and I think it is competitive for the scudetto. This will be our main focus for the year, I am sure. If we could win it in Ronnie's first year, imagine the momentum to go into CL the following, it'd be amazing.
I am VERY excited for the year, and I believe if we take the right chances, we can do the business in serie A. I want to do well in UEFA cup but that's second fiddle to winning the league, and I think we have the squad to do it.

yeah forget ferari. i'd rather hold and get a quality defender than hear galliani go, we alread have enough, we have ferrari!

And not only that we increased the depth of our squad immensely. The management took steps that I believed they would. Some people call me crazy and a strong defender of management... but they pulled through this time for sure. We can't fix everything in one transfer window... there are always more to come.

And as it should be... the scudetto should be priority and I believe most Diavolo players agree with that...

While I'm really excited about Ronaldinho, I also can't wait to see Pato play more... scoring 9 goals in half of a season and getting his foot solidly in the door as he did... that's the way to do it! I can't wait!

And I'm sure Inter is trembling right now... they couldn't even get Lampard...

Just a few hours after news broke that AC Milan and Barcelona have reached an agreement over Ronaldinho, Barça’s director of football, Txiki Begiristain, has given his reasoning behind the superstar’s exit.

After officially coming to an agreement to sell Ronaldinho to Serie A giants AC Milan, Txiki explained in detail the activities that transpired on Tuesday and resulted in the Brazilian ace’s departure from the Camp Nou.

“The player will always decide where he wants to play. As a club, we can have 40 different offers but in the end, what counts is the player’s own desire,” he said.

The technical director also revealed one of the main deal-breakers that clinched the move: “This agreement was reached because Ronnie forfeited his right to 15% of the transfer fee.

“We are very satisfied with this deal because all three parties are happy. We are contented with the transfer and Ronnie will now also leave happy.”

The principle agreement of the transfer will see Barcelona pocket an initial €21 million plus €4 million in performance-related bonuses.
