Carlo's Tactical Dilemma...

...or, how will the man cope with so many offensive weapons? I'd like to use this thread to get everyone's opinions on what are the best line-ups given the current squad.
Also, possible changes for Uefa Cup, Coppa, and games against Inter, Juve, and Roma...I think there are 3-4 really good line-ups that can be used and they have been put out on different threads, this can hopefully consolidate those.

i love the topic!

i think we should play either xmas tree or 4-3-1-2 w/ seedorf in 3man midfield. This would add massive creativty and take pressure off pirlo. Also once we have lead, we can sub seedorf or pirlo with 30 left for a DM (ambro flamini or gattuso) and close out the game.

In m opinion one our biggest problems was lack of midfield creativty to attackers. If pirlo has space he is lethal, but when u have ambro and gattuso next to him (no offensive threaT) teams will just pressure andrea.... With seedorf back in midfield role, u add another offensive player who can defend. My only problem is seedorf is 32/33 I dont think he can run as much as we need as consistant, so i think we will see alot of pirlo + 2 dm. I just worry about them consistantly getting ball up to kaka dinho.

On that note, another creative CM will be our focus next transfer campaign. A joao moutinho who can defend but also push up is ideal. Aquilani, montolivo would be amazing too....Another playe i would LOVE to poach is lucas from liverpool. I dont know how much time he'll see there but i reall do think he lives up to the nickname of 'brazilian steven gerrard' . Can defend well, pass and shoot from distance. Should he mostly rot on the bench again and only play cup matches we should try to get him. (he carries an italian passporT). However from everything i've read benitez wants to use him alot more. (he subbed gerrard for him in a tied liverpool derby)....
Anyway I've digressed

I think pippo should start uefa cup, and be mostly a super sub in league... perhaps start big matches (inter, juve) depending on borriello form. As for pato, i think whenever kaka or dinho get a day off, we shall switch to 4-3-1-2 with 1 of the AM and then pato + borriello uptop.

Next campaign we have some major Qs, but should the work out.. we'll win scudetto....

Q's
-can borriello get the job done consistatly uptop?
-How much better will pato get this season?
-Can seedorf pla consistantly in 3 man midfield
-Can we stay injury free for the most part
-can oddo bounce back at RB? kaladze at cb?
-Will bonera, antonini step up?
-and the biggest one GK!?!?

Tht being said, everyones got Question marks, so whatever. I think what makes this season better, is all our q's r very capable of being answered. Last season we actually lacked players to answer some of our problems...

I'd love to see an attacking 4-2-3-1 with Pirlo one of the 2 DM's, but also the 4-2-3-1 would work nice when Pirlo is suspended, we can play Flamini, Emerson, Gattuso, Ambrosini or even Brocchi there. And the 3 attacking midfielders would be Ka-Pa-Ro and the striker Boriello or Pippo. Ofcourse also Seedorf can play as a midfielder.

But then again we probably will use the 4-3-2-1 the most, I just dont want to see any two of Brocchi/Ambrosini/Gattuso playing together. I would like Seedorf to play his old role at the left of midfield and Flamini or Ambrosini at the right, with KaPaRo up front.

OPTIONS!!

so far i think we tend to play with 4-3-2-1 regularly
janku and zambo in left & right flank respectively, pairing kaladze & nesta as centerback, max-pirlo-flamini as the 3 midfielder with pirlo in the pos. he used to be (deep maker), dinho & kaka behind the main striker Pato.

we have good options in midfield to forward pos. this upcoming season will be the exact time for rolling players like he did in 02/03 & 03/04 season.
i cant hardly wait this season start. would be lots of fun i guess

Has anyone looked at our squad from acmilan.com? Apparently Zambro is a midfielder and Seedorf is a forward! We have a big team, I think we'll have 2-3 subtractions by season's start through loans and selling.

Brocchi and Simic most likely will be sold... now with all these reinforcements, neither of them are likely to get any playing time at all.

Abate will be loaned out one more season...

4-3-2-1- is the way. We'll be giving up to much in the mid with the 4-2-3-1.

I really hope it looks like this...

Abbiati-Oddo-Nesta-Bonera-Zambrotta-Flamini-Pirlo-Ambro-Dinho-Kaka'-Pato

Subs: Dida-Kaladze-Janku-Rino-Seedorf-Brocchi-Borriello

FORZA RAGAZZI!!!

I actually like the sound of that... and if we had to it could be switched 4-3-1-2... While I had my doubts about playing this formation, on second look it's actually quite flexible.

Andrea Schianchi from La Gazzetta dello Sport thinks that this will be our starting line up:

We could sell kaka. Buy boruc quaresma sergio ramos and eto. Start zambro nesta maldini ramos quaresma pirlo flamini dinho eto pato. LOL just kidding. No way I'd ever want to sell kaka. Although it is interesting to think what could come from 100 mil and how much money that is, even in footballing world

On another note, does abramovichs wallet stop?

Yeah, I was just about to jump at you and get your neck.

Some players are worth more than money... they make up part of a team and contribute to the entire team. That's something you can't buy. That's what Kaka offers.
