the zidane example correlated to not selling too..... zidane was 29 when sold. should kaka get complacent and want to move when he's 29-30 like sheva or zidane then why not. but i'm hoping kaka becomes club symbol he deserves to be.

this is an interesting view

When I brought farward this idea i got attacked for it.

To Abramovic or Real madrids Calderon Kaka is a player which can take them to a higher level because they already have so much strength and depth but for Milan, kaka is more of a Luxury. The squad needs a Goalkeeper, a top class defender and striker. And a great playmaker who can replace kaka.

Milan084, you have a point on Zidane... though Kaka is part of the team and is one of those players that stays because he's integral of the team. He's a vital part of the team. We have improved our depth so greatly, and it would be wrong to sell him. We have a great goalkeeper in Abbiati. I do think we need one more defender and maybe another striker, but that's not enough reason to consider selling Kaka.

Kaka is an Integrel player but the idea of selling him would be ideal, whether people agree or not. He would fund important signings as the squad still has holes. Abbiati is not the answer for the goalkeeper problem, he was only a back up to franco this season but started many games due to the injuries franco sustained. Zambrotta is also a temporary replacement, in the next 2/3 seasons Galliani will probably have to go back on the market to buy another fullback and Borrelio is still unproven. 1 great season is not enough to make a name for urself, Gilardino did more then borrielo but he never cut it in a big club is an example

This post is more in general, not directed to anyone.

We've had a great signing season. And the person who would fund important signings is Berlusconi. It would be inappropriate to sell Kaka at this time when we have put so much greatness into our team. Kaka was also our highest scorer last season... it wouldn't make sense to sell him. Abbiati I think is the answer for the goalkeeper issue... Abbiati, beyond one game against Barcelona, performed quite well. Zambrotta is a world class signing.

Kaka cannot be sold, and it would not be ideal selling him. It would hinder our chance at getting far in the Serie A. Zambrotta is world class and I think he has at least 4 great years left in him. Flamini is world class. Ronaldinho certainly is world class. Borriello could get to that stage if he does well (and I hope he does).

Of course this has only been one transfer season and it is important to build on that. Since we now have two non-EU spots available we have a great opportunity in the winter transfer season to make an impact.

Honestly no...

I think Chelsea have priorities elsewhere. They bought Deco... which will help in the area of attack... but they will be looking for another forward I believe...

I understand that, and I really don't want to get in trouble anymore.

Lets just agree to disagree as we're never gonna agree on anything.

I mean what u think is great, but when someone mentions facts like Abbiati was only a backup to Franco who is not at the level of a world class keeper then how it doesnt make sense how he could be better then eithier Dida or Kalac.

Gallaini has made important signings but there are still spots which need to be filled, and this is a natorious opinion not just mine.

SO again plz, if u are going to reply to my posts Directly or Indirectly plz stay on topic . Thats all i ask.
I have stayed on topic and addressed the issues here. Abbiati is a great keeper, and I think he's better than Atletico's Franco (this is just not opinion). He's also better than Kalac or Dida. Where did I stray from the topic?

Galliani made important signings to fill most of the holes in our squad, but there is no reason to sell Kaka to fill the remaining positions. We simply can go to Brazil and sign two players from there...

Or since we have two Non-EU spots available, we could use one of those to sign Carlos Kameni... I've brought him up a while back... he's the Espanyol keeper and Espanyol may have to sell him due to financial difficulty... did I mention he's just 24 years old and one of the best African keepers I've ever seen?

lol hes priceless right now, him and messi both. the only offer id consider would be messi + money for kaka, otherwhys any other player + cash offers or any offers at all, definite no.

I think this thread should be close as some of us here are really taking this rumor that I call the joke of the summer too seriously

IF Milan will sell Kaka next year for how much money do you think it worth selling him?
What do you think it is the right price?

You asked if anyone believes that a club is willing to pay 100mlns for one player and that’s exactly the point
For less money it doesn’t worth selling him
That’s the way I see it
If Kaka will leave it should be for a record fee(especially if he will be sold in the next 3 years)

If nobody is ‘mad’ enough to pay 100 for a player than he will play for Milan until the end of his career

"Luxury" players are ones that wins you titles. Especially ones like the UCL. they also bring in a lot of income and new fans to the club. They move the team to a new level. Now clearly there is a price that would on a purely logical and business like level be the right price to sell, but Milan ain't a business.

you said it yourself, if we sell him we need to replace him with a great playmaker. Keep what works and sell what don't work.

A world beater only becomes a luxury when there isn’t enough depth, when there is depth having a world beater increases the quality level as per example Chelsea and Real Madrid who have strength in numbers, to these type of clubs the luxury of a world beater can be afforded.

Another point is u don’t replace a world beater with another world beater like Messi or C.Ronoldo but one who has the potential of becoming one, like Ribery, Deigo ect. Or else it would be pointless to do so. An example of this is again Juve who when they did sell Zidan purchased Nedved who at the time was no world beater but won the European player of the year.

Having a world beater is also risky as much as it is rewarding.

For example kaka, Ronaldinho, C.Ronoldo are able to have a great season and carry their team to win Champions league title, but if injured or out of form can bring down a team. For example Ronnie carried Barcelona to a league and Champions league double in 2005 and Kaka the Champions league title in 2007. But what happened after to Barcelona and Ac Milan, when Ronnie and kaka were out of form or Injured....... Well a big disappointment as the following year Barcelona didn’t win a single title and Milan not able to qualify for the Champions league.

In contrast you have teams like Chelsea, Inter(lately), Real Madird(past 2 season) who don’t have a world beater but have a solid group of world class players and depth. They are able to maintain more consistency because they are able to replace an injured or out of form player with another. For example if Lampard gets injured, Balack or Essien step in, If Ibrahimovic gets injured Balotelli was able to step in. For real Madrid if Robinho was out of form Robben was able to come in near the end of the season.

All these examples are to prove a point which is quality in depth is safer and guarantees more consistency then depending on a world beater.

When a world beater is injured or out of form and is forced to go to the bench, he changes the whole set up of a team and the team suffers because of it.

Back to the point, Selling a world beater doesn’t mean u have to replace him with another, but instead building a more solid squad with strength in numbers is proven to be more consistent and a reliable system. A world beater is able to provide that magic but that magic can turn on or off and if theres no replacement the whole squad will suffer.

We have built a squad with great amounts of depth. We don't need to sell Kaka to achieve these objectives. In fact Kaka is part of that depth and HE WANTS to play for Milan. We can't sell Kaka, or simply put... we will win nothing and not find a replacement. Also if Kaka is injured, we have Seedorf and Ronaldinho to step in... two world class players.

No one has named reasons why we should sell Kaka, at least not well supported reasons.

I think this thread should be closed.

I'm pushing to have this thread locked. You have said what you believe many times (as have I and many others) and I simply think this is beating a dead horse, if you get what I mean.

I have plenty of respect. And I've read your entire post. I just simply don't find it well supported. Sorry.

It's been established Kaka isn't being sold nor does he want to leave.
