But if Sheva is too expencive I have found a forward that is out of contract and is a pure striker still

Still early days but I wasn't impressed by our defence in the first trofeo tim match against Juve. I thought the "reserve" defence did a much better job against Inter than the "1st choice" defence.

Hopefully Galliani would have noticed that and surprises us with a new defensive purchase.

I have a strong feeling that, since we won the TIM, Galli will come out and say that we have a strong team b/c we manage to beat INter and Juve without alot of our stars(R80 and Pato).

If he comes out and say that, man, he will once again be the biggest joke in the football world.

Couldnīt agree more, my friend...
I still donīt know how our board let Alex(Carloīs favourite defender) still to be a Chelsea player. MAybe itīs true that Chelsea will not sell him...

Btw, at least Alex has just 2 years of contract, and maybe we can pull a Flamini(Like you, I think Flamini will be a monster in red&black) for the second time.

I just hope we donīt bring Alex Silva...he isnīt a R. Junior, but will be a huge disapointment. If it isnīt Alex(as you said the only one worth of Nestaīs place) I hope the brazilian defender to be Thiago Silva(this guy has potential) or David Luiz, a real clone of Nesta...

Of course, I dont believe we will sign Alex, ever. And about Sheva we will take him on loan or something like that, so we dont have to pay.

But the key to italian teams is their defence. You can have solid defence ( not world class ) and a magical keeper, like Juve. Or a normal keeper but great defenders.

We, now, have 2 world class defnders - Nesta and Zambrotta ( aldough currently totaly unfit, but it will be ok aguess), and few good defenders: Kaladze, Bonera, Maldini, Marek. But our GK - Kalac and Dida - is a joke! IF Abbiatti gets into good form, and he looks motivated, we might get an extra quality at the back.

P.S.

Are there ANy informations about Nesta's injury? For how long will he be out?

It is difficult, very difficult to know what is happenning inside Milanello. They said, one time , about Nesta, that his injuries came from/during/after an hot derby, in reality played on playstation! Now, always they said, the trouble (back) came when he tried to lift his little daughter, bending his back. Considering Dida was injured when he standed up from the bench ... the question: is Milan Lab working really believing to be next Oscar winner for Comedy???
ps.: Ancelotti assures Nesta will be ready for Berlusconi Trophy , on agust 17.

Yep, I still rememer the day we signed R. Junior...I respect our board, but I donīt beleive they watched R. Junior playing in Brazil(Palmeiras). Itīs not possible...R.J. was an average(and crazy) defender at best...the best game I saw RJ playing was as holder midfielder...and now(if itīs true) this Alex Silva rumour

AS I said, Thiago Silva has potential(and is playing at a great level), but Alex Silva is a joke...

Man, we are just one player to be a amazing squad...and it isnīt a foward, it is a center back!

Itīs simple, my friend: 2 times best defender of brazilian league...3 years in Eredivise, 3 times champions and chosed the best defender of Holland 3 years in a row...3 years chosen int the top 5 Champions League defenders(and playing for PSV)...in his first year in Premier League(some people believed he would be a huge flop because of a "lack of pace"), played more time than the 2 Chelsea legends(Carvalho and Terry had big injures) and Chelsea was the best defence of Europe...until the starter pair became fit and Alex go back to the bench. Coincidence or not, after Alex being benched, Chelsea lose to M. United the title(and numbers) of the best defence in Europe.

Not only this, but also for Carlo(a italian, that coached legends like Maldini, Sandro...) Alex is the best defender in the world. Our beloved M.V.B. also chose Alex for his best eleven in the world...Capelo also asked for him to Real Madrid...When Alex play for Brazil NT with Juan, our defence also looks amazing...the guy also is a amazing professional.

His record, as 25yo defender(we know that they are at the best at 28) speaks for himself...the only problem for Alex is that he chose to be a defender. Man, if Alex showed this level being a brazilian mid or CF...

But donīt get me wrong, Siregar...itīs your opinion and I respect, I just donīt agree

Wow, thank you Brasileiro. I really like how you write all facts about him. Very good post, I have to admit

By the way, did Carlo say that Alex is the best defender in the world? I never read it before and perhaps I missed it.

From your posts above, your first choise is David Luis? Why? Why not Alex or Thiago Silva? What makes David Luis is better than the others?

Yes, Carlo said it. Two year ago Carlo's wish for mercato was: Alex, Ribery, Toni...

Brasiliero, Im also frustrated by the fact that we can never COMPLETE our squad, but we always carry on some kind of invalid spot in our game. Once its GK, once itsa LB, this year its lack of CB's...

With Alex, for example, and the backline of Zambro-Nesta-Alex-Kaladze ( Flamini+Rino in midfield) - go on and try to score.

Bonera and Kaladze cant play without the leader beside them, they are simply not good enough.

I would rather prefer, we go for Lucio from Bayern and Adebayor. I dont believe the negotiation will be that tough. These are ACMilan standard players and they will bring enough substance in the squard. They are young and believe that their salaries will not that too high. One good advantage is that they are both good in the air and very aggressive players. If we try to test Bayern, Lucio will definitely put them under pressure and they will sure be ready for the deal. Either full cash or they might be interested in Kaladze.

I say like I said a few pages ago, in order for us to have success, we must get those scouts from Napoli, that way we will sign the next Hamsik and Santacroce

per ACMilan.com

MILAN - A.C. Milan communicate that the footballer Marco Borriello was checked today in Antwerp by professor Marc Martens. Tomorrow, also in Antwerp, the Milan striker will be subjected to a knee operation. | |

They don't mention the nature of the surgery, nor how long he'll be out, but it looks like the Sheva rumors are becoming more and more valid...
