I feel sorry for those 2 Uruguayan kids, i can't see them playing much at all. But if they do then you have to ask why Gourcuff or Abate wouldn't have been given the same chance. All though they may offer some diversity in our team, i would still rather see them loaned out where they'll get regular playing time (and as it would free up a non EU spot), sell 1 or 2 more players to trim the squad and then sign Zhirkov. I know he'll cost about £10 million, but i think it would definately be worth it.

I wonder if we could get a striker on loan like we're trying with Ivanovic? Hull city are apparently trying to get Claudio Pizzaro on loan, so surely somewhere out there there's a striker who could come to us.

And if I remember correctly, Dida was holding out for more money and if Milan didn't re-sign him, then he would have gone to Barca on a free.
Goal.com? Pfft. They're hardly the most trustworthy source in football news.

The rumors of him going to Barca were BS. The Barca sporting director (can't remember his name) publicly said they had no interest in him.

Keep in mind I'm not refuting you simply because I'm a fan.

Your comments and not the article are the stupid nonsense if you truly believe this is a normal and accepted action.

In Milan its notmal. Those palyers will not paly and are not disturbance for young primavera palyers. Ba, Seedorf's friend, brother, Kaka's brother ( aldough a bit better then those ) are here to help players who feel maybe homseciks or have some personal problems and so on...We dont know it all.

WPersonally I dont care about it as long as our squad has 20 good palyers and a professional coach. Carlo's dad can train with them as far as Im concerned.

Ok guys stop fighting mrki and jim you BOTH have good points. I guess it's all up to management NOT to pay/play Chedric Seedorf to the point where it causes a disruption...but at the same time the family spirit is whar sets us apart from EVERYONE...so we have to take the bad with the good.....and finally families are BASED on nepotism

He's a regular for the Serbian NT and forms a brilliant CB partnership with Vidic.

Last summer he was rumored to join Juve so we, juve fans, followed him a lot until he went to Chelsea and he never disappointed on the matches we've seen. One of his qualities i like, apart from being very intelligent when plays the defense, is his ability to score goals. I had the luck to watch him on the matches where he was scoring goals (vs Portugal NT, Milan friendly last summer etc).

As for why he didn't play for Chelsea at all...it's easy to explain. I've seen him play and i'm sure that it has nothing to do with him not being good enough. The problem is that the Russian season just finished when he joined Chelsea and he lacked fitness, after playing football for the whole spring, summer and autumn.
Until the time he was ready to play, Chelsea were in a situation where they were fighting to win both EPL and CL and every match was a must win for them. Grant had to use Carvalho-Terry in every single match because he didn't want to risk anything. Even Alex wasn't getting much (any) chances in these later stages of the season.
Thanks for the informative post. I don't think it's just him finishing the Russian league that left him out. Alex and Carvalho were very good together (better than Terry-Carvalho imo), and I think Ivanovic had little space in that squad (as you said).

I noticed his goal to game ratio actually. Do you know how he scores mostly (i.e. From corners?)

Pooly translated Ivanovic update:

"The transfer of the Serbian defender Branislav Ivanovic from Chelsea to Milan would be already made. The Blues, according to what we read on the pages of British newspaper The Times, would be ready to sell the player on loan to rossoneri with the right of redemption. The trade could end during next days."

So what if Milan sign Kaka's brother, Seedorf's brother/friend, or Ibrahim Ba? As long as they don't take up squad space or come at the expense of a first team signing, so what?

I thought Ba is more instrumental for future scouting in France.

And you are right? What if they are signed and not played and not taken up any positions anyway? who cares?

If we are so strapped for cash...why throw away money to people who won't play for us ?

If Milan sign Ivanovic, can we all agree that Milan had probably their best market campaign in years, and probably the best in Europe this summer?

Nepotism is always demoralising for the rest of the team.

Oh, and good luck with the dyslexia. Dog bless.

nah, its only on keyboard somehow with the word "players", as I write fast. Never had any problems in writing and I write a lot. Thanx for the comment dough - now go to learn some manners towards other people you dont know, good luck to you also.

To think that the fact that some players that are not real top players train with Milan is nepotism is simplynot true as those players do NOT participate in actuall playing time, or they are a candidates for that.

In nepotism people from families actually have some influence on the work ( some firm, company and so on...). So this is not nepotism.
