You're examples highlight Milan sticking with the players who were great but have deteriorated over time. Yes, that is an example of family atmosphere at Milan. But once you start signing player's family members to keep them happy, then I believe you crossed the line. Imagine working at an office and then finding out that the boss's son got hired in another department. Then you find out this guy is so dumb he doesn't know how to tie his own shoes. He's in a different dept. so it doesn't impact you, but you still are going to feel some resentment that this person only got to where they are because of his relations to people in power. That's why I would assume Chedric's signing would be demoralizing to both the senior and youth team.

Cappello had some crap players in his teams, all teams do. They fill up the squad. You can't have a movie with stars and no extras. Squad players are backup in case of a crisis.

Lets end the nepotism discussion now, I don't think we can squeeze any more out of it and its off topic anyway.

Like I said before, with Ivanovich, I think we are very well placed to challenge for the Serie A this year. The squad isn't deep enough for a CL double challenge, but we don't have to worry about that until next year. Dida screwed us into not being able to buy a new keeper, and we're placing a lot of hope on Borriello. Other than that, its been an almost flawless transfer campaign.

that was a stupid, and unnecessary comment... School has nothing to do with spelling a player's name in the correct way.

I myself, sometimes have trouble spelling the "not-so-known" player's names, so yeah, its not his fault

mrki, i take what you're saying about Milan being a very close knit unit and i'm all for that. I don't mind Maldini and others being given contracts every year as i know it's reward for what they've done in the past, it's something they've earned through their own technical skill & merit. What i dislike (and therefore agree with Russo-Neri) is when people who are undeserving of rewards are brought in just to make players feel better, i think that is too much. Have them around the family areas by all means, but they don't need to be training with the team or receive a salary.

My feelings about Seedorf are well known and it's unfortunate that the 2 main people in question here involve the Dutchman. But don't you think it's weird that a man whose spent so long in Italy now, still needs his circus performing mate and now his kid brother with him to make him feel better? Because his place is now for the first time under serious threat he acts like a baby and to appease him we grant him his wish of letting his no hope younger brother come on board with us. These are not the actions of a 31/32 year old man, this is the behaviour of a child.

All i'm saying is we should be firmer with these things.

Since Ivanovic sounds so great I hope we do get him somehow. Maybe on loan and option to purchase in January transfer window or end of season?

we are offloading defenders... gotta say something imo :/

besides, Digao should get a bit of playing time, as long as Kaka is happy :P

Chelsea are set to make a major announcement in the next hour or so. Could they have got Kaka? Robinho is more likely i guess. We'll just have to find out!
