So I guess there is nothing that we can discuss but silly rumors, that sucks.

Unfortunately I believe that the Sheva issue is not a silly rumour, looks more likely to be a done deal in a very short time.

How about Ivanovic? Are Milan still chasing him?

Latest on Sheva as per La Gazetta

Sheva Jo Join Milan Tomorrow

Chelsea striker Andrei Shevchenko will complete his return to Milan tomorrow in a one-year loan deal, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

Roman Abramovich and Silvio Berlusconi held a decisive meeting last Thursday, which took place at Villa Certosa in Sardinia, where they came to an agreement which will see Shevchenko move to San Siro on loan. The transfer is likely to be completed tomorrow, or Friday at the very latest, and Chelsea will also pay €6.5m of the player’s wages. Shevchenko, who is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, and was not called up for the first game of the season against Portsmouth on Sunday, is set to be handed the number 76 shirt, after the year of his birth.Ivanovic may be also included in this dealing.

IMO to use Flamini as a left back would be a sin against nature - he must play in central midfield.

Also even if we do get Sheva, I'm not sure he'd be a starter (at least not if Pato plays like he did last season), it would serve him right to sit on the bench while a 18-year-old and a 35-year-old play in stead.

Did you see the season where Flamini was used as LB in Arsenal? IMO that was his best season there.

Selling Kalac is very unrealistic, and selling Favalli (though necessary) ain't gonna happen either since he signed a new contract earlier in the summer.

And even if we got Kovac, we'd still be a class defender short...

Fair enough, but I disagree. And I'm pretty sure Arséné Wenger does too, as he was close to selling Flamini to some mediocre English club (I forget which one) just a year ago - so he couldn't have too great at left back, you'd think .

Anyway, do you think we'll beat the cr*p outta Spain tonight?

If Shevchenko coming is true and if Viudez is loaned, then we could again go for Ivanovic, or other non-EU players, couldn't we ?

About Shevchenko, it's a good news IF he's really a replacement of Paloschi, that means only if he is used as 4th striker after Pato-Inzaghi and Borriello (because he has to be given a chance).

Good point. If Sheva comes, then I don't see how we can get Ivanovic as well seeing as they are both non EU.

Sheva coming means bye bye Paloschi. That's great news because Palo is going to be a great player and loaning him out to a team like Torino will definitely speed up the process.
