He left for his family... The next person that calls him a traitor should be the one who would pick Milan over his or her family.

If not grow up and support our team. Sheva is a badass striker and he will score many goals this year.

"In any case, in general, it's not certain that Shevchenko arrives and it's not certain that the market is closed if Shevchenko arrives."

This is a direct quote of Carlo. There might be one last suprise....

I have conflicted feelings regarding Sheva. I think of two contrasting images when I think of him. Jumping all over Dida with ecstasy after scoring against Buffon in Manchester, and him kissing Chelsea's badge after scoring in his debut, weeks after leaving Milan. It was a mistake for every party involved when he left. We all know this. I hope he still has a fire that burns and wants to prove to everyone that he's still Sheva. I don't know if this latest move is the final piece of the puzzle, or the final crack that will collapse the glory of Milan. I guess it all depends on the atmosphere. We're treading into Real Galacticos territory here, with Seedorf, Ronnie, Kaka, Gattuso, Sheva... I'm glad Maldini is still around to assert his leadership. I don't know about it, though. Is he still great?

In any case, I'm just glad I now have a good attacker to use in PES2008.

Viudez and Cardacio will continue training with us, they are two young players who are integrating themselves well. Later we will evaluate if Viudez will be able to play with the Primavera.
The youngsters will also continue training with the first team and the same goes as with Pato and Viudez

A mistake on Sheva's behalf, and Chelsea's of course, but not on ours. If there's a player who wants to leave (= has no loyalty), and the club he wants to join are willing to pay an awful lot of money (especially for a thirty-year-old striker) then I think Milan did the right thing.

The mistake we made was not investing the money in a proper replacement and possibly now in bringing him back. We don't know the terms of the transfer yet, so how much we had to shell out is unknown. But signing a nearly 32-year-old striker who's been awful for the past two seasons doesn't seem like the best of deals.

Furthermore we're talking about a player who's despised by much of the fanbase (as can be seen by the reactions on this forum), even if he was fantastic during his original spell here.

On the one side it's about taking a gamble on a player - and a gamble it is for many reasons, i.e. form, age, the fans, the other players (who weren't happy with the way he left wither), etc.

On the other it's about sending a signal: "Milan signing another past-it player", "Milan so desperate they're embracing a traitor" and so on. Just in case we're thinking about our image and - some would say - self-respect.

Pride? you are accusing the same people who had to be threatened NOT to buy Caesar Apreciado, who bought Favalli, Ba, Chedric Seedorf, Vieri Antonini $hevchel$ki, dumping Crespo, Rivaldo and possible Ronaldo and who seem to be pursuing Stentardo and Senderos -of having PRIDE?

I hope when Pato gets loaned for full rights on Senderos the lot of you have some Johnny Walker to chase your Kool-Aid with

Oh, and one more thought to this turnaround in events. I don't care what anyone says, but Pato deserves to stay AND keep the number 7 jersey. If Ronnie couldn't take the 10 back from Seedorf, then I say theres no way in hell that Sheva gets special treatment, godson of Berlu or not.

There has to ba catch to this deal. Transfer fee was disclosed and Galliani never disclosing anything. Be prepared to see Kaka go to Chelsea next season.

Borriello is still largely unproven and in my eye, i still see years of dissapointment and its just had to believe 1 good season (and really only half 1) that he'll be up to it at milan.
When you look at juve and inter they have trezeguet, amauri (trez proven machine in serie A) inter have adriano, ibra, crespo, cruz... perhaps inzaghi is more than comparable to last 2....but first 2 are incredible talents who havent proven in serie A. Even roma have totti who is a 20 goal a year machine.
Beyond in europe, bayern- toni, klose and podolski. Barca.. long list. Real Madrid long list. I'm not even ging to into EPL but i think you all get my point. We still lack a top class CF who will put in goals when needed.
Sacchi even said so, we said we wanted a striker, berbatov, etoo, adebayor... we sign a playmaker. A position we have kaka and even seedorf at. We will still have the same problem, spectacular goals will come, but we'll lack a true presence like drogba or torres who will consistantly score, week in week out, sometimes ugly, sometimes just generic, but definately necessary.

Not Frey, Buffon, Julio Ceasar, Doni. At best 5th best keeper in serie A.

Zambro 31. Antonini... midtable player at best. How is this an improvement? For a team w/ no wings dependant on FB runs... it'd make sense to sign a plaer in molds of cafu and serginho.... dani alves, rafinha etc etc. Instead we sign aging Zambro and antonini who wont be a starter

Guys, pls, STFU about our management. they have done a superb job. i didn think they cud actually do it, but they have. what the hell more do u guys want? flamini, ronaldinho, sheva, zambrotta, where does the greed stop? considerin we are not playin cl, this team is one defender away from being set. This whole thing about shevcenko, its not feelings, its BUSINESS. he is a PROVEN winner on our side, and we know, we don't think, but we KNOW, that he will rise again for us and play beautiful futball. at the price that he cost us, he is well worth it considerin the amount of goals he will provide for the next 2-3 years. guys remember, this is a business. you all talk about our management being subversive and dragging on transfers, but we are being strategic, and in the end we get what we want and most importantly, in the way that we want (most of the time). And in the case of sheva, the potential benefits clearly outweigh the costs. so no emotions, jus business and clear cut thinking. plus, i cant wait till he starts scoring for us again, and to see him quickly transforming from traitor to hero in everyone's eyes.

our team was old, dissilusioned, unmotivated. The bulk of milan fans wanted YOUN HUNGRY players. No one doubts ronaldinho's ability. Sheva's accomplishments, zambros accomplishments. but on that same level... no one questions gattuso, pirlo, nesta, seedorf, maldini and so on. They are all legends of the game. Some of best players of there generation. Some like maldini will go on as greatests ever, others like seedorf may be underrated in history but no1 of knowledge will doubt there accomplishments. The point is we needed to BUILD for the future. Not bring in aging vets. You're right we're not in the champions league, so why not purchase the likes of dani alves or rafinha instead of zambro. Why not bring in benzema instead of ronaldinho. Before you jump on me about how these plaeyrs r unattainable im simply making a point. The 20+ mil ronaldinho cost, could have been used on a TOP TIER young talent. And thats the problem I have. I wanted ot turn the page, build for future. The same way manutd did brinigng nani, anderson with scholes and giggs. They dint go sign a 31 year old and a 28 year old. they went after guys around 20 who they knew were proven talents, who over a 2-3 yar period could replace there legends as they slow down.

I agree with you 100% Sheva will have a new number and add more history to our beloved Milan..
