It's just funny, he was a "lyer" for some people but he got all the players that seemed to interest him for real.

I knew that being in the UEFA cup would not affect our transfer market. I knew Berlusconi was going to come back roaring after watching his beloved Milan get hurt.

I think we all owe the management alot after such a great transfer market, but I have to admit - they are the ones that put us in this mess in the first place. Grazie uncle Silvio for the great market!

One more CD and we would be PERFECT! Would also be nice to see a few names go out so we could also cut some expenses (*cough* DIDA *cough*).

I disagree. It's not great market but only good market IMO.

Now that Sheva is here...really lets put aside all the criticisms and watch him play...I'm damn sure he will be great addition for at least next two years for sure

Heard that Udinese has contracted him up until 2010...is that right?

Havent seen much of him (as we seldom gets to see Udinese matches......Serie A is not so popular in India....Its behind the English, Spanish and even the Bundesliga)

We could have solved our current CB situation by buying Kompany for £6 million, that's all Man City paid (i believe). For me he would have been a better option than either Senderos or Kovac, his versatility as a defensive midfielder would have come in handy (meaning we wouldn't have to rely on Brocchi or Emerson).

However, that opportunity has passed and now we must look for another good deal. We're obviously not going to shell out on Zapata (it won't be much longer before someone snaps him up) Ivanovic or Thiago Silva, so anyone have any new ideas on who we could get?

Yup Kompany allready played a very good match for City and they paid about € 8,5 mil. That ship has sailed for now.

Udinese just signed Sala, hopefully as a replacement for zapata who will come to us.

The team doesn't need only 1 DC, the team needs and a good GK, i can't trust Calac Dida or Fiori, those players are finished.I can't belive Milan is paying them each year!I just can't believe it!
Remember my words even if we sign the best DC of the world(HA!HA!) we will loose many points and games from the current GK's we have. GK's position is very important for each club, looking ours the one is worst from the other.
I can't see us winning Serie-A or Uefa with 3 bad GK's.For sure they will make many mistakes in that year.

Completely out of left field and not a position we need to fill, but i'd like to see Adriano (Seville winger) join us. I think he'd make a great squad addition and an ideal Serginho replacement.

Management promised Ronaldinho and Shevchenko and they delivered. All the on-off negotiation rumours was just media garbage selling newspapers.

The promised depth to the squad and they brought in Flamini, Antonini, Zambrotta, Borriello and promoted youth players and bought youth players from Uruguay.

Maybe we should have bought Benzema, Eto, Deco, Diego, Quaresma and then if they struggled in their first season of serie-a then we could find someway to blame Galliani for buying too many stars at once

Some people are never satisfied.

Management have obviously made the scudetto the priority and they feel that experienced serie-a players are better for the team than stars that have never played in the league before

Therefore based on that theory and on the known players(excluding the youngsters) we bought only Flamini and Ronaldinho are gambles. Flamini has already shown that he was a great buy and fits in perfectly.

Yes, the defensive injury crisis puts us under pressure to find a starting CB but I have faith that we will get somebody before the deadline

As for the Sheva move...

Lots of rumours stating that somehow Kaka was included in some future deal. If thats the case then management have made mistake. On the other hand if we lose the scudetto this season and we didn't bring in all the players we have, he would have probably left anyway.

Sheva didn't adapt to the EPL and had 2 surgeries while he was over there and hardly any game time. And Chelsea's 4-5-1 is very different to our 4-5-1/4-3-2-1 which cleary didn't suit his style of play. Yet he still managed to score some great goals while he was there.

So clearly he hasn't forgotten how to score goals, which is something we need.

Milan desperately need to win a scudetto and that means scoring goals and conceeding as few as possible.

Inzaghi hasn't got 90min in him anymore but is still the classic match-winner that can come on in the 2nd half.
Borriello if he gets match time and can reproduce last seasons form could do wonders with Milan however he is injured.
Kaka is out for who knows how long and every little knock he gets over the season could put him out for a few games here and there. What if he has a loss of form this season, happens to everyone?
Ronaldinho is under pressure to perform and deliver and if he buckles under the pressure then what?
Pato has so much talent it isn't funny and we saw what he did last season even when the pressure was on but we all know ur 2nd season is the hardest.
Paloschi has a lot to learn still and we can't put all the scoring pressure on him, although he handled it well during pre-season.

Which leaves us with Sheva, the 2nd highest scorer in Milan's history who still knows how to score and knows serie-a like the back of his hand.
This is the same Sheva who time after time when Milan had their backs to the wall, almost single-handedly won games for us.
This is the same player who would deliver when Kaka wasn't given the space or had a bad

Based on the above and his dark exit, he will be under pressure to perform and he will have to shoulder the scoring responsibilty for the early part of the season.

I realise that fans are still unhappy with him leaving but of all the strikers out there I think he is the only one who will handle all the pressure that will be on him.

I could be totally wrong and we will see at the end of the season and if I am I will admit it then.

$heva, for me, shouldn't have been brought back, and certainly not at the price of a nonEU spot.

This limits who we can now aquire for the CB position, which the Sporting Gijon match highlighted as an area where we continue to be below par.

One could argue that Paloschi on a different day would have scored even one of the clear cut chances he got, and thus made a different game of it....but the 1st goal Gijon scored was simply poor defending.

The 2nd...well...good free-kick...won't argue that one...

Unless we bring in a CD, even with R80, $heva, et al, I think we will not have prepared as best as we could have, given the circumstances.

Milan have completed the signing of Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos on a one year loan deal, with the option to make the move permanent next summer.

With Dario Simic and Digao both being offloaded, things started to become desperate for the Rossoneri when primary target Branislav Ivanovic, who had seemed certain to join from Chelsea, saw his transfer fall through at the last moment.

It was reported last week that Milan had turned their attentions to another Premiership based player, in the form of Arsenal centre back Philippe Senderos, and the deal has now been officially completed.

The Swiss centre back arrives on a one year loan deal, and Milan have the option to make the move permanent for a set fee next summer.

Senderos had been well down the pecking order at Arsenal following an error-prone season last term, and Arsene Wenger signalled his intention to let him leave after signing Manchester United’s Mickael Silvestre last week.

The 23-year-old Senderos made 74 Premiership appearances, scoring four goals, since signing for Arsenal from Servette in December 2002.

He has won 31 caps for Switzerland, playing at World Cup 2006 and Euro 2008.
