We dont need average player for defence departement as we have already many defenders but we lack the DC with quality guarantee.

Once again the management didn't listen to Carlo and bought him an average player in defence when he clearly wanted a defender who could take over the place of Kaladze right away, but i hope Senderos doesn't play like he did in Arsenal he did some awful mistakes playing there maybe he just needs a change of environment (me optimistic)

It seems to be true as TGcom is also reporting this.

I was really hoping for Zapata.

I hope Zapata is still around next summer....

I actually like Senderos but I know you guys hate him so I'll shut up ...just know he isn't as bad as people say.

We have to remember, we are not a CL team this year. With slashed funds and the appeal of playing in the big tournament, we will have to scratch at what we can get. Based on the fact that we are not in the CL, I think we really had a good summer which will hopefully only get better next summer.

Only seen the Senderos news on Goal.com myself. Neither Milan or Arsenal seem to have announced anything yet.

I think people are too harsh on Senderos. Yes, he is not a world class central defender, but how many of those do you find that are 23years old? What we get is a young (23 is very young for a CB) player with quite a bit of experience (for his age) both for Swiss and in top European level. Senderos has good physical attributes that we need, and his biggest weakness seem to be marking. Now remember, we have two legendary CBs in the club in Paolo and Nesta, and Senderos will definantly be in good hands in terms of learning and improving. Oh and another positive thing: he already speaks italian! In other words he will most likely dont need as much time to adapt to Italy as many other players.

The negative thing though is that he has been injuried alot so far in his football-life. But since this is a loan deal with option to buy, we can ship him back if it fails. But if this succeeeds, we will have a potential world class CB for 10-15 years to come.

Not sure how I feel about the Senderos move as I was hoping we get a CB that was clearly WC and not someone that has the potential to be world class. Plus, I'm not sure that Senderos is an improvement over Kaladze at this point. But in spite of this, you have to hand it to Milan's mgmt! They have done an absolutely OUTSTANDING job at revamping our squad with both starting players and depth. If you look at our lineup, we are at least 2 deep in every position.

RB: ZAMBROTTA, Oddo
LB: JANKULOVSKI, Antonini, Favalli
CB1: NESTA, Senderos, Darmian
CB2: KALADZE, Bonera, Maldini

That's pretty impressive and I believe we have enough depth to cover in the case of injury - with the exception of Pirlo. If Pirlo needs a rest or god forbid gets injured, I think we would have to get away from the Xmas tree and use the 4-2-3-1. Do I wish we could have signed a GK like Boruc or a CB like Zapata? Sure. But let's not get greedy here. Milan have signed 5 players this summer that will immediately crack our starting XI and potentially 6 if Senderos works out. We needed some changes and we certainly made them. I can't remember a season I've been looking forward to more than this upcoming one.

Agree completely, we surely have gotten a much better transfersummer than what i was expecting, even if it's not every player that I wanted that we got. Also its important to consider the young players we now have. Senderos, Cardacio, Viudez, Borriello, Paloschi (new to the senior squad even if he played last season), Darmian, Antonini and Flamini (young compaired to what we are used to) in addition to obviously Pato from last x-mas. We surely have some great prospects for the future in addition to the old and experienced players.

Now we can play: what will be our team Sunday against Bologna ?!

Maybe you could say that they're the same quality, but to some people (including me), their quality is far different.
I don't mind having abbiati @ the moment, while hoping Dida may once again show his worth. But not with Senderos in front of them.. he's like Kaladze v.2.

This limits who we can now aquire for the CB position, which the Sporting Gijon match highlighted as an area where we continue to be below par.

Warro, as long as this isn't a long-term solution then I reckon we are ok. Pato/Paloschi are the future of this club and if Palsochi isn't loaned out, I would like to see the 2 of them partnered in the early phases of Coppa or UEFA group games etc

Inzaghi/Sheva could have an immense effect on their development.

Could prove to be a huge mistake but every transfer made by any team in any league faces that possibility
