Actually Kristen does speak Russian. However, she also speaks fluent English and maybe some of young fans will learn with time that a father cannot bear to hear his son chattering away in English with this mother and have to ask "honey...what is young Jordan saying?". Sure he could forbid her from teaching the kid English but that would be kinda mindless and not in the best interest of the kid.

Anyway...that's not the point of this thread is it? The point is that Sheva is now a Milan player whether we like it or not...so those of you who want to hate him for being a traitor can pi$$ off and support some other club for the next few years till Sheva retires LOL!!

Seriously guys...if you've ever cheered the likes of Javi Moreno, Jose Mari or Antonio Chamot...you can surely cheer on a guy you adored with a vengeance between 1999-2006. You don't have to worship him if you're pi$$ed, just don't berate him....he did a lot for us.

As for me...all is forgiven...I love you Sheva and will continue my worship right where we left off in 2006 (even if you don't score a single goal). Just seeing him in a Milan shirt again is enough to put my ghosts to rest.

And I can understand you defending him, since you are from Ukraine. I'd be delighted to have a Bosnian playing for my favourite club, and would probably try to justify all of his actions

Okay, so it's finally happened. I too was very angry when he left, but after seeing one of our own suffer the humiliation he did at Chelsea, I am very happy that he is now back home and will have a chance to reignite his career and prove again how lethal a striker he is.

That aside, are the technical considerations. And this is where I am against this transfer. We did not need a player like Sheva, we already have Pato and R80 who can play that role. We needed a first striker, someone like Drogba or Amauri. This is what I have been harping about. We should have bought the player we NEEDED, instead we buy a great player when the chance came up, and now have to make the player fit our system (R80 anyone?). My hope is now that we play Sheva as a mobile first striker and start him alongside Kaka/Dinho or Kaka/Pato.

I think we're still far from perfect. This squad has an incredible number of questions surrounding it and there are still many improvements that need to be made.

In GK position, Dida and Kalac are worrying and Abbiati may be solid, but is hardly world class, and I must admit I'm still unconvinced he'll maintain his form all season.

The defence requires a lot of work still. A CB is an absoloute necessity to have a solid defence, as right now our options are Nesta, Maldini, Bonera, Kaladze and Darmian. Nesta is injured fairly often and is our only world class defender. Maldini can perform to a very high standard, but he can't do so with regularity, and thus must be given rest regularly. Bonera has the potential to be a great CB, but at this point is still prone to mistakes and even more can still get caught flat footed. Kaladze is another with potential of starting material, but injuries and some awful performances in the last couple of years make him a big doubt. Darmian is too young to be a starter. Quite frankly, none of our defenders fill me with great confidence outside of Nesta and Maldini. Considering the situation, a new CB is a must.

In LB, we have Zambro, Janku, Favalli and Antonini. Of those 4 only Zambro is good enough and plays with consistency to be a starter. Janku has good days, but is far too much a defensive liability which has hurt us a lot in the last couple of years. Favalli and Antonini are backups, nothing more.

RB is similar, we have Zambro, Oddo, Darmian and Bonera as our options. Zambro can't play both fullback roles so something has to give. Oddo has been atrocious over the last year and right now is unreliable. Darmian again is too young. Bonera can start, as he did superb in RB towards the end of last year, but it looks like we may look to use him CB this year (meaning we're going to be light in one of the roles unless a starter is bought).

In Midfield, Brocchi or Emerson has to go. We're generally ok in terms of depth, but it depends on guys like Gattuso regaining some form. However, Flamini and Cardacio are going to be vital as they add a dynamic we were lacking last year.

Attacking midfield is also in reasonable shape. With Cardacio adding another option here too and Kaka, we do have some strength. Seedorf and Ronaldinho however are big questions. Seedorf when he performs is world class, but it really seems to depend on his mood. Ronaldinho is a similar questionmark, as right now no one can be sure what to expect from him. Our squad is made to utilise our strength in the AM, but if these guys don't perform, then we're in trouble.

The attack is a similar mess to the defence. We have many players but how strong are we really in attack. Sheva is a MASSIVE questionmark, who we don't know what to expect from. Borri has done well for one season in his career. Paloschi is too young to play regularly. Pippo is constantly injured and Pato is a quality player, but there are questions over whether he can excel with regularity and play as our attacking focal point at this stage of his career.

For me, a lot of work will be required next summer to really make us strong.

I agree with AC Milan 1983 our squad clearly lacks depth. The basic problem for me is that for some reason our management believes in quantity of players not quality. Plus I thought we would play with five midfield players and one striker this season. But the arrival of sheva means we are back with four strikers meaning we will play with the same formation as in the last season. But the Million dollar question is which four players will be first choice in the Midfield? (Excluding Pirlo cause he is 100% First choice)

I'm happy for Sheva to come back, we've done a great piece of business I'm sure, and he is where he belongs.
Do you think that he will address the fans in some way before the first match, wear a t-shirt with a slogan underneath or something? I was thinking it would be awesome if he for some reason wasn't available for the first match to go and stand where he did during the last match before he left, that would really be a strong statement.

We clearly need to off load some of the player especially in midfield. I think we had now more that 25 first team player. Brocci, emerson , kalac should have left.

Unfortunatley I disagree with your assessment. Dont get me wrong. What you are saying may indeed be true.
Now that he is a part of this team. He and the rest of the players who may or should have been done and gone with this club need our support.
Sometimes the batch that we have turns up being sour grapes and our mouths come bitter. BUT sometimes the batch or at least part of it becomes fine wine and it is worth savoring the flavor.
We dont know really what will happen come May 2009. As Dev, you and a whole lot of others have argued.... YES I AGREE....we do need some strong rebuilding. The pyramids werent built in a day, month, year, or even a decade. This doesnt mean that they were beset with misfortune because it took so long. I'm sure great things happen when and during and throughout that entire time.

Well i just dont think that closing some threads(petition no shevchenko..) is the right thing to do..I thought that this is a "place" where all of us can write things that we want to share as long as we dont insult anyone..I guess we all care about acm and we express it with different ways..if you think that some threads arent good enough just say so,dont close them its not fare..

I think the reason to close it is simply because sheva is now back and that thread was no longer relevant because it was geared toward not signing him.

If the thread is no longer relevant it can be closed or it can be deleted. And you are right, as long as no one is insulted, this is where we can exchange opinions. The problems pop up when people insist on being insulting!
